My new found love

Okay for the past several months I have been poked and prodded and asked to post some of my story on here so guess what-I'm finally do it!
It's so funny-here I am typing this up and continuing it and on comes a new episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition and I start balling my eyes out at the story which kind of helped me put myself into my characters position for the sad parts so it works out!
With that done I'll get onto the explanation. I wanted to take a break from my 8th chapter (I still can't believe it!) of my L.O.A. story and do some building up of the background of 2 characters who are gonna become major characters in my book. Through doing that I found out that I absolutely love them! Sadly I don't think this truly showing their FULL characteristics BUT it is a very good up close and personal look at some important moments in their lives. This probably won't go in my book but it will be one of the outtakes kind of like Stephenie Meyer has. Above I have a picture of Adrian (Nick Carter/Jesse McCartney) which is a pretty close rendition of him and Alexandria (Rachel Leigh Cook) which is a close rendition too just she's missing the green eyes and purple hair(it'll make sense when you read it). Sorry for the choppiness but I was bored and wanted to skip over the "boring" parts. lol. I will warn you in the end of this post there is a "lovey dovey" scene. I had just gotten done reading a bunch of Twilight, New moon and Eclipse stuff when I wrote it and it's so easy for me to make these two charactors that way but for me it's also a scene where I'd blush and cringe and run away screaming if my parents read it aloud.

Finally I want to say to anyone reading this who is not, Anna, Lauren or Kelia(I know you guys would never steal my work). This is my orignal writing it is copywrited just by the fact that I wrote it and know everything about it. These are my charactors, my planets-my canon. Please I ask you: DO NOT USE THIS IT IS COPYWRITED.
Last but not least hope you enjoy!

'Through the white mist that covered the galaxy in the morning the planet of Galileo became fully visible to the naked eye.. As the ship broke through the mist and into the blue like atmosphere the world around me whizzed by all the while looking like a water painting in a rain storm. The ship came to a....semi smooth landing on the long runway and from there we were headed,' Lady Alexandria blinked down at her journal, "Senator Sengal-where are we headed?" It had been many years since she had visited Galileo or her home Planet, Arcimada. After her sister and brother-in-law died she had committed herself 100% to her job and stayed away from all else.
"I'm bringing you to the base M'lady." Senator Sengal looked over his shoulder at the Lord whom he was escorting on his way to the senate as he spoke.
Lady Alexandria looked back at her journal, "Thank you." She said aloud before continuing her journal entry. 'We were headed to the Galilean Army Base in the town of Shyarlian. There for the next several years (only the Gods know how long) I will be training both the Galilean Army and whatever number of our (The Klatine Army) forces are sent here for additional training. I will also be helping the community (clean up abandon or unclean areas, help out orphanages and much more) and pretty much be a temporary member of Galileo till I leave.' Alexandria felt the car-like vehicle begin to slow down. 'Time to fly-write when I get the chance
Alexandria'

As Alexandria signed her name to her entry as neatly as possible Senator Sengal opened her door, "The Royal Guard Base of Galileo, Lady Lord." He stepped to the side to allow her to exit the car-like vehicle and enter the parking garage.
"Thank you, Senator." Alexandria said as she exited the vehicle. They kissed cheeks and Senator Sengal drove off to go park the vehicle.
"Ahh, Lady Alexandria." A male voice said so loudly over the rush of spaceships entering the atmosphere she nearly jumped.
Lady Alexandria turned to look at who had spoken, it was Lord MacCullen-the Head Lord of the Galilean Army and an old friend of her and her siblings. "Lord MacCullen." She barely smiled and her green eyes twinkled dimly though she tried her best to be enthusiastic. "It’s wonderful to see you again sir." She added earnestly.
"As it is to see you, M'lady." He said as she walked over to him. "To be truthful I did not expect to see you again after the past events and was surprised when I heard of your wish to temporarily transfer."
Lady Alexandria lightly sighed, "The Klatine base just had too many memories of my sister and her husband, I couldn't stay. I haven't been there since they died, at first I got leave and went home but there were still too many memories so I went back to the base and transferred to 4 or so places before now. Now I'm trying to work at being able to face the places with so many memories-starting here. I know it's been 7 years since they died but it's still hard."
"It's understandable-they were loved by all. Breneck was one of the best Lords both Klatine and us shared. And Ann was one of the best people with the kids in the orphanages and just about everyone in the town. They are still being missed greatly." Lord MacCullen spoke gravely as they walked.
Lady Alexandria nodded lightly as her hear gave a saddened pang. Ever since their death she had been extremely sad and not quite herself. It was about 15 minutes before she realized Lord MacCullen was talking aimlessly while walking her around the base. She returned full attention to Lord MacCullen and the large base hoping he hadn't noticed she hadn't been paying attention.
"Ah, here comes some of our finest Pre-Lord's and Knights." Lord MacCullen said indicating 3 or 4 young men in their early 20s who were walking by them. He signaled them to come over and began introducing them to Lady Alexandria. "And this is once of our finest Knights in transition," He said as he acknowledged the last and youngest man of the group. It was a tall, dirty blonde-brown haired, blue-grey eyed, 23-year-old boy. Alexandria's eyes sparkled wickedly-she'd know him from a mile away. "Adrian Oregena."
Adrian smiled at Lady Alexandria and bowed lightly to her out of respect. She fingered her purple hair which as up in a pony tail braid as her eyes sparkled back at him, "We've met." was all she said before smiling lightly.
Adrian smiled and they all lightly bowed once more before walking off and Alexandria and MacCullen continued the tour of the extremely large base.

