KW chapter 2, i do swear i loooove you. (Yeah i can bust a pretty mean ryhme.)

Ok ok i'm finally posting chapter two, no its not my embarrassing story lol that one will probably next lol

Please don't be harsh lol

Disclaimer: I have nothing against lawyers nor do i think they are lame brained. :) *shout out to all the lawyers out there!*

Chapter 2 Three years later
"Why the sad face Kammy?" Kamryns mother said as she was driving, Kamryn in the passengers seat and her four sisters in the back seats, "You know the mansion is twenty times bigger then our house and you'd all get your own rooms, isn't that exciting?" She smiled at her eldest daughter who stared out the window, watching the many trees go by. "I know mommy." Kamryns said distractingly, "It will be great." She managed to smile at her mom to give her a sense of satisfaction then went back to the same position she had been in for the past four hours.
Kamryn wasn't sad about moving, she didn't have friends to miss, and they would no longer have to live in the small two bedroom shack which was most uncomfortable with all seven of them.
Her mother sighed, "Is this about daddy?" she asked, growing frustrated with her daughter, she just wishes that Kamryn would show some emotion sometimes instead of just hiding it from everyone, even herself. "No mommy." Kamryn said, not bothering to turn her head since her mother would know she was lieing.
Her parents had recently gotten a divorce, her mother said that it was because they just couldn't get along anymore but Kamryn knew that he moved in with another lady and they were planning on getting married, not that Kamryns mother would ever tell her daughter.
Kamryn used to idolize her father especially after her grandfathers death, and her mother wanted to preserve that, but lately, in the last year, he had become distant and cold, around the time, Kamryn pointed out, that her youngest sister, Ellie had been born. Her sisters had no clue but Kamryn knew that daddy always wanted to have a boy.
"Well at least we finally got the house, i still don't see why it took the lame brained lawyers three years to carry out my fathers last will." She decided to change the subject, Kamryn wasn't going to budge, so she did. "Its because uncle Johnny fought with them," Kamryn said, recalling the telliphone call between her and her uncle, "He wanted the house and the money but grandfather clearly stated that he would inherit the money, and you the house but that made him mad because grandfather invested almost all of his money into his house especially after grandmother died so he only got one thousand dollars while we got a twenty million dollar house." Her mother looked over for a moment, diverting her eyes from the road. "Kamryn Charlotte, How could you possibly know that?"
"Last time we went over uncles house i listened to his awnser machine while you and he were outside." Kamryn explained, she had always been curious, and she couldn't resist pushing that little bleeping red button. "Why that little slimy rat! I should-" Her mother started, then stopped when she realized all eyes in the car were on her, "Whats wrong my sweeties?" She asked her daughters, Ellie was asleep and the others instantly diverted their eyes back to their coloring books, starting to argue over who got the blue crayon and all being two young to keep what they heard in mind.
Julie gave up on trying to start a conversation with her eldest daughter and just focused on the road and moments later they pulled into the huge driveway. Kamryn got out peering around, you couldn't see the house from the driveway since part of the yard and the trees blocked it, it hadn't changed since she had been their three years prior, and that thought made her smile.
"Kammy, can you get the baby please?" Her mother asked, pulling her other daughters out of their seats and putting them down on the driveway, instructing them not to move or they wont get a cookie. "Yes Mommy." Kamryn walked over to the car and carefully unbuckled the car seat which held her youngest sister, dressed in a yellow dress. Ever since Ellie was born, Kamryn made sure she never wore pink, pink just didn't fit Ellie, she was a yellow girl definently not a pink. Ellie had always been Kamryns favorite, after all, she cant talk. Kamryn also liked that she was quiet, her other sisters had never been quiet even when they were too young to talk and Kamryn liked silence that is why she likes Ellie.
Kamryn picked her up, careful not to startle her and they walked down the short path, Julie leading with the twins next to her and holding Noelle, who was babbling in baby talk and constantly grabbing her puff of red hair that had recently grown in, it was in between being short and medium and Noelle apparently was bothered by this, Kamryn thought about suggesting they just shave it off, but she knew if they did that everyone would think she was a boy because she was one of those baby's that even though their in all pink and usually in dressed with socks that say cutie or princess, people still assume she's a boy.
Then they were there, the twins, who had only been three the last time they had been here gasped, Scarlette grabbed her mothers pant leg and yanked on it with almost enough force to pull them down, Julie who had been used to the many pant grabs over the years instinctively grabbed her pants and Scarlette went "Mommy, look at the house!" Sage went "Are we living there?" while Noelle babbled on in her baby talk, Kamryn figured if she could talk she would say a cuss word then go "Dat a big house." Although that could just be Kamryns imagination since her mother made it a rule that no adult was aloud to swear around her children, although they still did, especially Uncle Johnny whom Kamryn guessed wouldn't be coming over anymore.
Kamryn gazed up at the house, not in awe like the others, almost in sadness. This was the place where she would spend time with her grandfather, where they would play games and explore the house, where he would read her stories.
She really missed those stories of treasure maps and great adventurers conveniently named "Bamryn" that her grandfather would make up on the spot, they were so silly like her favorite, "Bamryn battles the elves then finds a cookie" she used to beg her grandfather to retell the story, and each time he did it would change, but only slightly, the concept was always the same; Bamryn would battle an evil elf named Stinky then her wonderful handsome all around nice guy grandfather would give her a cookie for her good work.
"Well lets get inside children." Her mothers voice broke through Kamryns thoughts, then she followed her mother into the house, knowing that it would never be like it used to, no matter what would happen there.

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY, WR OUR ONhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifE TRUE LOVE!!

It's been a year.
A YEAR.
Holy freakin' cow guys, it's been an AMAZING YEAR.

I can not imagine what it would have been like this year, plowing through my writing all alone, or ignoring it completely. I can not imagine the sad meager pilings of pathetic writing I'd have at this time, if it wasn't for all of you guys. So first off, I would like to say THANK YOU, to all you amazing people for keeping this site alive and making it be so special.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I LOVE YOU ALL TO PIECES!!!!! :D

And nowwww, for the reminiscing!
For the past few days I've been spending a remarkable amount of time going back and reading all the posts/comments from the very beginning. I know it's a little dorky, but hey, it's our one YEAR anniversary people, and plus, it was a great procrastination tool. ;)
Anyways, I noticed how things were different in the beginning. (For one, how extremely dorky/awkward I was, but yeah, you didn't hear that from me! :P) I noticed how, get this, we used to not know each other! Like, the comments were so different then they are today! Seriously! And our insane levels were dangerously low, I mean, we were practically sane! :O Obviously, that was fixed a long time ago, but I guess what I'm saying is that it's been a journey. We've grown, and changed together. I can honestly say that I know for a fact that ALL of our writing has improved greatly over the year! What we would have done without our support group, I have no idea!
And yeah, that is what it is now. It's not just a "place for young writers to get together and swap stories!" (which btw, I'm changing.) It's a support group. The way I see it, if you want people to critique your stories, go somewhere else. We're here to make you feel wonderful about your writing, and keep you going.
I guess that can be our official statement.
Haha.
But I have to say, if there is one thing that absolutely DEFINES Writing Rants, it is that amazing poem that amazing girl wrote awhile back. I know you all have read it, but hey, you totally need to read it again.

THIS is what Writing Rants is ALL ABOUT.

A SPUR OF THE MOMENT POEM ABOUT WRITING RANTS.
bylaurenreynolds.

A long time ago there was a girl named Anna
On who we've bestowed the word 'pants'.
She clicked here and clicked there and all over everywhere
Until she founded the blog "Writing Rants".

This blog was not normal, no, not at all,
Which is probably why this poem's there,
So Katie and Lauren and Keila as well,
Each decided their writings to share.

There were stories of magic, and love, and hate,
and some of them were a hoot!
With Corin, and Legolas, and Jeremy, too,
Reality's nothing -- these guys are CUTE!

It's been almost ten months now since the site was made,
(This is the SIXTIETH post!!),
But no matter how bad our writing gets,
It's you guys that I love the most.

<33333333

And now.... well guys, it's a New Year!!! And I have some ideas for our future!!!
Of course. ;)
You people know me, I get lots and lots of ideas, some of which are crap and some of which are brilliant. I just can't always tell between the two, so that's what YOU are for! :D

Idea Numero 1: Kelia, you HAVE to write a tune for Laurens poem, and we will all learn it! It's the Writing Rants theme song, remember!

Idea Numero 2: We should all think of some goals for the coming year, in what we want to accomplish in our writing, etc., and post them in the comments.

Idea Numero 3: We should set up some kind of "Board" for WR, where we'd all have official positions, and take votes on everything. Just for kicks, haha.

Idea Numero 4: We SHOULD actually come up with an initiation process for new members (including posting a "Most Embarrassing Story!!" Sorry, I just love that. Muhahahaha.)

Idea Numero 5: (Last one! Promise!) We should start coming up with monthly writing challenges, and if we fail to at least attempt the challenge, then we'd have to be punished. Like, I dunno, have to write all by hand for a week or something. Teehee.

FINALLY- We must all eat something absolutely sweet and delicious to celebrate today! Plus, we are so totally eating these - all of them!!

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum. :P

I don't care if maybe today's not your birthday,

Leggo-my-eggo

Hi All! I recently finnished a long awaited (for me anyway and one of my other friends :P) chapter of my first Lord of the Rings. However, it's not my FAVORITE chapter, by all means I think it s****. Buuuuttttt. Anywho. Now. Considering it's been, like, months since I've posted a chapter of it I think I'll recap, plus, Jessie's never read it in her life (i'll send you the 4 or 5 chapters and you can read em at your lesure.) By the way, Lord of the Rings knowers this is an awesome MV done with Leggo singing They're Taking the Hobbits to Isenguard. It ROCKS! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zczfK8FSqvA , the girl in this picture is Lenia as well.

