Long Time No Posting!

Hi!(I just figured out I can put a picture on here so I was like YAY! sorry about the pic of Leggy-o)
I'm posting again!(it's been awhile since I've done that huh?)...anyway, you do not know what I went through trying to decide what to post-lucky I got some help. Then I had to decide which Lord of the Ring Fanfiction to pick!(very difficult) course....the other one will come too in time.
This Fan Fiction takes place after the ring has been destroyed and Aragorn has ben crowned King(w00t). The Charactor(for all who haven't read the books and such) Lenia-I made up and everything about her, her father, home, etc... a short cut on her back ground at the time of the meeting of the fellow ship she was 17, she was a ranger(she became one around 15 due to a fall through with an arranged marriage), She got terribly injured in battle and ended up in Mirkwood and being taken care of by Legolas and when he went to Lord Elrond's council she went with him-from there she went with the Fellowship out on their journey(when I post the other story all will fall into place) WARNINGS: THIS IS NOT EDITED, 2nd there is mild romance(kissing on the forehead, a light kiss on the lips.) but nothing bad, 3rd there is Elvish in here but I put the translation beside it.
Disclaimer: I don't not own the Lord of the Rings canon-J.R.R. Tolkien does and I am just using them for pleasure-not for publication.

Chapter 1: A Shadow of the Past
By: Katie LaGassie

The crystalline ball by Legolas' bed glowed suddenly, gently casting a glow over the moonlight bedroom. Legolas merely opened his tired eyes, the crystalline ball hadn't shown so bright in ages.
"Legolas. Legolas?" An all too familiar male elven voice resinated from the ball.
Legolas got up and walked swiftly over to the glowing ball, this eyes still slightly tired. "Lord Elrond," he said the name of the man whom he hadn't seen since Aragorn was crowned King, "what bids you to contact me at this time of the day." he he lightly pressed his eyelids by his nose to wake them up.
"It's Lenia." The grave tone of Elrond's voice sent panic through the young prince as his eyes snapped open-no longer tired.
The though of the young elven princess/ranger on their last meeting flooded his mind.