It was several weeks before Alexandria ran into Adrian again. She had gotten quite used to the base and the people-which both were refreshing and pleasant. After 3 weeks of non-stop training of military men of all ages she had decided to take a week or so to get to know the community which turned out to be as pleasant as her home planet-which at first was hard to bare.
"Alexandria!" Several kids said excitedly while running over to her as she entered the orphanage.
Alexandria smiled brightly-she found herself doing that around the children a lot more than she expected. "Hi there!" She said happily as she threw her arms around each one of them. "how have you all been?" She ask as she ruffled the children's hair.
Each of the kids took off at simultaneously of how they were which suddenly branched out to what they had been up to and oh so much more. Although surprisingly she didn't tell any of them to speak one at a time, instead she smiled and paid full attention to each and everyone on of them at once.
Adrian walked in, he usually came when his schedule permitted and seeing as though he had just passed the tests to become a Pre-Lord not all that long ago(a few days ago) he had a little more flexibility with his schedule.
He looked over at Alexandria the energy around her-the power, strength, gentleness but yet sadness-was intoxicating. His eyes surveyed her from a safe distance. Her long naturally multi-purple colored hair was up in a spiked bun, and her bright green eyes were sparkling with the joy of being with the children. She was wearing chocolate brown, pointed high heeled shoes, fitted dark washed jeans, a white embroidered camisole, a tan-brown poncho like shawl and matching earrings, necklace and bracelets. She-to him-was the complete picture and embodiment of beauty, much like her deceased younger sister. It took him several moments to realize he was gazing at her. Once he had he shook his head and walked over, "Lady Alexandria," He smiled, "I didn't expect to see you here."
Alexandria turned her head, "Hello Adrian." Her brightness suddenly dulled and the air between him and her cooled dramatically. She picked the smallest of the children as her feet up and ruffled the other's hair as she stood. "I've been helping out here lately."
"So I can see," His eyes sparkled as he looked over the children that were tugging on her-begging for her attention-and the young black haired girl who was resting her head on Alexandria's shoulder. "they seem quite attached to you." He smiled broadly at her-hoping she'd return it. He knew she was not mad at him, she was just sad-depressed to say the least. He could tell she hadn't quite gotten over her sister and brother-in-laws deaths and he knew he didn't help because he looked remarkably like his brother-whom Alexandria had become quite close to-even to the pointed elven ears.
Instead of smiling broadly it was a small obviously forced(at least to him) smile. "And I to them." She spoke as she kissed the black haired girls head again and ruffled more hair in a loving manner.
"Perhaps," Adrian began while digging his heels within the carpeted floor, "once you are done here you'd like to take a walk around the town?"
Alexandria had to admit she was curious to see the rest of the small town-not to mention Galileo itself. "It would be my pleasure." She said and Adrian swore he saw a glimmer of a smile within her eyes. With that Adrian bowed and walked off to help out in another part of the building seeing as this area was taken care of.

It was several hours before Adrian and Alexandria began their walk through town and it started out extremely quiet.
"So...why are you in Galileo percisly anyway?" Adrian asked finally breaking the silence.
"I needed some more leave time," She replied earnestly, "I wasn't ready to go back...not yet."
Adrian swallowed hard at the saddness within her voice. He completely understood how she felt-she had been devistated since they died, course she had been there when they died. So was he-though he got hit by a decon bomb(a minor bomb that does less damange to the things around it than others) knocked out and was in a coma for 4 or 5 months before he found out. Come to think of it, it had to be one of the only times he had felt as if he could get no closer to Alexandria.

Alexandria entered the quiet hospital room pulling herself together as much as posisble for Adrian's sake.
Adrian sat staring out the window, tears streaking his face, a telegram in one hand and the other hand over his broken leg which he had gotten when he was hit by the decon bomb.
Alexandria walked foreward carefully, unsure what to say to him. Not sure whether to appologize for his loss which everyone felt tremendously or hug him-thankfu he was alive. "Hi Adrian," She managed to say. "How are you feeling?"
"Well," He began as he started crumpling the telegram in his fist, "I was hit by a decon bomb, shoved into a coma for 4 or 5 months only to wake up and find out my brother and his wife-who was like a sister to him-were murdered no more than 5 minutes after I was brought here." He crushed it, "I'm doing pretty darn well considering the circumstances." He threw the telegram that told him and appologized for the loss of his brother and sister-in-law across the room. Had it not been for her quick refluxes it would have hit Alexandria.
"I'm sorry, Adrian." Was all her suddenly dry throat could croak as she swallowed back a mountain of tears.
Anger welled within the 16-year-old boy before her and he slammed the book on his side table to the ground. "Why them," He said angerly as more tears streamed his face, "Why him, why her, why us, why me! It isn't fair none of us-especially not them- did anything to deserve this!"
"I know, Adrian, I know." Alexandria said swallowing a lump in her throat as she picked up the book.
Adrian slammed his fist sideways into the wall causing both Alexandria to wince and a dent in the wall. "I hate this! Why'd it have to happen! If it wasn't for the stupid bomb they wouldn't be dead!" He paused crying still, "It doesn't feel real," He calmed down some, "It feels....like a dream. I keep thinking their gonna walk in just like usual."
"Adrian, I know you're upset-I am too-we all are." Alexandria said as she walked up to him.
"...It just, it doesn't feel real-it can't be." Adrian said as he picked at his sheets covering his broken leg.
"I know it feels like a dream because you didn't see it, hun. But you know what-it feels the same way with seeing it." She couldn't help it anymore, tears flowed like a waterfall down her cheeks. "You know I wake up every morning expecting to go down into the Mess Hall and see Breneck and Ali and their friends laughing and talking at the head of them room with Lord Nantai, Qing-Yuan and all the other Lords. While Ann, Melissa and them are sitting doing the same thing, though without the Lords. They would just be being their happy-go-lucky selves, never worried about anything no matter how bad the circumstances were. Then they'd smile at eachother and stare like magnets at one another. Then I walk in and realize...they're gone. I know how it feels, Adrian. I know how empty it feels. I know how much it stinks."
Adrian turned to look at her, he'd never in his entire lifetime seeb ger cry and for some reason he hated seeing her crying-her upset. He moved as best he could to make room for her to sit down.
Alexandria wiped her eyes as best she could and placed the book and telegram down on a side table before sitting down. "You know before I was hit and knocked out by that bomb Ann was holding my hand, telling me to stay safe and be careful-I told her the same. Then her hand slid slowly from mine as we walked-next thing I know I'm in a coma and their dead...I wonder if maybe I had held on she'd have gone into a comma too and both Breneck and Alan would have brought us here and they'd both be alive." Adrian said picking at the sheets again.
"It was fate, Adrian, everything happens for a reason even if we don't know why." Alexandria said as she mused his hair in a motherly way.
"I know." was all he said as he continued crying. Alexandria put her arms around him and stayed with him till he fell asleep.

