Happy New Year everyone (although I am sure that it is nearing the second day of January '010 as I write this up)!
I hope that you all had a very good New Years Eve/Day despite this unpredictable weather (on New England, anyway). I know that I did, despite the weather and a building homework load. Did you do anything really fun or just kick back and relax?
Any writing/literature-related New Year's resolutions? I'm not someone who has really ever been into resolutions, it all just seemed so mundane. However, I still could be a goal setter! I mean, the goal would always come mid-year but, still, it counts for something. This year, though, a novel revision by September is my goal - my so called "resolution. I want to have a first revision done by then, which probably means insanity and choking on my own oxygen to survive...what we writers do for our works of art. >< My second is to read more - lots more - I have a shelf of books (mine and ones friends have lent me) that must be read before anything else. And since I just found a new series I love... it's slowly killing me. O.o The good part is that I get to sink my teeth into Pride and Prejudice for the first time. I'm hoping that it's well-worth the wait to get it from my cousin!
Stay warm and dry!
Love,
The Writing Rants Elf.