Okay to recap: My main charactor, Princess and Ranger Lenia (made up) had stubbled across Mirkwood after a battle where her companions, including her brother, were all killed in an attempt to distract Orcs and Wraiths (followers of Sauron, whose evil) from her mentor and 4 hobbits he was escorting. Saved from Mirkwood's guards by the Prince she was taken under medical care from him the best he could do and he took care of her and helped her regain what strength he could until a letter came from Lord Elrond of Rivendale informing him of a meeting that he MUST attend. Lenia begged him to go but he refused, afraid her health would fail if she went on too long of a journey. To her luck Haldir, an elf who works for her Grandparents of Lothlorien and a personal friend of hers, arrived after finding her horse on a trail, once he heard of the meeting he gave two options to her and gave Legolas no choice of answering, either going to Lothlorien from there and then to her homeland and people or strait to Rivendale, she took the latter-too curious in what this dire meeting was. Haldir and his men reluctantly left and Legolas, who was confused by Lenia being called princess, had no choice but to bring her to Rivendale. At the end of the last chapter I did (I'll do that first bit before my next chapter) it's very noticable they have befriended one another even though there's still an odd line drawn between the two of them.

Onto the story :)

End of chapter 5 clip:

Both sat in silence for several minutes. Legolas could tell by the way Lenia spoke that she wasn't in the mood to tell him what exactly happened so he wasn't about to puch the subject further. "You know Haldir well?" Legolas asked breaking the silence that had been laced with the sound of rain.
"Quite well actually." She looked at him, "He visited my home when I was young-he helped escort my grandparents-so it was hard not to get to know him. Once I got to know him well he baby-sat for me often and when I spent time Lothlorien he showed me around and looked after me. Him and I are about as close as Strider and I, and that is saying something." A smiled spread across her face as she spoke Strider's name.
Legolas smiled at her, "Considering you speak of him so often and in such high regard I'd say that's quite the compliment." Legolas said looking at her.
Lenia smiled sheepishly as a light rose color crept upon her cheeks but was shadowed by the darkness of the weather around them.
"Once the rain stops we'll head out again." Legolas said while taking his eyes off of her and taking a spoonful of soup.
Lenia looked at him her cheeks were now their normal pale tone, dusted with freckles dew to too much sun exposure. "You make the rain sound like a bad thing." She said critizing the tone of his voice.
"Well," Legolas started. "the rain is detouring us from Rivendal."
"Yes, that is so." She herself started as she placed her unemptied bowl of soup on the ground and crawled over to where the large pine's limbs ended and stuck her hand into the cold, wet rain, "Though, I have always thought of the rain as the Gods tears whether from happiness, saddness, proudness, or laughter. So as I see it-it's a blessing to be within it's presence , or better yet be in it." She smirked and got out from beneath the pine and stood in the rain letting the cool, pure, water drench her from head to toe.
"You are going to catch cold." Legolas said placing his empty bowl beside him.
Light merry laughter escaped Lenia as she lightly twirled in the cool, water rain. "Why does thou not enjoy the rain, My Lord?" She settled her playful child like eyes on him before twirling again in the rain like a child.
"I enjoy the rain, it's just it's detouring us." He looked at her, "And you're going to catch a cold-you're sick enough as it is already."
Lenia smiled as she pushed a lock of long drenched black hair out of her face while wiping off her dripping brow, "I am perfectly healthly! Besides-the rain never killed anyone."
"No, but phenomia can." Legolas pointed out.
Lenia smiled and walked back over to him, "I am not worried about catching cold, My Lord, I have been in far worse weather."
Legolas smiled back, "Maybe so, but at the moment I think the best thing for you to do is sit down, finnish your meal, and get some rest."
"Of course, My Lord." She said respectively and smiled kindly at him, sat down and began eating while watching the rain. Legolas looked at her bewildered, she hardly ever listen to him-was it something he had said?
'3 days, Lenia, three days.' Lenia told herself inwordly, 'In three days you'll be reunited with family, Gandalf, the Hobbits, and Strider-in three days everything will go back to normal.........won't it?' She looked over to the direction of Mordor, 'No.' A nagging voice came at the pit of her stomach but she shoved it away and told it to be quiet as she slowly ate.

Disclaimer: The only thing I own are my made up plot twists, made up charactors and places, other than that it's 100% J.R.R. Tolkien or the movie company that made it a movie (erg not sure what it's called)

By the way, I haven't read the book so, yeah, it's based on the movie.

HHHHEEERRREEE WWWWEEEE GOOOO!

Chapter 6: Rivendale

By: Katherine LaGassie.

The sounds of chirping birds, running crystal streams, and merry singing voices entered Lenia's hyper-sensitive ears. She took in a deep breath and smelled an all too familiar scent. Lord Elrond. Her heart happily skipped a beat at that thought, she opened her eyes as the brush around them subsided to visibly show Rivendal. She gasped happily-a sound resembing that of a young child finding a puppy on christmas morning.
Legolas smiled broadly, "Welcome to Rivendal." He said as he bought his horse to a hault. "The meeting will be starting soon so we should hurry inside." He slipped off the horses back , "Lenia?" He lightly tapped her leg with his finger clearing his throat.
Lenia was not paying attention to Legolas at all. Her eyes were fixed on the house of Elrond and the figure walking towards them from it. Lenia's face lit up like a light bulb and she jumped off Legolas' horses back ignoring both his help and the sharp pain from her beaten disaproving body. "Uncle Elrond!" She said as she ran full force and threw her arms around her uncle in a heartfelt embrace.
Lord Elrond smiled and wrapped her in an equally warm embrace. "My, you seem to be feeling better than Haldir discribed." He indicated a letter within his hands. "This arrived within moments before you arrived."
"I am feeling better than I have been, I will admit without Legolas I do not know what would have happened to me." Lenia looked over and smiled at Legolas.
Lord Elrond turned and smiled at Legolas, "Thank you for taking such good care of my niece, Legolas."
"It was my pleasure." He smiled and walked over to join them.
Lord Elrond turned back to Lenia, "Your grandparents wrote about your brother, it must have been a terrible fight." He said as he lightly moved Lenia's hair behind her ears to servay more of her injuries.
Lenia's eyes lightly fell, "It was." was all she said and she was silent for quite sometime. "Oh no!" She gasped clasping a hand over her mouth. "Strider, the hobbits-" her heart nearly stopped, "Did they make it back? Are they alright? Uncle Elrond-"
"Lenia dear-"
"Lenia!" A man running down from the house of Elrond said.
Lenia turned and looked around her Uncle, "Aragorn!" She ripped from Lord Elrond and ran toward Aragorn, "You're alright!" She exclaimed as she through her arms around him.
Aragorn chuckled and hugged her back, "When you didn't arrive you had me deathly concerned about what happened to you and your company, then when Galadriel wrote us about what happened and how your horse arrived, well-I--you had me extremely worried." He said and kissed her head, "You have no idea how relieved I am."
"I believe I do." Lenia said and hugged him again, "What happend after we left? What did I miss? Do tell please?"
Aragorn laughed at the anxious tone of her voice, "Slow down, Lenia, let's get you cleaned up and taken care of besides, Kadden and the hobbits are waiting to see you."

She took a deep breath, all the excitment was making her dizzy. "Alright."

"We'll see you at the meeting." Aragorn said to the others and escorted her into the building. "We ran into some trouble after you left. Probably not long after you were attacked the black riders came after us, Frodo was stabbed and had it not been for Elven healing he probably would be dead." He looked at the horrified look on her face, "He's fine." To his relief she relaxed and he gently to her arm to lead her to the medical wing.

"Thank goodness." Her voice reflected her relief, "Can I see him?"

"After you're taken care of." Aragorn said and looked at her, "You know you caused quite a stir in them when you arrived." He smiled

Lenia laughed, "My entrance wasn't subtle if I remember right."

"Arwen put a sword to my throat."

"Remind me to thank her." She teased.

"Shadow..."

Lenia made a joking gasp, "Strider, since when do you call me by the Southern Rangers name for me?"

Aragorn smirked, "Now," He paused and rolled his eyes as he saw the joking defiant look in her eyes, "alright, alright," he sighed trying to sound as annoyed as possible, "Tigers-eye."

"Thank you." Lenia said and her eyes sparkled wickedly.

Aragorn sighed, "You're nearly impossible."

"You know it was a joke, Strider, or have you gone dull on thee?" Lenia teased Aragorn as they reached the wing by using old english that sounded as if it belonged on her tongue.

"No such thing, young ranger." He spoke and kissed her forehead, careful not to put pressure on her recovering wounds, "I will see you at the council meeting." He turned and left.

Frodo was sitting on his bed fidgeting with his bandages when Lenia walked up. "leave it be, Frodo, it won't help it to do such things." She walked in and Frodo looked up at her.

"You're-"

"One of the rangers you met? Uma." A puzzled look crossed Frodo's face, "It's elven for yes." She knelt down before him, "How are you feeling."

I took Frodo a few moments to reconize the woman before him, last time he had seen her she looked quite different. She had, had a ranger cape, jeans, a wrapped shirt, over skirt, and means of battle survival on-all of which were weather and worn from the travel of following them. What sat before him was someone who looked of royal stature. She donned a silver, blue and white elven dress, silver shoes, a necklace heavily resembling the Evanstar, azure bandages, and her wavy hair flowed over her shoulders like a graceful waterfall. "I'm feeling better." He finally said.

"Delightful." Lenia said and smiled, "You are a very lucky person, Frodo." She gently fingered his wound so it wouldn't hurt. "I'm glad you survived despite your injury." She eyed the ring. Her people's life line. It sent an odd feeling over her, as if Mordor was once again staring down her back. "Quite a gift that is indeed." A feared look came across Frodo's face and she laughed merily, "I have no want for that Ring, Frodo. Do not worry. You are safe as long as I am around."

"Lenia, Aragorn told me you might be here." Legolas said from the doorway

Lenia placed her hand on Frodo's knee and gave it a caring squeeze, "I will see you at the meeting." She stood and walked over to Legolas.