"I understand." Adrian said so she knew her had been listening but the full truth was he was listening and he did understand. "You know," He began carefully, "You seem a lot less spunky."
Alexandria lightly smiled, "That's because I am." She sighed, "I've been busy with work and haven't even set foot on Arcimada since you were sixteen."
"And you were-"
"Don't you even go there." She wagged her finger at him-a sign of her usual spriteliness in her eyes and voice.
"And you were ," he continued, "as beautiful as you are now." Adrian smiled and easily covered up from saying her real age which happened to be around 440 with something that was just as true. Though usually you wouldn't know she was older than 21.
"Kiss up." She scolded him but lowered her finger. The air seemed lighter and happier between them as they walked and talked. Even if Alexandria didn't notice it she was suddenly a slice of 1 millionth percent happy though there was a long way to go before she was fully happy-something Adrian planned to help to do.

Months passed and soon Adrian and Alexandria became somewhat close to friends but Alexandria was still hesitant and depressed-but not for long. It was about 12 A.M. when Adrian jogged out to the courtyard holding 2 leave slips. "Alexandria!" He said as he went over to her.
Alexandria looked up and blinked at him-most people were asleep by now, "Hello, Adrian."
Adrian held out the two slips which clearly said 'good for ____ years of leave' which esensially ment as long as needed, "One for you and one for me."
"What for? Why?" Alexandria asked clearly confused.
"You need to loosen up, Al, otherwise your going to turn into a dull, nasty, snippy, stuffy, stiff old broad-a beautiful, dull, nasty, snippy, stuffy, stiff old broad but still one nevertheless."
Alexandria raised her eyebrows while thinking sarcastically 'Thanks Adrian' "I'm not stiff or dull."
Adrian lightly rolled his eyes, "And I'm kind of Galileo."
"Alright," She raised both eyebrows, "I'll go along. So say I am 'stiff'-which I'm not," Adrian muttered something that sounded remarkably like 'denile', "how exactly would 2 leave slips help?"
Adrian's eyes glittened in a youthful and mischevious manner. "You'll see."
Alexandria sighed, she knew she was less 'spunky' than she used to be but she wouldn't say she was dull or stiff-she was just....job oriented. She shut her book she'd been reading, "Alright, I trust you, but for the life of me I don't know why."
Adrian chuckled and his eyes glittered brightly, "Go on and get dressed in day clothes." He said as he glances are her pajamas.
"Should I pack anything?" She asked trying to sound as enthusiastic as possible as she stood. 'The Gods only know where he's taking me.' She thought.
"No, only bring your pocketbook." He said and she gave him an odd look, "Trust me, Alex."
Alexanderia lightly shook her head, "Alright, alright." She then turned and went inside to her room got dressed, grabbed her pocket book and went outside.
There before her was Adrian holding two helmets and two leather jackets while standing infront of his motorcycle. "What the heck??" Alexandria said more confused than ever.
Adrian put his hemlet and jacket on and over over, "These are for you-put them on." Alexandria looked at him hesitantly at first but then slipped the jacket on with Adrian's help and put the helmet on.
"Where are we going?" She asked as they walked over to the bike.
"You'll see." He said once more and smirked as he took the keys from his pocket and climbed on his bike, "Come on," He told her as he tied her pocket book to it, "It's perfecetly safe-I won't let you fall off."
"I'm not afraid of falling," She said as she climbed on behind him. To be truthful she had never rode a motorcycle and was more scared of it than of her murderous brothers.
"Hold on tight, okay?" Adrian said as he started it up.
"Oh dear heaven's." Alexandria groaned and tightened her grip as Adrian took off smirking. Alexandria pierced her eyes shut as he picked up speed and placed her forehead on his shoulder, "oh dear," she muttered again and felt Adrian laugh beneath her.
"Relax." His elven voice said as soothingly as possible, "You aren't gonna fall off trust me-and we won't crash, Breneck taught me." He chuckled once more.
Alexandria groaned, Breneck had not been known for his...particularly safe motorcycle driving. Breneck had been more of a rebel on his motorcycle although he had never gotten into an accident.
The next few hours passed slowly for Alexandria but soon they had stopped somewhere on the outskirts of a distant village in Galileo. The sun had risen and it was about 9 A.M. according to Adrian's motorcycle's clock. "Here we are." Adrian said as he climbed off while releasing Alexandria's grip from around his waist.
"I will never ride one of those again." Alexandria said as she got off, grabbed her pocket book and they both took off their helmets.
"Old broad." Adrian said and got Alexandria's helmet chucked at him. He chuckled and chucked it back knowing she'd catch it. "Loosen up, Al."
"Why do you insist on calling me that utterly replusive nickname?" Alexandria asked as she unzipped the leather jacket.
"It isn't replusive." Adrian said as walked over to some sharp rocks, "Come on."
"What are you going to do-try and kill me?" Alexandria asked sarcastically as she followed him.
"Nope," he fingered a rock then stood and slammed his helmet down percisely right so it split in half.
"Adrian!" Alexandria said shocked, "That's your helmet-are you made?!"
Adrian chuckled and his eyes twinkled mischeviously, "Do it."
She blinked and stared blankly at him, "Pardon?"
Adrian kicked aside his destroyed helmet, "Slam it down on the same rock."
"That's mad, Adrian," She said and he took her arms and led her to the right spot over the rock, "I won't smash a perfectly good helmet, Adrian."
Adrian sighed and rolled his eyes, "Stiff." He muttered and she shot a glare in his direction but he smiled innocently, "Slam it, Al."
"This is positively ridiculus." She said and slammed down the helmet so it did the same as Adrian's.
"Perfect!" Adrian said happily which cause Alexandria to start worrying for his health. Suddenly he took off his leather jacket threw it on the ground and jumped on it.
"What are you doing? Are you out of your mind?!" Alexandria said as she pulled her wind blown hair into a ponytail.
"No, I'm loosening up," He said and walked over to her, "take your jacket off."
"Why?"
"You're gonna stomp on it too."
"And what's that supposed to do?"
"Just do it, Alex-don't think about it just do it."
Alexandria looked at him and sighed, she stripped off her jacket and placed it on the ground and stomped on it. "Happy?"
"Very," he reasured and picked up the jackets and helmets and threw them in the trash.
"Adrian those were your-"
"We don't need them anymore."
"Why?"
"You'll see." Adrian smirked, "Hey, Al, why don't you go and buy us a universal map."
"Why?" She questioned suspiciously.
"Just do it, I have something to do-don't worry I'll pay you back." He said reasurringly.
Alexandria sighed and walked within a small town store and picked up acouple different universal maps-unsure of which one Adrian exactly wanted. Once she bought them she exited the store and walked out of it.
"Alex!" Adrian said and motioned for her to come over to him, his bike was no where in site-not Alex was begining to worry.
Alexandria walked over, "Where's your bike?"
"It's with one of my friends, he's bringing it back to the base."
"Don't we need that?" She asked trying not to panic-surely he knew what he was doing.
"Not at all-you have the maps?" He asked eyeing the back in her hand.
"Yes," She said as she handed them to him, "Why do you need them?"
"Come with me and you'll see," He took her hand and began walking with her, "Close your eyes." She hesitantly obeyed and aloud him to lead her till they suddenly stopped, "Open your eyes." She opened them and before her stood a good sized spaceship, "It's ours." Adrian concluded.
"But-how?" She looked at him, "Do you know how much these things cost?"
Adrian chuckled, "Yeah I do-I just bought it." He took his wallet from his pocket and opened it to reveal what looked to be thousands of dollars.
"Where'd you get all that money?" She was now severely worrying for his sanity.
"It was what I got from Breneck and Ann's will, I put it in the back and I also invested in it, and it's grown-I have more but this is all I brought-I can easily access it if nessicary. Besides I figured Breneck and Ann would want me to do some good with it and I will but this is also good." He smiled, "I'm gonna get you back to your old self."
"How so?" She looked at him.
"I'm going to take you across the universe as far as we can go." His eyes twinkled once more.
Alexandria's jaw dropped, "Adrian, that's ridiculus we don't have clothes or-"
Adrian held up a hand, "You need not worry about that, we'll be making plenty of stops-we can buy what we need on the spur of the moment." His eyes sparkelled again, "I'm gonna make sure you see as much of the universe as you can."
"You are out of your mind, Adrian Oregena!" She said looking at him still not believe everything he was doing for her.
"Well then-you're traveling with a mad man then." He took her hand and helped her into the ship and climbed into the drivers seat himself.
"Do you know how to drive this thing?" She snapped her head towards him.
"....roughly." He said and her bright green eyes widened in alarm, "Don't worry," He smiled, "I promise on my life-we won't crash." He looked at her, smiled and took off. He waited till they exited Galileo's atmosphere before turning to Alexandria, "Where do you want to go first?"
"Anywhere." Her heart was racing and she wasn't sure why but for some odd reason she felt excited.
His eyes sparkelled brightly and he crumpled up the maps and threw them in the back, this time Alexandria didn't scold him or anything. He smiled, "How about I take you to the star people." His eyes seemed to smile as brightly as the stars as he looked at her. The star people were cousins of the elves and his family-not to mention sweet hearts to the kind people that crossed their paths.
Alexandria looked at him and let out a breath she had been holding and nodded. Suddenly she felt a whole lot more relaxed than she had in a long, long time.

