Hi! I know this is like my second post in like the past what-two days? but I've been on a writing spree!Wheeeeeeeee!*coughs* ahem. Anyway. So now you've seen the after math of the LOTR's(lord of the Rings) and know that Lenia is dying. But how about I show you a "happier" time-say when Legolas and Lenia meet. I might post 2 chapters instead of one seeing they aren't long in any sense. I have the 3rd and 4th chapters going as well so those'll be on here soon as well as more of the post-LOTR's one. I do not think this is my best word but.....anywho tada!
Chapter one: Woodland Trespasser
By: Katie
The wind blew hard through the woods of Mirkwood. it ruffled the leaves on the ground as a stranger stumbled tiredly and painfully into the wood.
The stranger was a young woman around 17 years of age. She was wearing a tattered and torn long sleeved v-neck shirt, a shorter than knee length skirt, jeans, and a hooded cloak. On her back in a case lay battered bows and arrows, on her hips lay an utility belt which held weapons of all shapes and sizes(all of which had obviously been used recently). All together she looked beaten and worn as she stumbled a long unsteady and weak. "Dear kalina en' Eldar sut have amin come sina far-how amin survive iire ikotane nir'?" (Dear light of Eldar how have I come this far-how did I survive when so many were lost?) She murmured in her native tongue under her breath to the stars which were now blocked by the shining sun. Dizziness and nausea was starting to take her over.
There was a ruffling of bushes around her and whispers-she had known the whole time she was not alone but now it was evident. Before she knew it her bow and arrow case was being ripped from her back and her utility belt from her waist. She was grabbed hard on the arms as 30 or so arrows were pointed at her face. The force of the grab made her collapse but the figure yanked her up to her feet.
At this point she was slowly loosing conciousness. "You are tresspassing on royal land." was all the man holding her said before they started heading back to the city not caring about her well being.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To the nearly unconcious girl it seemed like hours before they reached a city. She was shoved hard into the middle of a semi-circle, expected to stand, but her strength had dissapeared due to the amount of walking she'd done. She collapsed to the ground with a hard thud. Before she hit the ground face first she saw a glimpse of a castle and what looked to be it's prince.
"What's this?" Legolas said walking down the steps of the castle.
"We found her in the woods, armed." The head guard said throwing her bow and arrow case as well as her utility belt beside her.
The girl winced at the hard voice and the sound of the case and belt hitting the ground. Legolas walked over to her and survayed her with his eyes. He paid close attention watching her as she lay there almost lifeless. His eyes ran down her tattered and torn clothing smeared with blood and dirt when he noticed a large deep gash on her leg and yet another on her forehead and matching ones on her arms, "She's injured." He said, "put down your weapons." He commanded and reluctantly they did so. Legolas knelt beside the girl, "Can you stand?"
"Yes." She said her voice tired as she braced herself to stand. The world around her was spinning once she stood.
"I'm going to take you inside." Legolas told her as he stood up.
The girl nodded placing her hand on her forehead feeling dizzy. She attempted to follow Legolas but blackness over took her and she fell towards the ground. Legolas turned quickly and swept her instinctively into his arms.
Chapter 2: Late Night Conversations
It was dark by the time the girl 'reawoke'. She opened her eyes to see she was sleeping in what looked to be a royal chamber with moon light streaming in through the windows and sky light.
She sat up in the bed she was lying in. As she did so she noticed her shirt was gone and her bosom and most of her lower torso was wrapped in green bandage. Her jeans were gone along with her shoes but her skirt was still in place. She turned to move from the bed but a soothing voice stopped her.
"Lay down, you need your rest whether awake or asleep when you do so." The voice came from the corner and drew closer. Out of the shadows appeared the tall sleep figure of Legolas as he carried a large tray over to an already set up side table.
"ka amin?" (where am I?) the words barely escaped her mouth as she spoke in her native tongue. She was still quite tired and had a horrid head ache. Her throat was parched and she was still very weak and disoriented.
Legolas smiled lightly at her while wringing out a wet cloth to make it just nearly damp. He walked over to her lying her down, moving her long flowing jet black hair behind her pointed ears, and placing the cloth on her forehead's wound. "Mirkwood, you're in the palace in the land of Mirkwood." Legolas' soothing voice said.
The girl closed her eyes, her eyelids felt quite heavy. The wash cloth was cool against her skin, water lightly dripped into her large wound on her forehead. It hurt a lot but she didn't wince, infact she was so tired and weak she could barely move. She finally moved her arm to rub her neck it wasn't till then did she realize her temperture was rising. "Who are you?" She said more than asked, though her voice was no more than a whisper she spoke this time in english.
"Legolas Greenleaf, Prince of Mirkwood." He replied.
The girl whipped off the damp cloth and stood immediately to bow, "My Lord." She began as she was being over come by signs of sickness and injuries.
Legolas laid her back down on the bed, "You have n'uma need a'cu a' amin my mela."(You have no need to bow to me, my dear.) He replied as he took the damp cloth and put it back on her forehead. "Your temperture is rising-you need to keep that wash cloth on your forehead and stay lying down."
The girl nodded as best she could in reply. She watched as Legolas tended to her injuries that weren't already tended to.
"If you don't have the strength and don't mind me asking, what's your name?" He inquired.
Her mind was foggy but she fought to keep concious. "Lenia," She started as her conciousness threatened to fade, "Lenia Tigers-Eye." She replied quietly while closing her eyes.
Legolas stroked her head, the last name sounded odd Tigers-Eye, but he ignored it as he got a glass of water and forced her to drink some of it. "Welcome to Mirkwood, Lenia." He murmured reaching down to grab the blankets, "rest." He whispered to her as he covered her with the blankets and walked out shutting the door. Lenina lost conciousness soon there after....