The reception was wonderful and oddly enough Legolas had to admit the crown fit Aragorn well. Legolas scanned the crowd sighing, soon most of the elves in the recpetion would be heading to the Undying Lands, to Valinor.
"Legolas." An elegent musical female voice spoke from behind him.
Legolas turned and smiled at her, she had obviously cleaned up for Aragorns coronation. The long sleeved light blue and white v-necked chinese dressed reflecked the colors within her eyes so did the long navy blue cloak she had on aswell. Her hair spilled over her shoulders gracefully. "Lenia." He smiled again staring into her crystelien light blue eyes and then leaned over and kissed her brightly colored lips. Instead of her falling into his grap like usual she barely responded. Legolas pulled back quickly to look at her. "Keh mani naa ta amin mela?" (What is it my love) He spoke in his native tongue.
Lenia's crystalline eyes cloud with emotion at the sound of love in his voice. "We need to talk my one." Though being now only 18 and one of the younger elves Legolas had noticed she spoke and sounded(in her own right) remarkably like her uncle, Lord Elrond.
"What is wrong?" Legolas caressed her pale freckled cheek with his fingers in order to stare into her eyes which she now was trying to avoid.
"Come." She set the golbet of elven wine she carried on a table and took his hand leading him into an unused room. She held his hand tight, almost like a life line, as she turned to face him. She took a ragged breath before looking at him.
Legolas held her hand and pulled her to him and placing a lingering kiss on her forehead. "What's troubling you, love?"
Lenia sighed and looked down, tears welled within her eyes, "My family," She started and then trembled as she felt Legolas's hand rub her arm to comfort her, "They want me to take a ship to Valinor with them-they want me to sail to the Undying Lands."
Legolas' heart stopped, "But?" He managed to ask, knowing she was not through.
"I don't want to leave-I'd be leave Aragorn, Arwen and all of them behind...and you." Her hand slid out of his and to her side.
Sorrow flowed over Legolas as he thought of never seeing Lenia again, but the he thought of the pain she'd have in her heart forever at the loss of her kin. He sighed to himself before responding, "Go."
Lenia looked up at him, "Mani?" (What?)
"Go with your kin to the Undying Lands, live in the peace there-you'll be happy." Some where deep inside he knew otherwise but he had to hope for the best.
Tears pooled over Lenia's dark eye lashes, "Mani?(what) Why are you saying this? I-I thought you'd want me to stay." Her whole body tremored.
Legolas straightened up showing no emtion, if he wasn't forceful he knew Lenia was going to make a mistake, "You need to be with your family-where it's safe. You don't belong here with me. Do as your parents wish you to."
Pain struck Lenia's hear hard, "You don't want me to stay?"
Legolas looked into her pained, heart broken eyes while trying not to hug her and comfort her like he wished to."No, I don't." He said slowly to convince himself.
That was all it took, he felt Lenia go limp beneath him, tears escaping her eyes like water falls. The sound of her tears tore at his heart but he stayed in composure while lightly rubbing her back. She tore quickly from his grap, her eyes were bloodshot though tears were streaming from them still.
"Meleth."(love) Legolas said gently while attempting to wipe her tears.
She whipped her head away, "n'uma." (no) She murmured at his touch. "I don't want to talk to you-not now, not ever." She walked quickly to the door before turning to into his eyes. Her stare broke his heart, "Namaarie, utinu en lokirim." (Farewell, son of snakes.) Legolas winced at the insult but did not take it to heart. She didn't mean it she was just mad at him and upset-she'd get over it...someday. Lenia turned on her heel tears still streaming down her cheek as she slammed the door. The sound of the door slamming echoed threw the Castle.
Aragorn turned to watch the young elf storm crying from the castle-as did everyone else. Arwen looked concerned from where her cousin had been over to her beloved. Voices started to whisper about why the elven princess of Nastar had left so distrot.
"Excuse me my friends, I have some buisness that needs some tending to." Aragorn said as he got up swiftly. The look in his beloved's eyes told him she was just as worried as he was.
"Nin melda." (my dear) Aragorn said as he came upon the young sorrowful elf maiden whom had become like a sister to him over the years. A sob escaped Lenia and shook her. Aragorn reted his hand on her shoulder squeezing it in a caring way, "Mani marte?"(what happened)
Lenia sunk to the grass covered ground, "Ro hyarya amin." (he left me) Tears fell harder from her crystalline eyes as the realization of thoughs words sunk in.
Aragorn instinctively sat beside her wrapping his arms around her. "Huch, my dear." He craddled the elf maiden like he had when she was young. He had not seen the young woman so distrot except for once when some boy in her "school" had been mean to her when she was a little girl. As well as a time when he was preparing her for her years as a ranger. She had messed up horribly and though he had attempted to ease her nothing could and she went into being in a deep solitude as she tried desprately to do it right. When she did though he'd never seen her brighter.Accept with Legolas. The last time he could think up was about 3 years ago when she had been forcefully married. When she had begun to love him and trust him deeply he left her like she was nothing, for some one else. It broke her heart. "Nessa Elen-sar."(Lenia Kin-dal) He spoke gently as he used the elven name some had given her as a child. "Amin caela uuma sinta Legolas a' uma ai'nat' a' awra ai'er- ellar nurta caela saian la reason ten' ho a' kel, nin melda." (I have never known Legolas to do anything to hurt anyone-there must have been a reason for him to leave, my dear) Aragorn said as soothingly as possible while he stroked her jet black hair.
Yet another hard sob shock her small body, she was not as tall as the toher elves she was no taller than 5'4" or 5'5" which compared to most elves was small. "I told him I didn't want to go to Valinor-I want to stay with him. When I did he told me he didn't want me to stay." Her breathing was hard and she could barely speak.
Anger boiled deep inside Aragorn, he didn't like seeing Lenia in such a state but more so he didn't know why Legolas would say such a thing to the girl Aragorn thought he had loved.

The image slowly faded from Legolas as yet another interjected-her departure.
All the friends stood awaiting the sign of departure. Lenia hugged Aragorn, the hobbits(except Frodo), Arwen, Gimli, and then she came to Legolas. She hesitated before lightly lifting her hand in an elven gesture. Her heart panged with the want to hug him but she couldn't, she knew he wouldn't want it and her heart couldn't take anymroe pain.
Legolas looked into Lenia's eyes her heart was easy to see from there-it was shattered. He felt suddenly small as he lightly nodded and returned the gesture. He hated hurting her so much but he knew it would be for the best.
Tears welled within Lenia's eyes and she turned and walked away from her friends and over to the ship and watched as everyone else said goodbye. She struggled hard to keep her composure and not to breack down crying. She was soon surrounded by the rest of the travelers to Valinor. They all raised their hands in silent farwell as they climbed upon the ship and set sail to the Undying Lands.
As the lands that were too familiar to her faded out of sight unushed tears streamed from her eyes and down her cheeks.
A masculine hand laid on her shoulder she looked up to see her father, Lord Sryston of Nastar. Lord Sryton sat down quickly by her side his silken robes cushioning the fall from such a height, "My precious child." He said cupping her face with his long slender hands. Concern swept over him at the sight of his daughters tears. "What troubles, thee?" He scanned her face with golden eyes sparkling with love for his only child.
Lenia closed her eyes as tears flow over the black lashes of her eyes, "Tis nothing father." She spoke as loudly as she could. "Tis nothing." She mumured.
Lord Sryton slipped his arms around his daughter and stroked her head but remained silent.
Lenia opened her eyes one more time to see the fading land, "Namaarie."(Farwell) She murmured before closing her eyes to contine her sobbing.