They had to have been on the road for at least 3 months and already seen 4 or 5 planets and bought enough food and clothing to last them several months. Adrian stretched and looked over at the clock, it was about 12 A.M. He turned his head and looked at Alexandria, she had fallen asleep in her chair somewhere around 15 minutes ago. She curled closer into herself, the atmospheric tempeture was cold-even for Arcimadan blood. Adrian took his hands off the controls and slipped his coat off and put it on her, carefully moving her purple hair to make sure it wasn't caught in anything. He smiled, put the ship on cruise control and stretched back into his chair while closing his eyes.

They landed on Seriline-the planet of ice and snow(literly)-at about 8 A.m. They settled into an apartment and then went out into town and just looked around at everything. That lasted till about 7 p.m. then Alexandria dragged Adrian out on a walk through the snow covered woods.
Adrian stepped behind Alexandria and let her lead the way as he watched the wonder and excitment within her eyes at the beauty of the white snow. He didn't need to keep an eye on where he was stepping you learned in most of the Army schools how to walk without tripping over anything-though being Elven helped. His eyes scanned the girl infront of him and he smirked getting a spurr of them moment idea he lunged foreward she jumped and screamed but laughed alittle and ran as he chased her all the way till they were out of the woods-it was just the reaction he was hoping for. Once they stopped Alexandria was laughing and smiling-something that brought happiness to Adrian.
"You are the nuttiest guy I know, Adrian." She smiled as she spoke and shook her head still smiling.
Adrian smiled brightly, "I'll take that as a compliment." He said as he walked over to her. Instead of going back within the woods they continued walking along the edge of it till they came around a frozen lake and dock.
Alexandria took Adrian's hand and gently led him onto the dock, "Frozen lakes are beautiful aren't they?"
Adrian swept his grey-blue eyes from the lake to Alexandria and back again, "mmm."
Alexandria's eyes twinkled, "When I was younger I used to break the ice of the lake in Arcimada by the castle and jump right in, in the middle of winter."
"Really now?" Adrian said thoughtfully, "With a bathing suit on?"
Alexandria shook her head smiling lightly at the memory, "Oh no, I was wearing fully clothing-shoes and all." She shook her head, "Stupid really."
"Oh no," Adrian shook his head while slipping his jacket off, "Not at all."
She turned her head towards him, "What?"
Adrian looked at her, "Mind if I barrow that clip of yours?" He asked while he eyed the clip that was holding her hair in a part up. "Like are you sentimentally attatched to it?" He questioned again while he threw his jacket onto the ground by the dock.
"No, I bought it on one of the planets to hold my hair up cause it was dirty-why?" She said eyeing him questionly.
"No reason." He said as he gently slipped the clip from her hair and slammed it onto the water and broke the thin ice. He then bent down and scooped up the clip before it sunk and threw it back over with his jacket. "There we go." He said as he watched the hole get big enough to jump in.
"What do you mean by there we go?" Alexandria snapped her head to look at Adrian and he smirk took her by the waist and jumped in while holding onto her.
When they came up she whacked him in the arm, "Don't you dare scare me like that again, Adrian Oregena!" She scolded but not even a second later both of them began laughing hysterically and commenting on how nuts they were and how cold the water was.
About 15 or 20 minutes later Adrian climbed out and helped her out. "Thanks, Adrian." She smiled the broadest smile he'd seen her smile yet-like one of her old ones-and kissed his cheek.
If it hadn't been for the cold weather already making both of their cheeks look bright red she would have been able to visibly see him blush bright pink. "You're welcome." He smiled at her and walked over with her to his jacket and clip, he clipped the clip in his own hair and slipped the jacket onto her, took her hand and ran to their temporary appartment both tripping and laughing hysterically all the way.