"Are you ready to head down to the meeting room?" Legolas asked holding out his arm to escort her.

"No." Lenia said quickly, "I still have to find, Kadden."

"Who?"

"Kadden my-"

"He's right here." Aragorn said walking down the hall holding a dark brown haired, blue-eyed boy, "With his Uncle Aragorn." He smiled ear to ear.

Lenia rolled her eyes but smiled nevertheless, "Kadden!" She ran over to them.

"Atana!" Kadden exclained reaching out to Lenia and she picked him up. Legolas blinked and stared at Lenia, mother?

Lenia turned and looked at Legolas after talking in whisper with Kadden. "Legolas this is my son, Kadden. Kadden," She looked at the boy, "Sina air tia malos, Legolas Greenleaf, haryon en' Mirkwood." (This is my savior, Legolas Greenleaf, prince of Mirkwood.)

Legolas blinked a few times while looking at the 17-year-old and 3-year0old before him. The idea of Lenia as a mother was hard to comprehend but he smiled anyway. "Caeli, Kadden, vaeresi sai taer o." (Hello, Kadden, pleasure to meet you) He said to the boy who only seemed to be able to speak and understand Elven.

"Caelai, voli kadelaes, sal o thys vaeresol tia tystia sai tri." (Thank you, Prince Greenleaf, for bringing my mommy back to me) Kadden replied, his bright blue eyes sparkling just like Lenia's always do.

Legolas smiled, "O-vi baesia shaelysti." (You're very welcome)

Kadden turned his head immediately to Lenia, "Ai jhoji cos tystia!" (I like him mommy)

Lenia smiled and kissed his head. "Ai mi." She spoke in her native Elven so her answer would only be hear by two other in the room and she glanced at Legolas and kissed Kadden's head again. Aragorn's eyebrows raised and he crossed his arms but she paid no attention to him. "Shia pyl's o kai vae shor Eilai Eiseal, jhyl." (Why don't you go play with Auntie Arwen, love)

"Eilol, tystia." (Alright mommy) Kadden said and Lenia placed him on the ground gently.

"Kyr shai, cali ther." (Good boy, have fun."

"Ai shor. Kyr shia iali Eisandrys, kyr shia voli Kaelaels." (I will. Good bye Uncle Aragorn, good bye Prince Green Leaf) Kadden said and ran off.

"He's adorable." Legolas said and looked at Lenia.

She smiled, "Thank you." She looked down the hall. "He refused to learn English."

"Understandable, why use another language but the one you've grown up around?"

"I suppose that is sensible logic." She said and smiled but something more seemed to be hidden behind her confident voice.

"You never mentioned him."

"It never came up."

"What else don't I know about you?"

"You'll find out at another time."

"Where's his father."

Aragorn's eyes flashed dangerously and his body sensed while Lenia swallowed oddly hard, "He left us awhile ago." Was all she said before walking down the hall towards the meeting area.

"Legolas." Aragorn said turning him around before her followed Lenia.

"Yes?"

"Just...don't mention that again. He's nobody she wish to remember-nor do any of us." Aragorn said before going around him and following Lenia. Once again puzzled by the girl that had fallen into his care only weeks before he followed Aragorn.

The rest of the council was already there when Lenia, Aragorn and Legolas arrived. "Hello," Lord Elrond said and indicated the empty seats, "Please take your seats amd this meeting with begin."

Legolas attempted to take Lenia's arm to help her to her seat which was conviently nest to his bu she tapepd his hand , "I'm not old-I can walk on my own." She walked over and sat beside Legolas.

A dwarf stood and began roll call. Lenia let her mind wander most of the time, there were a lot of people to call off before her name would be called. She scanned the area most of the council was made up of elves, some birds were playing in a bird bath and Merry and Pippin were hiding in the bushes while Sam was hiding in the hall.

"Legolas Greenleaf of Mirkwood?"

"Here."

"Aragorn-"

"Here." He said and the dwarf glanced up at him before continuing.

"Lenia Kindal of Nester."

"Nastar." four voices rang out. The dwarf blinked and looked between Aragorn, Legolas, Lenia and Boromir, "Which one of you is Lenia?"

Lenia blinked, she would have thought it obvious, not only was she the only female and Lenia wasn't exactly a male's name but she was the only one left. "I am."

"Very well." Lord Elrond spoke noticing the unease in his nieces voice, "Let us continue, we have buisness to attend to."

"Lenia." Legolas whispered and her eyes darted towards him in response. "I'm sorry for earlier." Lenia's brow furred, "About Kadden's father." Lenia's hand went up and down in a fast response to tell him to not worry about it. "I still am."

Lenia's mouth corners twitched in restraint of smiling but she allowed her eyes to sparkle to allow him to know she'dexcepted his unneeded appology.

"Fellow creatures of middle earth," Lord Elrond began and all attention turn towards him, "An opportunity like no other has arrived and been placed at our feet." His eyes shifted toward Frodo, "Bring forth the ring young hobbit."

Frodo's eyes darted to Aragorn, Lenia and Gandalf all of which nodded to him. He swallowed hard and placed the ring on the table before the council. Several eyes looked over at Lenia as the ring, which was directly before her like a tease, hit the solid stone. She shifted oddly, her whole body crawlin gwith the meer thought of Sauron, demon of darkness that was sufficating her people and half of middle-earth.

"We'll destroy it!" Gimli the dwarf exclaimed after some conversation. Her got to his feet and swung at the ring with his mighty axe.

Pain seered Lenia's body and wracked her brain, "Ah!" She entwined her fingers in her hair as Sauron's words blared like a speaker in her ears.

Aragorn and Legolas turned immediately to Lenia, "Lenia." Legolas spoke worriedly as Aragorn on the other hand just rubbed her back and looked at Lord Elrond.

"You cannot destory the ring, Gimli, son of Gloin." He stone was irrated, "Only the fires of Morder may destroy it." He looked at Lenia who waved him off as she slowly recovered,

There was more conversation that seemed like a blur to Lenia as Sauron's words continued to swirl in her head. Boromir said something and Legolas shot up, words still fuzzy , Lenia attampted to stop him but she was too lethargic and slow. Aragorn told Legolas to sit down in elvish and he did. More arguing continued and Lenia sat there wishing she could just pass out.

Aragorn was still rubbing her back and Legolas had his hand on her upper arm in hope that any healing he knew would go to her.

"Let's destroy the thing, bring it to the fires and let it be lost forever." A dwarf growled.

"Why should we destroy it?" Boromir said looked around the council, most of which tensed. "We should weild it and use it against Sauron and for our own good."Lenia's eyes shot toward him, did this man know the danger that would do to her people and half of Middle Earth? "With it we could destroy Sauron and all his creations, we could bring back the name of man!" Sauron's voice blared once more in Lenia's ears and she winced. Boromir set his eyes on the ring and his eyes sparkled wildly, "Think of the power that all of us would have and all we could do. "

"Boromir." She almost hissed and the council turned to her, she had yet to speak so her sudden tone shocked most of them. All but who knew her well anyway. "Did you not hear a word Lord Elrond just spoke?"

"He spoke of destroying it, not of anything else."

Her head began to pound while thinking of th stupidity of the man before her. "The ring must be destroyed." She urged, the council couldn't leave it standing. They just couldn't.

"And why so, elf." Gimli spat in her direction, coure she didn't hold it to his account, dwarves and elves weren't known to get along and the whole council felt the weight of this decision.

"You cannot weild the ring, it only answers to one master and one alone. Sauron. It will not listen to anyone but it's creator. It must be destoryed. If not half of middle earth could die. Sauron will not stop till he owns or destroys us. I don't know about the rest of you but I will not allow either." What was going on in her was no more a priority to her, the council needed to destroy that ring. Somehow.

"Then one of us will carry the ring to the fires of Mordor." Gandalf said.

After that everything broke loose, each race arguing over who should be carrying the ring and then insulting another race. In the end it was pure kaos, the only two still sitting (other than Lord Elrond) was Lenia and Frodo. Both looked at eachother, Frodo's eyes searching her crystalline sky blue ones for an answer. Finally he got it, she smiled at him and her eyes melted into a caring motherly gaze. All thoughts or feelings of doom seemed to melt away at her feet. "I'll take the ring." No one heard Frodo's voice as he spoke so quietly and his eyes darted at Lenia.

Lenia bit her lip and then looked between Legolas and Aragorn getting an idea, something Aragorn would scold her for later but she was going to do it nevertheless. She quickly made herself look as ill as she could possibly be. She made herself moan and immediately Aragorn and Legolas were both by her side. Her brother would be proud if he was still alive.

"Lenia." Aragorn said ergently and put his hand on her forehead, "What's wrong, what's the matter"

She sighed inwordly, why couldn't Aragorn be in ranger mode, they always understood eachother then, she moaned once more and pointed to Frodo. This time Legolas looked at her, "What about him, he make you sick?"

"For the love of the gods." Lenia whispered harshly,"I'm not sick." She ripped Aragorn's hand of her forehead, "He wants to take the ring."

Aragorn blinked. "You faked that."

"Something Tripton taught me-what the heck does that matter for?" Lenia said looking at him.

"Nothing." Legolas said and they all stood.

Lenia looked at Frodo and held up a thumbs up, he looked at her oddly, "raise your voice and tell them." She mouthed. It took him a few moments to understand.

"I'll take the ring!" Frodo said louder and this time the whole council heard, they all turned and looked at him, "I'll take the ring to the fires of Mordor and destroy it." Lenia smiled wickedly and Lord Elrond got the oddest feeling she had something to do with it.

