Haha, you guys totally rock. Not even kidding in the slightest. :D
SO.
This is going to be short, because I wrote it down yesterday and today in math class after we were done testing, by hand. Also, as a very fair warning, I must tell you that this is cheesy. Not in the yum way, but in the oh-my-lord-it's-a-cheese-tidal-wave kind of way.
Got it?
Okay. :S
It's an "excerpt" (of course, to be a real excerpt it would have to have been taken out of a passage, which it's not) from the Talon story, just something random that is part of the plot, and most likely won't live to see the final (haha...) copy. ;P
Henceforth...
Actually, I just wanted to say henceforth. I'll get to the story now. ;D
This part comes after Talon disappears (I know, I know...) for a long time and Adele (I'm REALLY starting to grow on that name) kind of grows cold towards the whole situation. He comes back, and they fight (the main part being skipped,) and this is how the "fight scene" "ends"... "Supposedly".
Remember - This is written after lunch, when I was warm, fed, and tired. Ignore the stupidness. Bwahaha.
;)
-----
He glared at me with an overwhelming intensity, his voice irritable. "Why are you trying to fight me, Adele? What choices I make are exactly that - my choices."
I stubbornly tried to hold his gaze. "But when your choices affect other people, even if you don't know how deeply, it begins to matter to them, too."
He frowned and took a step towards me. I felt myself tense up without thinking. "And who," he countered wryly, in a much calmer voice, "would my choice to leave affect? Apparently, you know these people better than I do."
"I..." I dropped my eyes and began pacing the room. "Vitali, Dante', and Merian, for one. I didn't even see them most of the time you were gone."
"Dante' and Merian went to Merian's mother's palace for several weeks." He said coldly. "Vitali knew where I'd gone, but I asked him not to tell you." The frustration had left his face, replaced with a look of some teacher explaining things in a simpler way for an uncomprehending child. In this case, me.
His blue eyes watched me patiently as I stooped pacing and tried to make sense of the words running freely in my head.
"This... This was all some kind of setup?" I asked miserably.
"Yes. In a way, I guess. I didn't mean to even come back until I was sure you'd left but... Circumstances came up. Vitali had assured me that instead of actually having to break a commitment with you upon our marriage, it would be better to disappear."
I stood still for a moment, looking at the warped wooden floor in my pathetic shack. Only three weeks ago, I'd been living in Salida, Colorado, sure that I didn't have any kind of overly exciting future beyond that town. I could feel my eyes burn with the memory of my old home.
"I was killed by a hit-and-run with a truck." I said my voice breaking. "To be dragged through weeks without hearing anyone from someone who was supposed to be my fiancee? That was pure hell. I would've rather died again than not have had any word from you." Once again, I glared through angry tears at his slightly stunned expression, a gorge of imploding emotions welling up inside of me, before I slid down the wall until I was sitting on the floor.
Talon looked at me curiously, biting the inside of his cheek, before quickly walking towards me and kneeling down on the floor. A small smile twitched across his lips as he turned my head towards him. "Adele," He said softly, holding out his hand. "Dance with me."
I couldn't help being confused, but seeing that he wasn't going to pull anything, just like the last time we'd danced, I put my hand in his. Instantly, a familiar yet strange warmth swarmed my senses. Noticing the amazed expression I had, Talon grinned childishly.
"You've missed me, haven't you?"

Maybe you're on the "we miss Lauren" high rofl!
It's so funny last night I had a dream with all of us in it the odd thing was-we were all girlscouts.....*scratches chin* the cute thing was all of us(you me, Kelia, and Lauren) were watching these adorable kids at a 4h/Girl Scout camp.
Yeah I know kind of an odd dream...
Katie-Baity
Lol Katie. It sounds like a cute dream!
I just wanted to tell you, we're not going to be able to go the last bookcovers, because we're going to Acadia today, and won't be back until late Monday. Would you mind explaining to Leila? Thanks!
Annapants
P.S. Have you seen her new hair??! :O
Not a problem Anna! I'd be happy too.
Now are you taking about Lauren or Leila's new hair style???? If Leila has one-no not yet. But I have seen Lauren's.