"Legolas." Elrond's voice broke Legolas from his memories. Apparently he had been talking while Legolas had been in his memory. Legolas looked back at Lord Elrond to show he had his full attention. "Legolas...she's dying."
Panic once again struck Legolas, "How, why?" he wanted answers and he wanted them now.
Elrond sighed lightly he had known the prince had not been listening, "She has fallen into a deep depression, she refused to eat, drink, or sleep. Though recently she been passing out and her strength has gotten low, her eyes no longer glow, life is draining from her, Legolas. We are desperate to find a way to make her happy, nothing has worked."
"How can I help?' Legolas said quickly without even thinking.
"We need you to come to Valinor, we think it may cheer he up to see you...hopefully." Elrond was not so sure whether or not it would help especially since neither were talking to eacother.
Legolas shifted unsure, "Are you sure, Lord Elrond?"
"We'll try anything, Legolas." Elrond prayed to the heavens Legolas would say yes to coming.
Legolas lightly bit his tongue not sure if Lenia would truly want him there-but he had to help. "I'll be there as soon as possible."
Elrond smiled at him and nodded before he faded and the ball went to resting as a dark navy blue color again. Legolas turned from the crystalline ball and started packing he did not want to waste anytime at all.
"Legolas?" Aragorn walked into his friends room. He had awoken at the sound of voices from Legolas' room. "Where are you going?"
"Lenia." Was his only response as he covered the crystalline ball with a piece of silken material.
"What's wrong with her?" Aragorn asked concerned as he moved closer to his friend.
Legolas turned to look at his friend after he sighed to himself, "She's dying." at those words Legolas' insides squirmed Lenia's dying
Aragorn swallowed hard, Lenia was much like a sister to him and the though of her dying-even though he had not seen her in 3 or 4 years-hurt. "Dying?"
Legolas nodded as pain struck his heart; she couldn't die. He had spent the past several years praying to the heavens she was happying, imagining a happy smile on her face as she sat by a stream watching the fish and smelling flowers. Apparently his hopes and dreams for her had fallen to pieces long ago. "Lord Elrond hopes that by seeing me it might help her-though I believe you'd help more."
Aragorn had to admit he was not sure how much Legolas would help, he infact could have the adverse effect of what they wanted. Though he had to admit again he could do the same thing himself-though for seperate reasons. If Legolas went and Lenia did get better because of it and fell back in love she'd be crushed when he left again. Course Aragorn himseld and Lenia were not lovers but a long time ago they had become as close as siblings. If Aragorn were to go, there would we sure happiness but also extreme sadness-when he left-for both of them. "Perhaps," he started as he tried to find a positive outlook on the situation, "perhaps you two will get to talk about things that have been left unsaid. You never know-maybe this meeting will bring you two at least back up to being friends once more."
"That would be nice, considering we're not even there now." Legolas said, he truthfully would be happy to be at least friends with Lenia once again. It had hurt him when Lenia had left without a word so mad and upset all thoughs years before. He thrusted his bag onto his back while grabbing his bow and arrow set. "Think, I'll need it?" He asked as he turned to look at Aragorn.
Aragorn shrugged raking a hand threw his hair, he knew if he himself was in Legolas' position and it was Arwen he would be just as-how we shall say-scattered brained? But this wasn't Arwen-this was Lenia. The girl Legolas had convinced against her will to sail to Valinor with her family where she was supposed to be happy. He himself had thought that Legolas seemed to be a bit depressed since the "argument" in Gondor and when Lenia left it seemed to truly shift Legolas' attitude(if that was at all possible).
Legolas slung his bow and arrow case upon his back, said goodbye and quickly left-the last thing he wanted to do was waist time. Time was precious now and it was withering away at every tick and tock of a clock, every second Lenia got closer to dying, every minute her life was slowly disapearing. What would he do when that clock stopped ticking, when Lenia's heart stopped beating.
coiasira ier running n'e (Time is running out)
Tick, Tock
Tick, Tock
Tick, Tock.