"Here you go," Adrian said as he handed her one of the 2 mugs of hot chocolate he held within his hands before prodding the fire with a stick and sitting down on the floor with Alexandria.
"Thank you." She said and sipped it. Both had stripped of the wet clothing and thrown it in the wash, she was now dry and wearing a sweater, jeans and socks-the only wet part of her was her long purple hair.
"You're welcome." He said as he put his arm on the couch seats behind them, "You warm enough?"
Alexandria smiled, "Quite so." She looked up at him with her green eyes and watched him sip his own hot chocolate.
"Having fun yet?" He looked down at her both eyebrows raised and lines gently creasing his young forehead.
"Yes," She smiled, "Am I still on the way to being an old broad?" She arched an eyebrow at him in a teasing nature.
Adrian smiled keenly, "I think you've changed your path." He truly meant it-her old happy-go-lucky, spunky dimener was coming back and it was coming back fast.
Her eyes twinkled up at him, "good," She said and then placed her head on his chest while sipping her hot chocolate, she was suddenly tired and he seemed like a comfortable place to lay her head on.
Adrian smiled down at her and kissed her head before staring over into the fire as they both relaxed beneath the heat.

By the time Adrian and Alexandria had been a year into their trip they had covered most of their galaxy and were now on the outskirt planets. Alexandria had became much more joyous and fun loving-more like the way she used to be.

Footsteps approached from behind Alexandria but she did not jump, she had come to reconize the sound of his feet lightly gliding across any surface they touched-almost as if they didn't touch at all. "Hello Adrian." She said keenly as she flipped the page of the book she was reading in the moonlight.
Adrian smiled as he stood over, "I was trying to sneak up on you."
Alexandria smiled and shut her book before turning around, her long hair brushing the grass, "You're going to have to do better than that if you wish to sneak up on me-you being half elf should know that anyway."
"Just because I'm half elf does not mean my hearing is exceptional," He paused thoughtfully, "though it is." At that Alexandria giggled, a sound most that didn't know her personally wouldn't expect to hear from her. At her job she was usually strict and serious and now-now that she had loosened up-when out of work she was a happier, spunkier more gentle soul. His eyes sparkled down at her and he held out his hand to her, "Would you like to take a walk?"
Alexandria smiled, picked up her book, took his hand and stood, "I'd love too." She said as she placed the book on the bench by where she had been sitting. Since Adrian had turned 24 she had noticed he had calmed down some, he had become much more fun but responsible at the same time. Him and Alexandria seemed to have found a place to meet in the middle-just the right amount of fun and 'seriousness'-at times he could even seem older than her.
Adrian smiled took her hand and they began to walk along the crystalline river's shore. They were on Aderline, a planet that resembled Acrimada-Alexandria's home planet-emensely(without the constant weather changes or them being so drastic).
"What are you doing up?" Alexandria turned her head to look at Adrian, her bright green eyes sparkeling in the moonlight, "It must be nearly midnight."
"Half past." Adrian said without glancing at his watch-he was watching the stars. A look of confusion passed over her face and Adrian lightly smiled at it, "It's an Elven thing," He began, "We seem to stare at the stars more than others so we learn everything there is to know about them-we can even tell when ones disapeared because it's time has ended. Learning how to tell time by their positions isn't hard."
Alexandria had a thoughtful pause before looking at him, "Teach me," sheturned and almost blushed at the way that sounded-something she didn't do often. "I mean-you've wanted to show me every part of the galaxy and not to mention as much of the universe as possible-what could showing me to read time by stars hurt?"
"Nothing." Adriain said and smiled at her, "Here," He helped her over onto a rock carefully making sure she would not fall in and then began teaching her to read the stars.
Alexandria turned to look at Adrian, "Thank you." She said as he turn and looked down at her, his eyes glittering-their faces only inches apart. Something inside Alexandria squirmed nervously-it wasn't right to feel this way. They got closer, she bit her lip-it wasn't like she didn't wanted to, she really wanted to but...it just felt ackward. She closed her eyes. She couldn't do it. She turned and ran off to the gazebo some distance down the path, accidently whacking Adrian in the process.
"Alexandria!" Adrian said and ran after her. He hadn't quite expected that reaction-not that he had ever expected them to kiss but he had thought about it.
Alexandria was sitting on the steps of the gazebo when he walked up, her face within her hands, her elbows on her night gown covered knees, and her fingers lightly entangling within her hair.
"Alexi," Adrian called her yet another one of his confounded nicknames for her which surprisingly she had gotten somewhat used to. "Are you alright?" He asked as he sat next to her.
Alexandria closed her eyes and took her hands off her face only to place her right thumb and pointer finger on the bridge of her nose.
