Dear Post Below: YOU ASKED FOR THIS.

:)
You know I love you.
But just to prove that I am not slacking off on reading or doing this blog (reword that for me, because I know it sounds weird), I'm posting both LAST MONTHs and THIS MONTHs challenge.

(ALSO, PS, SPEAKING OF THE POST BELOW, that was WONDERFUL, even though I can't follow for crap, since my brother was playing Guitar Hero. Believe me, I WILL go back and reread, because the parts I did get, I was like *DROP JAW*)

Bwaha.
I know, right?
AMA-HA-ZING.

Okay.

April's Challenge, Which Lauren Willfully Avoided Posting For Obvious Reasons: (And also, Ms. Anna, I would like you to know that I REWROTE this because I thought that I had done mine wrong after seeing yours. So now, its in story format. Whatever.)

It’s indescribable.

Blue skies with only traces of cotton-ball clouds, the fuzzy whiffs floating through the air, grass as slippery and green as perfectly planted fields in spring, and a temperature that couldn’t be more perfect.

I’m lying down, and smiling up. Someone’s holding my hand.

I lean to the side, touching their shoulder, without looking at them, but although I don’t see them, I know that we love each other unconditionally and that I have known them for most of my life.

I don’t know how old I am, but I feel young and vibrant.

I lean back into the grass and close my eyes. When I open them again, I’m surrounded by people that I’ve done unexplained things to – people that I left hanging and didn’t say anything about what I really meant to.

A curly haired Indian boy steps up and looks at me sadly. He’s so young, and from so long ago, yet I recognize him instantly. Without really helping it, I start to bubble about how I didn’t want the pressure and about how I hadn’t meant to lead him on… Until he smiles and nods, tears in his eyes, and mouths the words ‘thank you’.

He understands.

My heart hurts a little, but the same hand holding mine in the grass reaches over and brushes my own, and the hurt dissapates into happiness and relief.

In the crowd, as people talk with one another, another face catches my eye – the only one who is looking at me. She’s thick boned, with brown, shoulder-length hair and a stony frown on her face.

She walks over, and I talk to her.

The same happens over and over again. A boy with blonde hair and blue eyes, an older woman looking lost and confused, a shy boy with curly blonde hair… I tell them all the truth, and why I did what I did, and sometimes, their heart breaks, but in the end, we all feel better and happy and finally, I feel like I’ve finished.

Some of them, I hug, some, I kiss, and others, I have to let go of all too soon.

The man sits beside me all the time.

Eventually, the crowd disappears and I’m guided to a huge room with wall-to-wall windows, looking out over a clear ocean and black sand. People are celebrating down on the shores, and their happiness is contagious.

It's not much. But it's written, okay?

May's Challenge, Which Lauren Just Found Out About and LOVES Doing (as she did on NaNo forums only a million times), So Be Prepared:

Beloved Ophelia,

You officially suck. What the hell is this whole "let's kill people off and then make their relatives suffer without actually knowing what's going on" thing?! And what about the Talon/Alex (more on THAT later, young lady) thing that completely screwed around with my ENTIRE plan about her being somewhat of a tomboy? And in the middle of this,

YOU DECIDED TO TAKE A VACATION TO CANADA!

Number one, YOU ARE NOT THE BRAIN. You are only a figment of it, and thus cannot control the death factor in my stories as much as you have lately. A little is great. A suppressive amount that wipes out more than half of my MCs? Um, no.

Number dos, Alex doesn't even sound right. You're on crack for making me stick with it. And also, the sister's name is Dora in some shape and form? I could kill you. Honestly.

I am so mad at you. SO mad.

...Also, how was Canada?

Yours, Unfortunately,
Lauren.

:D That's right.
WHAT NOW?

I LOVE YOUR CHALLENGE!!!!!! Its so perfect! I love it! And I love your letter to muse, of course. I figured you would've done that before. And I did it during Scriptfrenzy, when I was totally lost and it was so fun.

Haha and thanks. :D You may not have been able to follow at all because it's purposely really confusing.

Dude, but it was awesome.

AND THANK YOU!!! :D

THEY ARE SO MUCH FUN, those letters! I wrote a million of them a couple years back in NaNo...

Which, come to think of it, was probably the reason I lost.

WHATEVER!
:D

Jeeze Lauren you didn't have to change your challenge piece for me! I just did it the way my muse led me. ;) But yours was wonderful anyhow, quite heavenly I'd say. Hehe.
I love that your muse is named Ophelia. And um, since WHEN have you been working on the Talon story?! When are we going to get to see some????
I kind of like Alex. :P
I suppose I should go do my challenge now... yayw00t.

...
The, um, the Talon thing?
Um. Yes.
Um. Wow.
Um.

SOON, when my muse actually recieves my letter and lets me write? Heh.

THANK YOU.

Also, I wasn't sure what I was doing anyway, so no worries that it was actually your fault I changed it. I mean, it was, but don't worry about it.
;)
Just kidding.

Ps - Ophelia says hi. Remind me to tell you about her sometime - she's rather dark, and has a twin brother.

(Year one of NaNo, baby.)