One by one, Legolas, Gimli, Aragorn, Sam, Gandalf, Merry, Pippin and Boromir lended theirselves to Frodo as protection and help. The feelings that filled Lenia were something unexplainable to anyone who couldn't feel them. "Very well." Lord Elrond spoke and even he smiled. Aragorn's eyes focussed on Lenia who went to playing with her sleeved, he knew exactly what she was going to do and he gritted his teeth, as much as he would want her there he didn't dare put Lord Sryton's daughter in such danger. Lord Elrond looked around the room, "Anyone else?" His eyes specifically landed on Lenia who glanced up and around the room, her keen eyes letting her look puzzle the council.

"Yes." She said coolly, stopped fidgetting, walked over and knelt before Frodo, "We both share this burden Frodo, just in different ways and if there is anyway to, I would like to help you with your part. Even if it means jumping into the fires of Mount Doom itself to save you." She locked eyes with him, "You have what I can give, Frodo Baggins of the Shire."

Lord Elrond smiled as his niece turned and stood between Legolas and Aragorn, "Now we are set." He smiled, "Meeting ajurned." With that they all filed out.

"Lenia." Legolas said taking her by the arm.

She blinked, "Yes?"

"What do you think you're doing?"

"....leaving, going into the hall and to my room so I can prepare to leave tomorrow...as you will be doing."

"You know what I mean."

"No I don't."

"You have a son."

"Yes. I'm well aware of that."

"You know the danger you're putting yourself in?"

"Yes."

"You could be killed out there."

Lenia sighed, "Legolas," He still had much to learn about her, "You don't understand. I have to do this."
"You never have to do anything."

"Shows how much you truly know, Prince of Mirkwood."

Legolas raised his eyebrows, why'd she have to be so fisty? "I know quite a lot, Lenia."

"Maybe so, but not this." She sighed, "My peoples fate is tied to that ring, mine, and my sons are aswell. Personally I want to make sure my son lives over 4 years old, if you were a parent I'd think you'd feel the same way. Considering you aren't I thoroughly udnerstand why you don't care, however I do not appreciate you insinuating that I'd go kill myself without caring the effects it would have on my child. I do care but I'd rather risk my life to save him than do nothing and all of us die. Call me a horrible mother if you wish, Prince Greenleaf, but that's how I feel and if you dislike it. Please. Keep it to yourself." With that she ripped her arms from his and walked off down the hall. That wasn't exactly how Legolas had meant what he said, but there was no point in telling her that-she wouldn't listen,

Lenia had spent most of the day with her cousins and her son while Aragorn and the others readied things, it was Lord Elrond's request and she was not in the mood to disobey her Uncle's orders. She glanced over at her window, by the stars she guessed it to be nearly midnight, she sighed she was still packing for tomorrow, they were leaving early and she didn't want to miss anything or have anything hard to find, everything was perfectly organized and the only thing left was to put them in her bag. She yawned as her eyelids fought her attempts to keep them open, it had been weeks since she'd stayed up late while attempting to be coherent. She looked at her arrows and other weapons, some her brothers old ones. The thought of Tripton brought tears to her eyes, during the battle between the Orcs and their company She and him were the last standing. They had seen new found friends fall at their feet but knew they were Aragorn and the Hobbits only chance to get enough spead and be a head of them.

An orc went to attack her and Tripton had thrown one of his largest arrows into it's skin in attempt to deture it, "You!" he yelled at the creature, the last thing he wanted was his babysister being lost to such a foul creature. "Pyl's!" (Don't!) Lenia shouted as the creature began to turn at her elder brother she slammed her sword into it's thigh causing it to slam her to the ground if the force of trying to kill her. Tripton turned, angered by the creature, to defend his sister. The thought of loosing her made anger well inside him, there would be many who would feel the same way if something happened to her. He couldn't let it. He wouldn't. Tripton twirled his sword in his fingers as he ran toward the creature, if there was one thing he'd learned from his cousins and ranger friends it was that you never leave a man or woman in this case, if they were in trouble. "Why don't you pick on someone you're own size." He gripped his sword and the Orc turned toward him. Lenia ripped her sword from the flesh of the creature, "Don't, Tript." She begged, this whole thing was begining to frighten her. 4 wraiths appeared out of no where behind Tripton, fully armed and prepared to strick. "Tripton!" She screamed, horrified as a dagger slammed toward her brother who ducked out of the way. "Get out of here." He shot his eyes towards Lenia, she was more seniored than the others had been however this was the first battle she'd ever been in and he was not going to let it be the last. "No." She said defiantly as she stood, the Orc seemed to have lost interest with her and was ripping appart the already dead. "HEY!" She screamed at the Wraiths who were focused on her brother but they did stop pursuit, "HEY!!" She shrieked once more this time picking of a rock and throwing it at one of them. "LENIA!" Her brother said sharply and turned to look at her, "Don't-" He looked behind her, "Lenia!" He shouted and She turned and dove just as an Orc slammed a sharp blade down where her head would have been. "For the love of the gods, Lenia, would you pay attention to your surroundings if Strider was here he would-" He began as he started to turn around, sword ready for an attack but the Wraiths seemed to have dissapeared. He gripped his sword tightly, something wasn't right. Suddenly he heard four shrills from all angles and turned in time to see four wraiths come upon him. "TRIPTON!" Lenia screamed as she stood and attempted to run and help him but she was too late, her own brother was diced right before her eyes. "No." She murmured, she wanted to cry, she wanted to fall to pieces so bad it hurt but she shook her head and continued the fight. "O ber por si shyl sol" (You just did the wrong thing) She said and readied her weapons. This fight was not over yet.

Lenia swallowed hard at the memory. Tripton had always been there for her no matter what and the one time she could have helped him was the one time she let him die. The look on her brothers face seemed to haunt her, his last words-unfinnished-made her shudder. He had died because of her stupidity. If she had been paying attention so would he. Niether would be dead. She swallowed back a sudden lump in her throat as someone knocked on her door, "Come in." She said as she continued packing.

Aragorn slipped into the room, "Are you done yet?" His tone was teasing.

"Almost." She kept her tone steady, no need for him to worry.

Aragorn walked over and sat on her bed, "Are you sure about this? It's not going to be pleasant, Lenia."

"I've dealt with the unpleasant before."

"It's going to be worse than Tripton." He fell silent wondering if he should have mentioned that name.

Tripton's death flashed through Lenia's mind and she winced as she heard both his and the Wraith's scream, both telling different meanings, one telling her to run the other pure joy of death. She chewed her lip, "I'll deal."

Aragorn scanned her from behind, her truly wasn't sure if this was best for her. She wasn't fully healed, she was mourning, she had a son and she was underexperianced. He feared her reaction to death-before it had been shock, nothing dasterdly, but what would happen next time? Or better yet, if it was a child?

"Something wrong?" She turned and looked at him, "You look like you're in deep thought."

He smiled, "I was." She sat down beside him, "Are you sure about this?"

"Yes, Aragorn."

He scanned her, "If you-"

"ever need to leave you'll make sure someone escorts me here, to Mirkwood, Lothlorien or Nastar." She smiled lightly, "I've heard it before, Aragorn." She sighed, "I'm preparing myself to make connections but be ready for losses-I fear however that preparing will do no good. I will most likely become connected to people and things and when they are loss I will be sad," She saw the worried look in Aragorn's eyes, "but I will move on. Life goes on Aragorn." She thought of Tripton, "Tripton was a warrior, bother you and my cousins worked with him-you know that, if there were two ways to die and he had to choose that would be one of them, dying valiantly in battle. Yes. I do and always will miss him," She admitted, "but, my life will go on. It must. It has to."

Aragorn smiled at her, she was braver than he gave her credit for, "I know, Lenia, I know." He kissed her forehead, "Get some rest." He went to stand and she took his hand.

"Aragorn?"

"Yes?"

"Do you....blame yourself for what happened to Frodo?" Aragorn shifted, he knew the answer he was searching for, "Be truthful."

"In some ways."

"Oh, alright." She stood and walked over to her stuff and placed them on the floor.

He stood, walkig over to the door and turned to her, "It wasn't your fault, Lenia." She turned, "What happened to your brother could have happened to anyone. Besides. He'd rather have died than have you risk your life for him."

"It feels like my fault." She was begining to have a hard time talking.

"I know." He said and exited the room leaving Lenia alone to finnish packing and mourn in peace.

She sat on her bed pulling out a picture of her and her brother, "Namarie." (Fairwell) She murmured as a tear lightly stained the picture.
TADA! That only took me what....3 days to write up? Ugh....lol....

Remember When...?

So the other day, Kyleigh (my bestestest friend since, like, KINDERGARTEN), Emma (My 6-almost-7-year-old cousin), and I had an impromptu funeral for what we thought was a dead frog, because Emma was horrified that it was dead.

Well.
It wasn't a frog.

It was a piece of gum.

But that kind of got me thinking about kindergarten, and how we always got married on the playground (so many times... Like, everyday. Even if the "couple" didn't like each other. Haha), and how we would have little imaginary pets and stuff.

Because, I mean, think about it: We just had a funeral for a piece of gum.