Last night I went to go see my drama buddies in the play they put on with the school, called "The Outsiders" it was awesome(seeing my friends and all) and the play was really good too. Though I wasn't extremely happy cause only a couple people, including me and my family, gave them standing ovations. And they had worked SO hard too(in only 8 weeks)
Oh yeah on that whole 4 things thing you sent me Anna, I didn't earse the food cause I really love thoughs foods and several others so I just thought I'd keep it that way rofl-not copying!
Ah! Sorry I haven't commented in forever! It's the usuall end of the year crazyness here. :D I was talking about Leila's hair, btw, although I'm sure you've seen it by now! What do you think? (And I actually didn't know about Lauren's... did you have a picture?? :P)
And, oooh, that's so cool that you got to see The Outsiders as a play! Have you read the book or seen the movie? It's a really sad story... :'( Did you see A Midsummer Nights Dream at the High school? We did, (my cousin was in it,) and it was awesome, although some of the acting was pretty bad... lol.
Anyways, I was wondering if you guys want to keep posting while Lauren is away, or wait till she gets back...?
It's okay,
This is gonna be short and brief cause I'm dead tired rofl.
Yeah I did see Leila's hair and I thought it looked really good! I found out about Lauren's cause I was talking to her over Instant Messenger and her new icon was her taking a picture of herself in the mirror and when I told her I loved the picture she said it was her taking a picture of her new hair cut. It looks really good too.
I've yet to see or read anything on the outsiders but the play, although my friends who have tell me all about it and now i'm DYING to see the movie and read the book. My friends almost(not quite but SO close) brought me to tears in the play. Some of the acting left little to be desired from certain people but I give them their props they put this play together in 8 weeks and that performance was their first "run through" without stopping. So I was proud of them nevertheless and I was so happy-the director whom I know personally has invited me to join them at the after party :) I thought that was sweet, I originally wanted to help out but medical problems within the family stopped it so I thought it was sweet of her to include me.
I wanted to see a midsummer's night dream but I did not get the chance although my friends from the highschool said it went of good but as you said some of the acting left little to b desired.
I was gonna ask you the same thing it doesn't matter whether we wait till she gets back or not, which do you prefer or do you think she'd prefer? I'll also be on and off, I started a writing class in portland which means I must glue my butt to my LOA story ROFL (talk about hard, I've been working on it's sequal)......I think this is longer than I meant it to be.....
ROFL
Talk to you later, Lylas,
Katie-bo-baity!
I'm probably going to post my play in a few days...which might turn into a week, but whatever is fine.
The outsiders would be a cool play! Sad though.
Have fun at the writing class, Katie.
Kelia
Thanks Kelia!,
I actually might be posting something soon too, within the next 2 weeks. But Kelia you are more than welcome to go first. It was kind of funny, I was doing a free writing thing for my writing class and I was stuck cause nothing was coming into my head(which sounds really odd) and suddenly I got something and I think I'm gonna tweek it and such and put it in my book. I was very happy about that.
Yeah the outsiders is very sad but I still want to read the book*bounces up and down* lol
Lylas
Katie-Baity :)
Lol Katie. Short and brief?? :D
I like Leila's hair cut too! It was a big shock to us, and I had to get used to it, but I definitely like it now. And did you know that the author of The Outsiders was only sixteen when she wrote it?? Pretty cool.
Personally, I'd like people to keep posting, and I don't think Lauren will really care... In fact, she might WANT something to read when she gets back! Lol, so go ahead both of you! And I'll have something pretty soon too. Yay Script Frenzy!!
Good luck with your writing class Katie! You'll ace it, for sure! :D
Annapants
16?! WOW! That's amazing! When I read that I think my jaw dropped to the floor-but I have it back now-not to worry :)
I think she would too, I think she also said that when she posted it was something like "Can't wait to see what you all put up next" or something along that line. and I would not mind at all :)
Yeah....I think that my um "short and brief" comment came out a wee bit to big compared than what I had wanted to do at that time lol :)
Aw shucks*hugs you guys* Lauren's right ROFL this is like some sort of writers support group. Not a bad thing rofl!
Well time for school work!*sighs* lol just kidding I love it.
Lylas,
Katie-Baity