"What is it?" He questioned. Alexandria was usually never at a loss for words.
"I'm sorry." was the only words that left her almost paralyzed lips.
"For what?" He worried and confusedly furred his eyebrows.
"I shouldn't have done that," She moved her hands once more, this time she clasped them and rested them on her forehead still resting her elbows on her knees.
"Done what?" He reached out to touch her shoulder but she got up quickly and walked to the other side of the gazebo.
"Almost kiss you." She choked the words out, she'd never had a boyfriend better yet dreamt of kissing one or telling them she had wanted to or almost tried to.
Adrian got up and walked over to her, "And why not?"
"We're related, Adrian."
"By marriage."
"And I'm-"
"441?"
She cringed gently and lightly rolled her eyes, "Yes."
"Haven't you said-"
"Age doesn't matter, I know." She placed her elbows on the railing and leaned on it.
"I know you don't believe age matters, so what's the real reason?" He cautiously walked over to her, the last thing he wanted to do was make her feel cornered of uncomfortable.
Alexandria sighed and closed her eyes, she knew she was going to sound as old at Harron when she said this-it was a pathetic worry, a pathetic feeling to have but yet one realistic to her. "Things are different than they used to be," She pointed out, "different from when Harron was born, when I was born-even when you were born." She sighed, "Things are much more dangerous," her eyes scanned the beautiful but deadly stars, "danger lurks everywhere now, it's upon every doorstep. You aren't even safe within your own home." She swallowed hard thinking of Breneck and Ann-one of the reason's she was hesitant about a relationship period. "Or your planet." She closed her eyes as tears welled within them.
Adrian placed his hand ontop of hers she tried to pull hers away but he wrapped his fingers around it. "And?" He knew there was more.
She swallowed hard and kept her voice steady, "You know my family, Adrian, my brothers-if I get within a relationship and they find out...do you know the targets we'd be?" She turned her head from him still unable to release her hand. "I don't want to put you or anyone else in danger," She trembled and he made his grip on her hand firmer. "I don't want anyone else to get hurt, Adrian, I don't want anymore death. I don't want to wake up one morning and find the ones I love gone. I don't want to get hurt like that again." She put her free hand over her nose and mouth. "Not again." Tears gently flowed down her cheek not more than a second after she finnished speaking.
Adrian put his arms around her, holding her tightly to him and kissed her head. If there was one thing he had learned when he was younger it was that he hated to see Alexandria in pain or cry. He stroked her head letting her cry for a bit-he didn't want her withholding tears especially since she had done so already for such a long time.
After letting a few moments past he put his forehead to hers, "We aren't Breneck and Ann, Al."
"Must you-" She began but he gently put his finger to her lips.
"Shh," He looked strait into her eyes with his, "let me say this, Alex." He lowered his finger and put it back about her waist and barely smiled and he heard her lightly intake a breath quickly, surprised he'd put it back there. "We are not Brenck and Ann, Al. What happened to them would not happen to us-I wouldn't let it. You wouldn't loose me and I wouldn't loose you. I'm not afraid of your brothers either-as far as I'm concerned their big wooses that use an evil dimener as their cover up." He sighed lightly, "I know you're afraid of loosing people, Alex, but it's bound to happen-we're in the midst of a war. It's bound to happen, but I will always be there for you before, after and during the hard times."
Alexandria's eyes lightly sparkled, "That has to be one of the nicest things anyone's ever said to me."
Adrian smiled lightly nudging her nose with his, "I mean every word of it," He locked eyes with her again. "I will always be there for you Alexandria Moranson," Then he smirked, "Whether you like it or not." He nudged her nose with his again.
Alexandria sighed happily and closed her eyes, "Trust me, I won't argue." she said softly.
Adrian took that as an okay time and gently kissed her, this time she had no ackward feelings or the slightest feeling of remorse instead it was pur bliss. Something she could deal with. She smiled and opened her eyes, they were sparkeling brightly up at Adrian who smiled, "You're blushing." He commented and she turned her head away dipping it fastly. This time he chuckled, it was a purely joyous sound. "It's sweet." Adrian said with a smile and gently kissed her warm cheek.
"Are you just trying to embarress me, Adrian Oregena?" She ask looking at him, her eyes showing fully joy and playfulness.
"Trust me." He put his forehead to hers and lightly kissed her nose, "You'd know if I was trying to embarress you." He smiled brightly and she whacked his arm this time both of them laughed.
"Perhaps," She began threw fits of joyous laughter, "We should begin what we never finnished, you teaching me how to read the stars."
"Very well M'lady." Adrian said and picked her up by her waist and brought her back to the rock and sat her down lightly. He wrapped an arm around her stomache in a protective and loving manner and used his other to point out the stars. This lasted into the early morning till they went back within the place they were staying and laid down to get some sleep.