So I go home, thinking about this, and out pops something close to the longest prologue I've ever written (I haven't written many, ha, ha). It's also the only thing I've ever written with little kids in it, told by a little kid. But I think it could have a nice story along with it, with the narrator older.
:)

Anywho, it's a bit rough, seeing as how it kind of came up on a spur, but I think the jist is there:

In the dark of a June night, the Oklahoma heat radiating from the outside into the house, I opened up a small side window, the only window in my room, and spent twenty minutes trying to climb through it.
It wasn’t sneaking out that I was afraid of - Itwas being too late. Back then, child molesters and murderers weren’t something that many people worried about, let alone considered before installing a window in their eight-year-old daughter’s room, facing the backyard.
Lucky for me, my parents were still in the early days of their marriage, and happiness radiated all fear of anything away. The window was all mine, and completely unmonitered; all the better to sneak out of. Not that I really knew this. Before then, I’d never snuck out. But this; this was important. This was something that nothing, not even a very heavy, very tall window, would keep me from.
After painstakingly stacking all of my books one by one onto my Tinkerbell nightstand, I boosted myself through the small opening, not even thinking about my landing until I hit the ground on my back.
I cried for a minute, getting over the shock of the fall, but using the hem of my Thrift-store Barbie nightgown, I wiped my eyes and stood up, being careful to avoid looking at my knees, where they burned. They were most likely scraped up, and that it’s self would cost me another ten minutes of crying before I could continue my adventure.
Night sounds filled my ears, crickets, owls, and locusts all giving my walk a more ominous soundtrack. I crawled through the hole in the fence that Jammer, our old, senile, weenie dog, kept escaping out of. Brushing off my hands and gown, I continued down the sidewalk to the end of the cul-de-sac, into the trees in-between houses 691 and 693. I never understood why they skipped a number.
“I like your dress.” Mickey said shyly. “It’s pretty.”
I smiled at him bashfully, stopping just under the cover of the little wooded area at the end of the neighborhood. “Thank you.”
Mickey grinned momentarily and took my hand. “Come on! We’re gonna be late!”
Dressed in Batman pajama bottoms and matching long-sleeved shirt, he led me through a series of trees before we reached the bank of the creek at the end of the tree-line, where Lyla was waiting for us, her young face solemn, her own pudgy body dressed in a one-peice footed pajama suit with whales on it.
We gathered around a small mound of dirt that had just been dug up and replaced, our hands behind our backs.
“Put your head down, like this.” Mickey whispered, bowing his head in example. We mimed his movement, our eyes on that little mound of dirt.
“Dear God,” Mickey prayed, “Please let Beka go to heaven. We liked her a lot because she didn’t poop on us.”
He paused, and Lyla started. “I’m sorry that Becker bit her up even though he was ‘posta be her brother.”
I watched my tears fall on the dirt. “I loved Beka so much. Please let her sit in your chair for a little bit, God, and finally be able to talk and walk and eat and play games.”
Mickey reached out and held my hand again, while I wiped at my tears with my other fist. “Please tell Beka that we love her, and that she was the best gummy bear we ever met.”
All of us were crying now. It was a time of mourning that only age would ever rob us of. It marked the time of our innocence and complete friendship towards each other.
Beka the red gummy bear, killed by Becker, Lyla’s gummy bear-eating puppy, was dead. As the only pet any one of us had ever been allowed to have, it made since to have a private funeral underneath the biggest tree, by the best spot of the creek, for her.
“Amen,” We said together.

Victory!! Triumph!!

So, some of you may know this, but I've been working on the Christmas Pageant for St. Martha again since, like, August, and it's been killing me slowly and painfully. I wrote a whole other pageant, and even sent it to the lady in charge, but frankly I hated it. So today I got to thinking about whether I really wanted to be killing myself come November when I would have to direct the danged thing, and out popped this! =D

The Christmas Star

Scene One

Music/dance

(Jake and his little sister Maybell enter from Stage Right and walk across the stage. They are bundled up in winter coats, snow boots, etc. and it is obviously cold and snowy. Maybell is carrying a large paper star.)

MAYBELL: (Excited) Did you hear Mrs. Malcolm tell me my star was the best?? I think I liked Sandy's best though, she had more glitter. I wish I’d gotten more glitter! Oh but the pageant is going to be so beautiful decorated with all our stars! It’s going to be the best pageant ever, isn’t it Jake? Jake!

(She stops walking when he doesn’t respond, and he turns back towards her.)

JAKE: (Annoyed) Come on Maybell, Mom’s waiting for us!

MAYBELL: (Looking out over the audience) Look at that star! It’s HUGE! It’s just like the one in the Bible story!

JAKE: Come ON! (Roughly grabs her hand trying to pull her away.)

MAYBELL: (Stubbornly not moving.) Do you think it could be the same one the wise men saw?

JAKE: Those are just stories. There wasn’t actually any star or baby or anything, dummy.

MAYBELL: There was too! (She holds her paper star up, lining it up with the star in the sky.) Look. It matches!

JAKE: (Looks up with fear.) Come on Maybell, lets go...

MAYBELL: (Sucking in her breath) Do you see that? It’s getting bigger! The star’s growing!

JAKE: (Yelling) Come on Maybell, let’s go!! (He yanks her arm down, and they both fall to the ground as the lights suddenly black.)

MAYBELL: (Scared) Why did all the street lights turn off Jake? What’s happening??

JAKE: I don’t know... where’s all the snow gone? We should be soaking!

(Lights come back up)

MAYBELL: (Jumping up) Is it day time already? The suns out! Did I fall asleep Jake?

JAKE: Yes that’s right. We must have just both fallen asleep...

MAYBELL: But why are there palm trees? I don’t think we’re in Connecticut anymore!

JAKE: (Frantically) Of course we are! We must just both be dreaming. If we pinch ourselves we’ll wake up, I know it! (He starts pinching himself. Maybell runs over.)

MAYBELL: Stop it! We can’t both be having the same dream, silly!
(MARY enters)
Hey, why don’t we ask her where we are!

JAKE: (Grabbing for her) Maybell, no!

(Gabriel enters next to Mary, and she drops her basket in surprise. Jake puts a hand over Maybells mouth and they both hide behind some prop.)

GABRIEL: Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you. (Mary kneels). Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, so the holy one to be born will be the Son of God.

MARY: I am the Lords servant, may it be to me as you have said.

(Gabriel exits. Jake and Maybell look at each other with astonishment.)

JAKE and MAYBELL: We’re in Nazareth!

Music

Scene Two

(After Music the children are still hiding on stage, and Mary is also still onstage. Joseph enters and Mary runs to him excitedly.)

JOSEPH: Mary! What’s the matter?

MARY: Joseph, I have had a miraculous vision. The Lord God sent an Angel to me, to tell me that I am going to bear the Son of God! He said that I have found favor with God, and that the Holy Spirit will come upon me so that I am with child! Isn’t it amazing?

JOSEPH: You’re with child?

MARY: Yes, that’s what the Angel said.

JOSEPH: Stop lying Mary! How could you do this? You have betrayed my trust and then lied to me about it?? The least you could have done was tell me out right, instead of making up some fanciful story!
MARY: It’s no story! Please Joseph, you must believe me! The Angel said-

JOSEPH: There was no angel Mary! You’ve sinned; done something I never would have thought you could. There’s nothing more to it.

(He turns to go)

MARY: (Crying) Please Joseph! Listen to me!

JOSEPH: No. Goodbye Mary.

(He exits. Mary looks after him heartbrokenly, then falls to her knees. Maybell comes over sadly and places a hand on Mary's shoulder.

JAKE: (Whispering) Maybell!

MAYBELL: It’ll be all right lady. I know it will.

(Mary smiles at her, then exits.)

JAKE: Come on Maybell, we’ve got to figure out a way to get home!

MAYBELL: No! I don’t want to go home yet, I want to see how it turns out!

JAKE: You know how it turns out already!

MAYBELL: But I want to see it! Don’t you??

JAKE: (Turning away from her) How did we get here?? We could be stuck forever! Maybell, what was the last thing you remember before everything went dark?

MAYBELL: I don’t know. We were looking at that star, I guess.

JAKE: Yes, yes we were! And you held up your paper star and then things got very strange... do you still have it? Your paper star?

MAYBELL: Of course!

(Just now a group of towns people come bustling on, following a Roman Guard, who carries a pole with a sign on it. They talk excitedly.)

GUARD: Quiet! Caesar Augustus has issued a degree that a census shall be taken of the entire Roman world. All men must go to their home town to register. Those who do not will be punished severely. Leave at once, or else.

(He exits, the crowd trailing after him. Maybell goes with the crowd, but Jake doesn’t notice.)

JAKE: (After they’re gone.) Maybell? Maybell!
(He exits, running.)

Music

Scene Three

(Maybell and Jake both enter, Jake dragging Maybell.)

JAKE: Hurry up! We’ve got to try to get home! We’ve already spent a whole day here, and who knows how long it’s been in our world. Mom and Dad must be worried sick.

MAYBELL: I don’t think so. I think they know we’re fine. And don’t you see Jake, we had to come here just because you said the Christmas story wasn’t real! Still think it’s just a story?

JAKE: Okay fine, it’s not a story, but we do need to figure out how to get home!

(Mary enters, kneeling stage right, and Jake and Maybell quickly hide again. Joseph comes running on.)

JOSEPH: Mary!

MARY: Joseph? What are-

JOSEPH: Mary, I’ve had the most amazing dream! An Angel came to me, and told me that the child you bear is from God, and that he has chosen you to bear him! I was so wrong; I never should have doubted you! Can you forgive me Mary?

MARY: Of course!

JOSEPH: (Kneeling) I want to help father the child, and I want to be with you for the rest of my life! Will you marry me?

MARY: Yes. Yes Joseph, I will.
(They hug.)

JOSEPH: But you know, we will have to go to Bethlehem, my hometown, because of the census...

MARY: So be it. At least we’ll be together.

(They exit. Maybell comes skipping out happily, and even Jake is smiling a little awkwardly.)

MAYBELL: Yippee! It’s going to be all right just like I told her! (She stops, then nods her head.) All right Jake, we can go home now.

JAKE: What?!

MAYBELL: We can go home! Don’t you want to?

JAKE: Uh, yes of course, I just thought you...

MAYBELL: You want to stay, don’t you!?

JAKE: No of course not, I mean... here give me your star. I don’t know if this will work, but we have to try it.

(She gives him the star, he holds it up the way they had before, and Maybell takes a step back, eyes wide.)

MAYBELL: It’s so bright! And I’m getting dizzy...

(She falls, and so does Jake. Lights black.)

JAKE: Yes! It worked!

Maybell: Are you sure? Because I don’t feel any snow...

(Lights come back up, to reveal Jake and Maybell center stage, and stage right three wise men sleeping.)

JAKE: Oh no!

MAYBELL: (Getting up) It’s the wise men! They must be on their way to Bethlehem, to see the baby Jesus!