To tell you the deadserious truth, I didn't really like Lord of the Rings, the books or the movie.
BUT.
I happened t suck in every single flipping word you wrote like a thirsty person with water. YOU'RE AMAZING!!! Erg, I wish you'd written LotR; I'd actually read the whole thing.
I love Lenia.
Don't die Lenia.
After all, Legolas is hot. And portrayed by Orlando Bloom. And he's an elf. And he's hot.

Oh.
Haha. I LOVE IT! I NEED MORE!

Lovelovelove,
L.

LOL I completely understand-I mean I love Lord of the Rings but I have several friends who don't-or don't like how it ended.
*sighs* I love Legolas-him, Aragorn, Dink(from book called Ender's game) and Edward(Twilight) have a special place in my heart :) I aslo love elves too-infact Alana from my book is part elf(on her dad's side). I also love Orlando Bloom-not sure why- but I do. My friend actually found the cutest interview with Orlando Bloom and Liv Tyler.....*clears throat* anywho

When I'm done witht he 2nd chapter I'm gonna post it, I write these chapters pretty quickly so I should be able to get it done soon hopefully it's not too long lol

*Shivers* You write so powerfully, it's basicly giving me shivers! Everytime I read something new of yours, I realize once again how GOOD you are! Like L. said, you're AMAZING!!
And I have a confession to make. I really, really don't like Orlando Bloom. *ducks and covers* SORRY!! In fact, I don't really like legalos either, but you're legolas is awesome! (Although it's all wicked sad. Sniff sniff.)

Awwwww thanks guys*blushes and hugs you* You know what's really funny I didn't write alot before even though I loved it and now suddenly I'm writing all the time since we started this site-and I blame Anna for that-in the best way though. Thanks*smiles and hugs you*
It's okay *laughs* I have a friend who LOVES Eowyn-and to be truthful......I don't care for her.....no offense to any Eowyn lovers-I just don't care for her for some odd reason....but I like her with Faramir. Faramir's cool......man I need a life LOL
Yeah my Legolas is nothing like the book or the movie....somehow I just couldn't capture it-so he's just what I have him as.*shrugs*
And just to let you guys know incase you didn't grab it when Legolas told Lenia to go and that he didn't want her to stay-he didn't mean he didn't love her anymore(obviously) even though that's how she took it.(Legolas obviously still loves her and vice versa.)

I love ALL of your characters much better than the ones in the book/movie. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'd date your Legolas, but he's taken, and I'm more of a vampire girl... *winkwink*
Changing subject, would anyone else here give an arm and a leg to go to the Eclipse Prom?
I would. :D
On Stephenie's site, she told the guys who came that there would be a whole bunch of single girls thinking romantic thoughts, and all they had to do was introduce themselves as Edward, and they'd have a date. Bwahaha, I love her... And Edward.
OH, and guess what, Anna? I let another one of my friends read Twilight & New Moon. They think Twilight's okay, but New Moon is depressed for the bulk of it and that it's too romantiky.
We aren't friends anymore.
...
[Ha ha, just kidding.]

Laur-Rawr.

Ps - Really, Katie, you thought YOU were long-winded! At least you stayed on subject!! ;D

AnnaRose said...

Oh Lauren... Hahaahahahahahahah!:D
Yeah, my older sister didn't really like New Moon either, she found Bella annoying. She's a huge Twilight fan though. And going to the prom would be amazing, especially if you were going to be there!
And Katie, we were talking during the party and came to the conclusion that this site has basicly made us ALL write more. It's pretty cool, especially since I came up with the idea! Not that I'm bragging or anything... but it was pretty brilliant.... Rofl!!

P.S. I am a big Farimir fan too. Along with Sam. And Gandalf. And Aragorn. And... Oh jeez, I need to get a life too! :P

Miss Katie said...

LOL I can go WAY off subject too Lauren so don't worry about it! lol Yes my Legolas is taken*takes him and giggles evilly* my fanfic charactor!......though vampire's are cool. I love Edward too*sighs* and I have a vampire in one of my book books(booky to publish). I told my parents I'm getting Eclipse no matter what.
And Anna course it was brilliant and I thank you a bunch for doing this-I love writing but it's hard at times for me to get motivated and if I need help all I have to do is come here lol(sounds odd but true)It really helps especially if I'm in a brain block and I know I need to trudge on....it's late and I'm SO tired we've been out like all weekend lol

I'm hit 'en the hay,
Katie :)