I Love You, Please Don't Shoot Me.

I KNOW, I KNOW.
Because obviously, I did it.
I'm spreading the love.

SURPRISE. :D

So I really hope you like it, and I swear to whatever that I'll change EVERYTHING back after the seventh. EVERYTHING. :)
...
(including.the.line.under.the.title....promise.)

-----Much later....-----
So, I found this on my uncle's computer, and it hadn't even been TOUCHED, let alone looked at, since NOVEMBER of 2005.
You think I'm a good writer? Well, two years ago, I bet you a million and two dollars you'd be appalled to read anything I wrote. Check. This. Out.

“DOVESSA!” mother called.
“Coming!”
I wasn’t coming, and bet mother knew. I hadn’t been out of my room all morning.
“This INSTANT!”
“Yes, mother.”
I knew I was in trouble, but little was I worried. As heir to Weshendele, not much could be done to punish her, but ground her to the Summer tower, which I knew mother would never do. Never.
“Go fish.” I told Annette, her maid. She looked at me nervously and drew a card. She looked at her hand. “Have any Threes?”
“No, misses. I can get some, if you’d like.”
I sighed and slapped the cards down on her bed. “It’s Go Fish, Annette. You don’t want to have the card I say. You tell me to go fish whenever you don’t have one.”
Annette looked at her lady, pure horror on her face.
“I can’t, m’am. I wouldn’t dream of disobeying you!”
I sighed and took up her cards.
“You really need to loosen up, Annette.”
“Yes, m’am.” she complied as instructed.
As she cleaned up the cards, Dovessa lay down, only to hear the infamous laugh of Desina, Annette’s twin sister. I knew I was in for it now.
“’Nette, why are you cleaning? You should be helping ‘Vessa get ready for her new suitor. He’s a cutie!” She giggled and look at Dovessa. “’Vessa?”
I realized I was glaring at her, and instantly made her glare more intense.
“Yes, Desina, I have a problem. Annette is my maid, not yours, and I may do would I’d like.” I smirked. “Tell my mother, no.”
Desina frowned. “It’s about your brother.”
Dovessa strode into the ballroom with mixed emotions. Were her brothers coming home? Or did her mother summon her only to tell me that they weren’t coming home - ever?
As Dovessa rounded the wall into the grand hall, I started running. Zach, her youngest brother, was standing in the hall, taking to their mother. I ran towards him, and he turned around in time for her to see him wince.
I stopped abrupty. “Zach?”
He flinched again. “Dovessa.”
His voice was still strong, but it held a hint of pleading in it. I knew something was wrong, and it wasn’t only from the way he was dressed.
Even in a torn shirt and dirt stained uniform, he was still as handsome as he’d ever been. Black hair and green eyes shone out upon his boyish, loving face.
“Zach, are y-”
He held up his hand for her to stop and turned to mother.
“Mother, may I escort Dovessa up to her room? I believe she has matters to discuss with me, as do I with her.”
She nodded and frowned at her daughter. She had never loved her as much as she had the others, but as long as Zach or Kirsten sided with Dovessa, her wrath subsided.
Zach grabbed her arm, and started to walk up the stairs. “C’mon,” he whispered.
They walked slowly up the stairs. When they finally reached the top, away from their mother and her maids, he turned Dovessa around and put his hands on her shoulders. He was taller than her now, and he had to look down to look at her. Even with the height difference, he leaned down and engulfed his only sister in a hug.
“Vessa,” he laughed. “Oh my…”
Dovessa hugged him back, shocked. He was still the same brother that had left her only two years ago.
“Gods, Zach. I’ve missed you.” I smiled as he hugged me harder. “What have you been up to?”
He pulled back and grinned. “A lot. We went to Barsalona, and Kirs…” He fell silent.
“Zach,” I asked cautiously. “Where is Kirsten?”
He stepped away from me.
“Zach…?” Chills erupted down Dovessa’s back.
Zach brought his eyes to her. They were blank and empty.
“Zach isn’t here.” He said bluntly. His voice wasn’t the same. He grew pale and his hair, darker than usual. “And neither is Kirsten.”
You know those moments where your body screams for you to run? Well, if there was one moment where Dovessa could say that happened in her life, it would have to be then. Her brain screamed to get out and away; to run as far away as possible. But something drowned out the signals: Her blood.
Before I really had time to react, I pulled a candle holder off the wall, the unlit candle dropping to the floor.
“Oh.” He said. Just ‘oh.’
But he knew who I was at that moment. And Dovessa had already known.
I smirked, but stopped suddenly when he mirrored her expression.
“You’re the last one, Dovessssa.” His smirk grew. “Gargesss will prevail.”

I literally couldn't
  1. Pick between first and third person in the middle of a sentence.
  2. Be clear.
  3. Make a character freaky.
  4. WRITE.

Ugh. Disgusting.

Dunanana...

Nananana... Can't touch- OUCH. STOP POKING ME.
Haha. Thank you, spank you, Katie for egging me on to post. :D
So... Basically... Same song, different verse, a little bit louder and a little bit worse! :D
Actually, for the sake of people wasting valuable typing time to tell me it's not worse, I know. It really isn't. But I have this thing with Talon right now, where he's kind of driving me up a wall with his personality swings.
In fact, it's almost to the point of banging my head on the keyboard and yelling "ENOUGH. I'LL GIVE YOU ANOTHER DAY TO PLAY NICE." because that's what he's supposed to be gradually doing in this part: being nice to Adele; getting closer.
But I still love him.
:D
Oh, and I'm on a slight mission to find "pictures" "of" "my" "characters". [Note the quotations because, um, it hasn't happened yet, and possibly actually won't. Bwahaha.]
Alright, no more narrative. Here ya go. :D