JAKE: How are we ever going to get home now?? They’re waking up! Quick, hide!

(They both hide as the wise men stir.)

MELCHIOR: I suppose we should be on our way again.

GASPER: How much longer do you think, Melchior? We’ve been traveling for weeks and weeks!

BALTHAZAR: Patience Gasper, the star is growing closer, can you not tell?

MELCHIOR: We will arrive at the right time, I’m sure of it.

GASPER: You are right my friends. I’m just anxious to meet this king of kings, as I know we all are.

MELCHIOR: Courage and strength dear comrades, let us be on our way!

Music
(As they get ready to go and file out through the aisle, someone or the children's choir, or perhaps even them could sing We Three Kings.)
MAYBELL: (After they are gone) What majestic kings they are! So wise!

JAKE: (Much more thoughtful then usual.) Yes. Yes they are.

MAYBELL: (Leaning against him.) I’m sleepy Jake. Maybe we can go home now.

JAKE: (Reluctantly) Are you sure?
(Maybell nods.)
JAKE: All right. We’ll try once more. Don’t look, you’ll hurt your eyes!
(He holds the paper star up, and lights black once again. In the dark you hear Maybell sigh.)

MAYBELL: Nope. No snow.

(Lights back up, and a trickle of shepherds with some sheep come on stage.)

MAYBELL: Whoa, who are they?!

JAKE: I think they’re shepherds, Maybell.

MAYBELL: (Goes over to a young shepherd.) Excuse me, are you a shepherd?

SHEPHERD: Of course I am! As was my father before me, and my grandfather, and my great grandfather!

MAYBELL: Wow!

SHEPHERD 2: Where are you from? You’re dressed very strangely!

JAKE: (Coming over) We come from afar, and we don’t know where we are.

SHEPHERD 3: Why, you’re in the hills of Bethlehem of course!

MAYBELL: Bethlehem!

SHEPHERD 1: That’s right. But Bethlehem’s very crowded right now, because of the census. There isn’t any room in the inns you know! Oh, but you can stay with my family if you like! Although we will be out here watching the sheep all night...

MAYBELL: All night?! Don’t you get tired and cold?

SHEPHERD 2: Well yes! But it’s our job, what can we do?

(Suddenly, a whole choir of angels enters, along with Gabriel. They can actually be the children's choir dressed as angels. The Shepherds fall back with fear.)

GABRIEL: Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you; You will find a baby wrapped in clothes and lying in a manger.
Music
(The heavenly choir can sing Hark! The Harold Angels Sing, here, and more songs if you want. They exit. The shepherds look at each other in astonishment.)

MAYBELL: Well, lets go!!

SHEPHERDS: Yeah!!

(They all run down the aisle to the back. Mary and Joseph come onstage, with baby Jesus. More music, if you like. The Shepherds come running up to them, and kneel.)

SHEPHERD 1: We’ve come to see the baby boy, our savior.

JOSEPH: Welcome, friends.

MAYBELL: May I hold him?

MARY: Of course. (She hands Jesus to Maybell. She holds him with awe.)

Music
(The children's choir or someone could sing Silent Night or Away in a Manger here. Or if you have another song that would be good. After music Maybell puts him into the cradle and goes to Jake. The wise men come down.)

MAYBELL: Look Jake, the wise men!

(They come and one by one give their gifts. Then Shepherds start coming forward and laying down small things as gifts. )

MAYBELL: (Sadly) We don’t have a gift for the baby Jesus.

JAKE: Yes we do... we can give him this!

(He takes the paper star, and lays it at the babies feet. Then he kneels.)

JAKE: I’m sorry I didn’t believe before, baby Jesus.

(Maybell comes up besides him.)

MAYBELL: Look Jake, he’s smiling at you.

(She kneels next to him.)

Music

(During the music Jake and Maybell get up, unseen by the audience, and exit. After it is over they come on Stage Left, looking around.)

MAYBELL: How did we...?

JAKE: I guess it was time to come home.

(They look over at the Manger scene stage right, then up at the star.)

MAYBELL: Isn’t it beautiful...

JAKE: Yes. Yes it is.

(He takes her hand and they exit together.)

End Music.

Me Again-This time something ORIG-INAL!

Okay so yeah, it's me, Katie. I felt like posting something ORIGINAL of mine so I went rummaging through some 'old' writing of mine (4 weeks or longer) seeing as I haven't had time to writing my L.O.A. story lately (sadly) but I have had time to plan some details out for it, which of course is helpful like one of the details is, is that, that's a picture of my L.O.A.'s MC Alana's horse-gorgeous huh? But so yeah and I found something I did about 2 or 3 years ago for a writing assignment, it's a clip from a book that I never really wrote but might have been interesting if I picked it up, it's a bit confusing cause I started from a clip from god-only-knows-what-chapter-it-would-have-been. I started this when I was addicted to mysteries and I had just seen the Haunted Mansion with Eddie Murphy-hence the Murphy Mansion. Here Let me narrate as much as possible:

Naration: Emily Matlock is a 17-year-old orphaned juenvile genius she has graduated highschool, been in collage 4 years and has started a 6 to 8 year internship at Mr. Macintyre's, a man like a father to her, law agency as his own personal detective and when needed, a stand in lawyer. They're working on a recent kidnapping and possible murder case of 6 or more kids that also involves a 250 year old murder of a rich family that was never solved. On the job for this 'book' is Brad, Emily's ever faithful (reminds me of a super hero explaination LOL) police officer-undercover-detective boyfriend, Mr. Macintyre, Emily's employer and Emily, the MC.

Here we go:

Emily walked up to the old mansion and climbed it's wooden, creeking stairs. She turned the door nob slowly, her heart pounding at an odd, unusual pace. This was just an investigation, not coming face to face with a possible could-be or would-be killer. The door squeeked as it opened and the floor boards groaned unhappily at a humans long-forgotten weight.

Emily stepped into the estate, the air was thick and moist due to the humid day and the building being boarded up for so long, "Plah, ew, yuck!" She said as she walked into what she hoped was a cob web. She brushed herself off and turned on her flash light. Everything in the mansion was dusty, dirty, full of cobwebs or something else.

Emily walked into the center of the room as a sudden hard wind out of nowhere rattled the boarded windows with the force of a hurricane and caused the front door shut from behind her. She jumped almost out of her skin and stood frozen for a minute before realizing she wasn't breathing. Being in the old Murphy Manor gave her the creeps, but she had a mission nonetheless. She walked towards the ballroom which was 4 flights up on the 2nd to last floor, it took awhile but even with the eerie sounds that flooded her tuned-in ears she proceeded. She passed the ballroom intently and went up one last flight of stairs, these ones oddly enough didn't make a sound. When she reached the top she was in another room that was the length of the large villa. She carefully and almost strategically walked through the old room her mind racing the entire time, searching for answers, for clues, or possibly more questions that needed answers. Her mind wandered as her eyes scanned the room, she wondered what it must have looked like 250 years before. The walls once a beautiful gold were now dusty, dirty, chipping, blood stained, and tarnished. The white tile was now gray, the Chandlire now dusty, old, cracked, falling a part and full of cobwebs. But yet, through all of that the most important things remained perfectly untouched and intact, the evidence.

A sound from behind, a whisper, and a draft that felt like someone breathing on her neck made her whip around and shine her flash light down the darkend hall. "No one," she said to herself, "You're just nervous and uptight. Focus. You need to focus, that's all."

A screech from what sounded like a dying bird came out of no where, her flash light shut off and a horrid smell filled her nose- them smell of something she just could not pin point. The sounds faded but the smell stayed, she felt like someone was watching her closely, very closely-too closely. She stayed put, she didn't dare move, she knew for sure that someone was watching her intently but she didn't know from where. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up on end as the air seemed to thicken and swelter. The eerie silence made her tense and caused her heart to pound to hard she could hear it in her head. Out of the corner of her eye she saw it, a person, a man lurking in the dark with a grin that almost glowed with villainy. She panicked but she knew she had to think fast, she had to run-but she didn't know where. She couldn't go back because he was there. She looked a head, there was her way out. The Balcony. She ran towards the old, wooden french doors and tried to open them, they were bolted. She heard a malious chuckle. He knew. He knew she was trapped just like Mrs. Murphy, the original owner of this building, except there was a difference Emily had no Mr. Murphy, Mrs. Murphy's husband, to try and save her because she had told Brad, her boyfriend, to help her employer, Mr. Macintyre at his office. Even if she had a 'Mr. Murphy' she knew he would probably be killed too, just like the original and the thought of something like that happening to Brad was unbearable. The man came forward holding a gun, she could see he was smirking but nothing else. Emily did what she thought was best, a stupid best, but best she could think of at the moment. Scream. She didn't know if anyone would here her, nor did she know if anyone was was around there but she was going to do it and pray to god that it worked. She didn't dare turn at first, she scream as hard as she could and she swore she could of heard someone running up the stairs but she wasn't sure. She began to turn and next things she new she heard a gun shot, someone scream her name and then she blacked out.

"Emelia, Emily, Em, are you alright? Can you hear me? Emily, Emily," A voice in the distance seemed to call to her. "Em, oh please be alright." The voice said again and gentle lips pressed to her forehead.

The blackness that surrounded Emily slowly started to fade into a white mist, she moaned and slowly opened her eyes as the mist subsided. TRhere was a splitting pain in her right arm and her head hurt too. She turned her eyes to see who had been talking to her, she was excited to see it none other than Brad. "Brad, why are you here?" She said trying to sit up but her hurt too much and the minute she put presure on her right arm seaing pain came to her atttention more than ever so much she almost screamed.

"Careful, Em." Brad said gently forcing her to lay down, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah I-Oh. My. Gosh." SHe said as she looked at her right arm, it was full of blood and Brad was doctoring it.

