Um, yeah. That's what I thought. It got sneaked online so I saw it before, but I wasnt sure if it was the real thing. Maybe like... its going to be a deadly chess game between the volturi and the cullens? Or the werewolves and the cullens? There must be some significance to that pawn though, maybe the king's Edward and the pawns Bella?
I really have no idea.
I think that whole king = Edward, pawn = Bella thing is right, but hey, I'm just guessing as well as you are.
Honestly, even if that's the case, I don't see any real signifigance...?

Well, and also, New Moon and Eclipse both had covers that meant absolutely nothing.
I was kind of wishing, that since it was the last book, as in 'all coming to an end', she would've shocked millions and...
Left the cover completely black.
I hoped for it, dangit.
Didn't happen.
Amen to the no idea.
Erin said that the red pawn was probably a vampire, but that got me thinking that the white king was a 'vegetarian' vampire and then the red pawn was a regular one, and wouldnt it be weird if Bella got turned and she didnt want to be a vegetarian? And then it would be about Edward having to work to win her back.... completely not happening. But I think it'd be cool and unexpected.
That totally would've been awesome. But so disapointing to everyone who bought the eclipse special edition!

You know, I think I'm going to be disappointed with this one. If she's not turned, everything will seem like a let down, but if she IS turned, the story's ending too soon (unless it's at the beginning, in which case, WHAT?).
She better pull out a miracle.
But I'll read it and love it anyway.
I think the book is going to have to be about her being a vampire. If it isnt it'll just be old and boring. But of course everyone will read it anyways! I keep having these dreams where I'm reading the first chapter and she gets turned! I kind of want that to happen.
Also, for the cover theories, I read this theory online where it said that the red pawn was Bella as a human, weak, and then the white queen (or is it king?) was Bella as a vampire, all strong. That could very well be. But then it could have no meaning whatsoever!
OMG I KNOW WHAT IT IS.