"You'll be fine," His turqiose eyes melted almost as he looked at her, "thought a doctor needs to take out the bullet." He ran a hand through his hair, "As for me being here, well after I left with Mr. Macintyre I had a feeling something was up, you know a guyt feeling that you were in trouble so I had him bring me here then I say your light from your flash light go off from outside-it was shining through a crack- and I said I was going inside, once in there I heard you scream and a gun shooting, I screamed your name and ran upstairs hoping you were alright and still concious," He kissed her forehead again, "One of my prayers were answered."

"When you got up here was a man already here?" Emily said watching Brad cleaning her arm.

"No," He said thoughtfully, "no one was up here when I came up. I mean obviously someone had to have been up here to fire the gun but they were gone when I came up here and I really wasn't in the state of mind to do a formal investigation with my girlfriend lying unconcious and shot on the floor."

Just then Mr. Macintyre came in, "Emily, are you okay?" He said very concerned.

Emily tried to nod but her head was still pounding too much. Brad who was siting with his legs under him moved Emily up onto his legs so her back was against his knees, he rests her head on his arm while he tries to get a better position to clean her shot wound. "I'm pretty sure she'll be okay." Brad said, he didn't want her to try and speak or anything.

Mr. Macintyre knelt down, "Emily can you see me?" He asked, his voice caring like a father.

"Yes Mr-" She said weakly but Brad cut her off, "Shh, don't it's better you don't talk-trust me I know, I've had enough shot wounds." Brad finnished as he wrapped her arm as best he could with his over shirt. "There no come on let's get you to a dctor. Can you stand?"

"I think so." Emily replied. Brad helped her off his knees then stood up himself. She tried to stamd up but once she stood up too far she collapsed, Brad, thinking fast caught her in his arms just before she hit the floor.

Mr. Macintyer, who was already at the doorway, whipped around, "Emily?"

"I-I'm okay."

"No you're not." Brad said and then swept her into his arms.

"I can walk-"

"You are not walking at the moment as long as you're my girlfriend." He turned, "Mr. Macintyre go to the car, use my cell and call my dad, tell him we'll be right over." Mr. Macintyre nodded and let.

"Brad, I can walk." Emily protested one last time but Brad pretended her handed heard her and walked out the door with Emily still in hs arms

Next Chapter:

Dr. Brian Brewsha took off his plastic gloves and looked at Emily who was sitting on a patients bed with Brad next to her, "Looks like you'll be okay, just keep your arm in that sling and don't get up too much for a week-"

"But, Dr. Brewsha, I have a job to do, the case that we're working on is-"

"We'll take care of that till you feel better. Brad and I will be able to keep ourselves quite in order." Mr. Macintyre said.

"Yeah, Em, don't worry about it, no sweat. I'll do everything you do." Brad said with a smile as both Emily and Mr. Macintyre uttered 'Lord no'

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Emily walked into Mr. Macintyre's office, she didn't care if she was hurt this was her case and there was no way on heaven or earth she was going on leave from it. This was too important.

'So I have a few scratches, my legs are sore, and my arm hurts and is in a sling-does her seriuosly believe that's going to stop me from working on this case, her must be out of his mind. ' She thought as she walked over to Mr. Macintyre's office and knocked on the door.

"Come in." His older, wiser tone rang like a doorbell as Emily turned the doorknob ever so carefully and opened the door while stepping inside the wooden doorway and into a safisticated oficced decorated with pictures and deploma's on the walls. book cases, cabinets, plants, a couch, a love seat, tv (that only excepts certain channels, most being news), a radio and righ the cent sat his desk. He glanced over files, "Emily." He leaned back into his chairs and looked over his glances and act that made him look like Perry Mason, "I thought your orders were to stay at your appartment and rest."

"I did. For a day and a half, I think I'm doing pretty good-don't you?" She pushed her sun glasses onto the top her head as she looked at him. "You can't keep my off this, John, you know you need me."

"I know I do but I'm more concerned about your mental and physical health at the moment."

"You make me sound mentally ill, Mr. Macintyre."

"After your last incounter, Ms. Matlock, I'm surprise your brain functions at all."

"This is my case, Mr. Macintyre."

"You are not working on till a doctor gives you permission, Ms. Matlock, I suggest you go home."

"Mr. Macintyre, the urgency of this case is-"

"Is exstitential. We know. Go home Emily."

"Mr. Macintyre, this is outragious."

"Go, Emily."

"John."

"Now."

"Rrr" Emily turned on her heel and slammed his office door shut behind her, "I'll be darned if he keeps me from this case, a children's lives are at stake." She turned on her heel, stormed past Conard, and Julia and went into her office. She sat down at her desk and opened the folders on her desk reading "Bitterman File", "What the.." Each individual paper had been replaced with another that read 'Go home'. She glared down at the papers and slammed the files on her desk. He was not going to win. She stood and left the building fuming. There had to be something she could do without his approval.

The weather in California was extremely hot that day and she was nearly sweating to death as she walked back towards her appartment. She glanced at a bilboard it read, '105 degrees' and she turned before she could see the humidity inclination.

'I would have given you all of my heart
but there's someone who's torn it apart
and she's taking almost all that I've got
but if you want, I'll try to love again
baby I'll try to love again but I know

The first cut is the deepest, baby I know
The first cut is the deepest
'cause when it comes to being lucky she's cursed
when it comes to lovin' me she's worst
but when it comes to being loved she's first
that's how I know

The first cut is the deepest, baby I know
The first cut is the deepest

I still want you by my side
just to help me dry the tears that I've cried
cause I'm sure gonna give you a try
and if you want, I'll try to love again
but baby, I'll try to love again, but I know

The first cut is the deepest, baby I know
The first cut is the deepest

'Cause when it comes to being lucky she's cursed
when it comes to lovin' me she's worst
but when it comes to being loved she's first
that's how I know

The first cut is the deepest, baby I know
The first cut is the deepest '

"Yeah I hear you." She said as her cellphone went off. She unhooked her bluetooth and hooked it to her ear, "Hello, Emily Matlock speaking."

"Is she free for lunch?" Brad's voice said.

"Ooo it sounds tempting but I'm trying to be steaming mad at John."

"Am I melting that?"

"More than you know."

Brad chuckled, "What are you mad about?"

"He won't let me work."

"Emily, we decided you would wait till you're better."

"I'm feeling fine."

"You know what I mean."

Emily sighed, "I know."

"Where are you?"

"I don't know, some side walk."

"That's comforting."

Emily rolled her eyes, "Some side walk 2 blocks from my house."

"Want me to meet you?"

"Are you determind to have lunch with me?"

"Well, it's slow here at the presinct so they're giving us all an hour and a half lunches on call and it doesn't seem to be getting any quicker and unless something happens I'm going to have an hour and a half lunch so...why not spend it with the most beautiful woman in the world."

"Okay, Brad, now you're just kissing up."

"It work?"

"Sadly, yes."

He smiled, "Good, I'll leave in five minutes."

"Why not now, Mr. Hasty, I thought you were dying to see me."

"Well I just don't want to run out of here like a bat out of heck."

"What would the sheriff or chief do, take your badge?"

"You'd be surprised."

"Brad!"

"Okay not really but they'd be fuming."

"You are such a dork, Brad, you know that?"

"Only cause you happen to the world's smartest 17-year-old."

"Are you trying to flatter me?"

"It working?"

"Maybe"

"Then maybe I am."

"You getting enough oxegyn in that building, Brad?"

Brad laughed, "Of course, Em, I just happen to be in a good mood."

"Why?"

"For once I know your life isn't in danger."

"I can see where that'd be comforting." She said rumaging through her pocket book for her keys, "Still no reason to kiss up."

"I'm aloud to do that."

"Yeah you are, it's just not normal." She put her hand on the handle and went to put her key in the hole but the door opened, "Odd..."

"What," Brad paused, "what's odd-Emily,what's odd?"

"Relax, Brad, I just forgot to lock the door."

"You always lock the door."

"I was more focused on getting my case back."

"Emily, I'm saying this as your boyfriend and a police officer don't ever do that again."

"I won't." She said shutting the door behind her and walking up the stairs to her appartment. "I promise."

"You better." His tone was teasing.

"Are you teasing-" Her voice stopped as she stood in her open doorway.

"Emily....Emily....Em what's wrong?"

"Brad, get down here and get bring some detectives, now."

"Why?"

"Someone broke into my appartment while I was gone."

"You stay there, Em, we'll be there in almost 2 seconds-if you hear anything get out."

"I know the drill, Brad."

"I love you."

"I love you too." She said and they both hung up. She stood in her doorway looking at the mess her appartment was in everything was thrown, tossed or turned every which way all over the room. She gently edged her way into the room, careful not to touch anything while making her way to the coffee table, laying ontop of all the other papers was a paper filled out with newspaper letters with the kidnappees' names and the letter signed in blood. She swallowed hard at the enscripitiur;

'I have the leverage, I have the kids.

You have 48 hours to give me 45 million dollors or the kids die. You have 48 hours to stop trying finding me and to do this, without it Jacelyn, Jonie, Seth, Andrew, Layla and Zach die.

And given the chance, so will you. I'll contact you.

With the wild goose chase you're doing you're losing valuable time, Matlock.

You're time is running out, the clock is ticking

....tick...tock...tick...tock...

Will you win? I think not.

Tick...tock...Tick...tock....

Anonomyous. '

Emily swallowed hard on her suddenly dry throat. 48 hours for 45 million dollars was not a lot of time, nor was it enough time for her to wait till she was better, childrens lives were at stake and there was one thing left to do; Live and Breath this case. He or She was not going to have the leverage if she had anything to do with it.

OK i feel kinda dumb for posting twice in a row butttt

I went on a writing spree today, i wrote chapter 4 and 5 and have a plot for 6, I'm just missing 3 and then I'll have them in order sooo i figured I'd post the first chapter of my story, keep in mind that i wrote it in 15 minutes, i haven't edited it so its a rough draft, and i failed grammer. :D lol well i passed..but just barely. Oh & Mrs. Pumpernickels name is likely to change, i just needed something quick and it was the first thing that came to mind..dont ask me how.

Chapter 1: The Funeral
By: Jessica Lacourse

"What a shame.." A woman wearing a dress that was a way too bright shade of purple said to a man who was obviously uncomfortable in a tux, "He was such a lovely man.." She held her champagne glass tightly as she tried to stifle the tears, the man who looked uninterested in his surroundings muttered a "Mmm.. Shame, please excuse me." And walked off leaving the woman there dotting her eyes.
A small child walked up to the casket of her grandfather whom she had admired greatly, a sullen look in her eyes as she stared down at the face of the man who once filled her life with happiness. "Kammy dear." The woman in the purple suit walked over to her. "I'm so sorry about your grandfather.." She said, eyes filled to the brim with tears. "Its okay, Mrs. Pumpernickel," Kamryn said, not able to tear her eyes away from the peaceful look of her grandfathers face, "Mommy said he's in heaven now. Besides as long as he's in our hearts, he's never gone." She had heard her grandfather say that many times about his now passed wife, Kamryn didn't remember much about her, only that she always smiled, something she passed down to her granddaughter. Her grandfather always said that she and her grandmother could light up the room with just a shimmer of their smile.
"Oh you dear dear girl!" Mrs. Pumpernickel cryed out, throwing her arms around Kamryn, "Your wise beyond your 7 years!" Kamryn shyly patted her on her back trying not to be rude and fight back the urge to tell her she is six and would prefer if she would get off of her.
Finally Mrs. Pumpernickel left crying the intire time talking about the wonderful innocence of children in between sobs. Kamryn still was glazing at her grandfather, looking so handsome yet so unknown to her. Her grandfather would never wear a suit, he much preferred his holy shirts and pants and whenever anyone said anything he would just say "I'm holey, and i like it." Such a bad joke, but Kamryn laughed every time..
She felt an arm on her shoulder and turned to see her father standing there, his eyes red and a bit puffy. "Its almost time for the ceremony Kamryn, mommy would prefer you sat with her and the girls." He said quietly, he knew how much John meant to her and how hard this must be.
Kamryn looked over to the back row where her mother sat with her twin sisters and new brother or sister in her tummy. "OK daddy.." She said, turning her focus back to her grandfather. "Well.. you have a few more minutes if you would like to stay." He said, he couldn't pull her away just yet, he just didn't have the heart. "Yes daddy i would." Kamryn said, then politely refused his asking if she would like him to stay with her, she loved her daddy, but this was her grandfathers day.
A few minutes past when the guy who had been talking to Mrs. Pumpernickel came up, he was a squirrely man, a bit twitchy and unnerved he kneeled right next to Kamryn and for some reason felt the need to talk. "Funerals creep me out." He said, Kamryn turned her head and looked at him, "I'm sorry." she said, she didn't say 'Then why are you here.' but she really wanted to. "Yeah yeah, aw well at least the buggers gone, he was always a pain in the butt." He yanked his tie muttering about how it was choking him then walked off.
She once again and for the last time looked at her grandfather, she shrugged off the mans words almost cursing him for talking ill of her grandfather, especially when today was his day, but she knew what her grandfather would say, "Aw now Kam, ignore the mans words. Men cant be held responsible for they're words, that's why you need a good lawyer." Then he would turn and wink at her and she would laugh, she was always laughing around her grandfather.
Then said a final "Goodbye." then a single tear fell from her eye right into the coffin and she walked over to where her mother sat and watched the funeral go bye.

*winces* okay i'm just gonna post it......now! wait..no...ok...just don't be harsh please lol

Hello, Bonjour, Hola and all that :)

Ok so i'm Jessie, i think all of you know me but i'm not toatally sure so i figured i'd start off with that.
Although technically i started with Katherine telling me step by step how to log on here which is sad since i have 2 blogs lol but now i am here.

Ok so to stay on topic, i do have a story i'm working on currently but i have this thing where i always tell everything about my story and show everyone all of the chapters i write then i lose interest in it for some reason so i'll post my first chapter after i get to chapter five, but i will tell you a bit about my story *Takes deep breath*

Ok so the current title is Kamryns World, it might be changed though, and its sort of a remake of a story i made a while ago that had no plot and very little charector development so i decided to remake it and i had all new ideas etc etc

Kamryn is the eldest of (what is going to be) 11 sisters, right now i'm in chapter 3 and she's 10, its going to skip a few years in the next two chapters or so and her grandfather died whom she was very very close with and her dad who she was also close to left her mother and their 4 daughters (Kamryns mom gets re-married and has like 6 more girls, i'm big on the whole sister thing, i dont know why) and they inherit her grandfathers huge mansion.

Well her grandfather was VERY into puzzles and Kamryn descovers part of the house that she's next seen before like hidden rooms and etc etc but you need to do puzzles to get into those rooms and then she starts finding clues that her grandfather left her about who he thinks might have killed him in old stories he would tell her and in the puzzles.

Its just a rough draft and alot of things are subjected to change, i've never actually written a mystery before either so it might turn into something else, its just all in jumbles now, it was a spur of the moment story and this probably isn't a very good discription but i felt the need to post tonight soooooooooo ta ta for now (and maybe i'll post the first chapter later..maybe lol)

El No Posto!

IT'S BEEN TOO LONG SINCE I'VE POSTED.

...This site cannot die. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!
:D

Haha.
Good.
So POST. :)

Anywho, I've been psyched about writing for a while, but couldn't pound it out for some reason - ask Anna, she knows I even found an amazing plot I loved, but I couldn't do it! At all!!
Sigh. It was horrible. HORRIBLE.

So today, I was once again cheating by looking in the NaNo forums.
And then, it occurs to me, "I'm cheating by looking in the NaNo for-.... HEY. CHEATING."
...Which leads me to a whole plot idea, currently entitled (ha, ha, wait for it...)
CHEATING'S FOR ANGELS.

Pre-Summary:
It's about this girl who works for the devil. She never chose to, nor does she want to, but because of something I (a) haven't thought of yet and (b) was important to her and (c) will be exposed closer to the end, she has to. She's twelve at the time of her damnation (though she informs him that she doesn't like the "D word", so it's actually "condemnation"), and he lets her do the easy stuff --- Try to get others to sin.
Well, five years go by, and the devil has slowly advanced her line of work to "heavier" sins, which involve a whole lot of fighting, accidental killings, and other such things, when he tells her that it's the time of do-or-die: She's got to kill Earth-bound angels, sent to Earth to help people out and do pretty much the opposing job that she has.
They, he tells her, are her enemies.
So she tries to kill one, and, to Satan's delight, succeeds, only because Simeon, another devilish-minion who's blinded by the devil's "illusions" about his life, cuts in to get the credit, which incidentally still ends up going to the girl (no name yet, sigh. I don't know what it's going to be, yet. Jezebel is a major possiblity, ha, ha.).
Simeon protests, and once again, the girl is sent out to kill an angel while Simeon is doing everything possible to make her fail.
This time, when she's out trying to find the angel, she accidentally meets him and starts to get to know him. When she finds out who he is, she tries to seperate herself and kill him, but can't, because she's reminded too much of her innocent self; the better person in her.

((((By the way, Luca = Lucifer in human form, the only way he can appear to people (explained later... Maybe. I hope?). He's gorgeous, and perfect in every way and form. He likes this form because it causes people to lust, which to his giddy joy, is a sin.))))

...Hence:

“You know what to do, so get out there and do it. No disappointments this time.”
I looked him straight in the face, right into his disgruntlingly blue eyes, and knew that I was going to have to die for the simple sin I was about to commit, if breaking a promise to the Devil himself was a transgression. The stupid logic surrounding my whole life was astounding, since most of it seemed to be teeming with double negatives.
But then again, when you work for one of two most popular places to retire to after you’re done with life...
“Luca,” I said, mentally reminding myself that the pretty-boy in front of me had every single person, including Victoria Beckham, beat in the vain, selfish, and potentially vicious categories, “you know I can do this. It’s been five years since I’ve had an accident – it was bound to happen.”
He frowned, his perfect forehead drawn down and his flawless eyebrows knitted together.
“Now see, that’s what I’m not sure about. You sit here and tell me that you can do something, and then I send you out there and you fail miserably, which, as you pointed out yourself, is the first time in five faultless years. There was nothing that said it was ‘bound to happen’, either.”
I sighed. He was always this petulant about things that shouldn’t even concern him, but this time, I was almost afraid he would look too deep into the matter. “I’m only human, Luca.”
He smirked. “I’m sure that’s how you wish it was, but I’m afraid you’re no ordinary human; you work for me, against all odds. You do my dirty work, plain and simple. Not many, including those who adore and worship anything they think I’m capable of, can do the many things you can.”
He grabbed my wrist and I winced, more in disgust than horror.
“You, my dear, are going to take six days on easy work. You’re going to keep an eye on some of the people Simeon can’t get to at the moment, and after those sixth days,” his voice grew menacing, and I could feel his cold breath against my neck, “you will try, once again, to kill him.”
He let go, and I fell backwards onto the sand.
“You’re mine,” he reminded me, “and though you have free will, I control every aspect of your life. You’re much better off than Simeon, who is paranoid in anger towards everyone because I make them look feirce, but if I must pull any illusions on you- reign you in tighter on your chain- I will.”
I fought back against the chills that exploded across my skin. “I know, and I haven’t failed yet.” I said, trying to sound strong and determined, but probably came across as weak and petrified. “I’ll kill him without looking back. I’ll prove you wrong yet.”
Lucifer laughed loudly, the thunderous roars rebounding off of the faraway mountains, resounding in my ears.
“Condemnment isn’t fun now, is it, darling?” he said in his Luca voice, and then prompty turned around on his heel and started walking away.
I laid back down in the Nevada sand, rocks digging painfully into my back and closed my eyes.