“Freaking stupid, dumb, retarded poison.” I spat, grimacing. “It hurts.”
Kandon laughed at me and rubbed some more sweet-smelling liquor on my forehead. “It’s not so bad. I’ve been poisoned before. You’ll get over it in a few days.”
I frowned. “First of all, what do you mean, you’ve been poisoned before? You’re a medic, for crying out loud.” He smiled and shrugged. “And secondly, what’s liquor supposed to do to help me recover?”
“It doesn’t. It’s to help you ignore the pain.” He informed me, looking entertained.
I sighed and closed my eyes. “Wonderful. Alcohol on my forehead that’s practically pointless. This place is so bizarre.”
“Not as bizarre as your own place sounds.” Kandon told me, and I rolled my eyes.
“Yeah, well maybe you wouldn’t know because you’ve never lived in my place.”
He chuckled. “And maybe that’s my excuse, too.”
I was about to tell him that that wasn’t fair, but a polite cough interceded my thoughts. Both Kandon and I turned towards the disturbance.
“Sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering if I could talk to Madam McKenna.” A guard, older and with a kindly face, stood in the doorway, smiling awkwardly. “It’s pertinent to the investigation, and I wouldn’t try to invade otherwise...”
“It’s alright, Grant. I don’t think she’s too busy.”
Talon rounded the corner, and I about choked on my own spit. Why was he here?
“You’re here.” I stated almost hysterically, trying not to have a coughing fit.
He raised an eyebrow. “Yes... I went to go find Grant before you woke up.”
I looked at Kandon, alarmed. “He was here while I was knocked out?”
“He was here the whole time you were unconscious, Ad... Lady McKenna.” He glanced up at Talon after catching his mistake. “I can’t vouch as for the fact that he went to find the Guard, though it kind of looks apparent.”
I looked back at Talon and Grant. “Oh.”
Kandon stood up and brushed himself off. “I was getting ready to leave anyways.” He winked at me. “I need a break.”
I started to protest, but Talon caught my eye and shook his head, causing me to shut my mouth abruptly. I frowned, confused by the way everything was carried out over here. Kandon was one of my only friends at this point, and I needed all the friendly company I could get. Especially around Talon.
Fiancée’s could be such a pain.
I sighed and leaned up out of bed on my forearms. “What can I help you with...?”
He smiled nervously. “You can call me Grant; anyone Talon is engaged to is good enough to call me by name.” I blushed furiously. “And, well, I’ve only really got one question.”
“Oh... I was under the impression there was a whole series.”
Talon stepped up. “Actually, we just wanted to get the medic out of here. I needed to talk to you privately, Grant wanted to ask you a question.”
I frowned at him. “You kicked Kandon out of here just to chew me out? What now? Is your reputation in danger?”
He leaned down until he was inches away from my face. “As surprising as it may seem, no, that’s not why I ‘kicked the medic out’. I’m here because you’re deathly ill and you’re most likely not going to follow orders when it comes to your health.”
I heard Grant clear his throat, but I didn’t stop staring angrily at Talon until he smiled wryly and looked back to Grant himself. “Alright, well, go ahead. I’m open for questions.”
Grant smiled. “We’re trying to figure out how exactly you were poisoned, and so far, can’t come up with anything. Where were you and what did you do two nights ago?”
That was the night that I’d been introduced to most of Jericho as Talon’s fiancée… Or so I thought.
“The ball,” I recalled. “When I first met everyone.”
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Talon run his fingers through his hair in an exasperated motion.
“No, I’m sorry, Madam McKenna, but that was three nights ago.” Grant said apologetically.
“Call me Adele, but…” I turned to Talon. “I’ve been knocked out for two days?”
He nodded, shrugging. “ It’s not that big of a deal.”
I clenched my lips together and looked back at Grant. “Okay then, the night that I passed out, right?”
“Yes.”
In my head, I tried to remember. That day, I’d spent my time getting fitted for dresses and walking through the gardens until Talon found me and brought me to the main hall for dinner. After that... Well, I really didn’t know. That’s where I passed out.
I told Grant that, and he nodded as he soaked up every detail that passed my lips.
“Thank you so much. It’s been a pleasure meeting you… Adele.”
I forced a smile. “Anytime.”
He stood there, as if waiting for something. It took Talon half a minute to realize I had no clue what it was.
He sighed and stepped forward, shaking his head. “You’re dismissed, Grant.”
Grant looked a little confused, but nodded once and left the room.
Talon looked hard at me, a hard smile on his face. “You’re not making this easy, are you?”
I groaned and let myself fall back onto the cot. “And you’re trying to kill me, aren’t you?”
He laughed dryly. “Not purposely, but yes, probably so. This life is... Well, it must be...”
“It’s harder than my old one, yeah.” I admitted for him. “But I think it’s harder for you to teach me how to live than it is to actually try.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Was that somewhat of a compliment?”
“Possibly. I wouldn’t push it.”
He chuckled, surprising me, and came over, sitting on the bed. “Look, I realize that we didn’t get off to the best start, and I do know what it feels like to be new to a place like this.” I tried to ignore the close proximity between us, and from the looks of it, so was he. “Truly, you’re not repulsive or completely undesirable, but...” He smiled regretfully. “You’re just not my kind of choice.”
Surprisingly, I felt a little twinge of hurt at his fair-enough statement, and looked over at the opposite wall. “I didn’t ask to be saddled with this kind of situation either.” I said, a little more gruffly than I meant.
“And I know that,” he countered lightly. “But clearly, we’ve got to make do. Erick and Vitali know what they’re doing,” He sighed. “Even if I don’t. But they’re honorable, and you’re in good hands. No one will question your identity too much if you’re my fiancée.”
I looked over at him incredulously. He’d said the “fiancée” word, for once, without spitting it, and even had a look on his face that resembled genuine kindness – the kindness you show friends of friends; distant but benevolent.
“Um, well, okay,” I babbled, “but people already are.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah,” I struggled not to panic. His average, normal, everyday good mood was throwing me off. The Talon I’d dealt with for the last few days wasn’t anything like this. “there was a whole group of people, well, actually just a woman and her twelve kids, protesting that I wasn’t really engaged to you because I didn’t have…”
A fatal blush crept up in my cheeks as I stopped in my tracks.
“You didn’t have what?” He looked slightly annoyed. “There’s nothing that people in Jericho have that you shouldn’t, and whoever says differently is a liar.”
“…An engagement ring.” I finished lamely, closing my eyes. “It’s kind of stupid.”
There was a pause, and then I heard Talon laugh. “Actually… no, that’s not stupid.” he laughed again, and I opened my eyes. “I apparently don’t give people the credit they deserve; that was very observant, though on any other grounds, I would have probably had them confined until the wedding was over.”
“’On any other grounds?’”
He shook his head. “It’s nothing, really. Basically, we’re not having a wedding. On any other occasion, when two people are actually making the commitment, the bride usually doesn’t take well to people saying she isn’t legitimate. But that doesn’t matter now.” He closed his eyes and was still.
“What…?” I started to ask, feeling a taste of suspicion in the air.
He held up a finger without opening his eyes. “Give me a second.”
I sighed and copied his movement, closing my eyes, but only for a moment. Without someone moving around in the room, it was like death had already shoved me in a coffin – I couldn’t stand the silence.
And when I did, he was gone.
I leaned up on my forearms. “Talon?” I called, a worried note haunting my voice. “This isn’t funny.”
I heard him laugh, and turned around sharply. He stood in the doorway, his hands behind his back, looking amused. “I know. I just had to get something.”
I started to lie back down, but he shook his head. “Sit up for a minute.”
“Are you serious? I thought you were here to make sure I obeyed doctor’s…”
“Medic.”
“Medic’s,” I rolled my eyes. “orders. Not to help me go against them.”
He looked distracted, yet intent and serious on what he was doing. “That doesn’t matter right now.”
“Oh, so you can just walk in to a room and bend things to your will?” I asked sarcastically, not really realizing how true that statement could possibly be.
“Adele,” He said, smirking, looking me straight in the eyes. I couldn’t breathe, much less move. “Just do it.”
I groaned and pushed my legs off of the side of the bed. “You better have a really good reason for… Oh…”
Talon gauged my response, his face almost concerned. “It’s a Lady of the Night; the flower of the house,” he explained warily, looking from the circular case in his hand to my face. “It’s no wedding ring, but it’ll keep those with the ill intentions of unveiling your identity at bay.”
I could feel my mouth gaping open, and I knew that in royal places the action was considered rude, but try as I may, I couldn’t help it. In front of me lay the most beautiful necklace in the world; on a silver chain, there was a cream colored flower with five points, the width of two of my fingers. It looked like a star, and from where I sat, I could even smell it.
Hesitantly, I reached out to touch it. “Is it real?” I whispered, consumed by it’s beauty.
Talon looked taken back by my question. “Well… yes, but it’s been preserved for the smell. It grows stronger in the night, and looks the best when happy.” He smiled distantly. “It’s rumored to take on the feelings of the wearer actually, or so my mother told me.”
I looked at him, disturbed. “You want me to wear this?” I stated, rather than asked, flatly.
“Not particularly, if you want my honest opinion.” He said, shrugging.
“So why are you giving it to me?” I sighed, throwing my hands up. “I’m only your fake fiancée. There’s no need to treat me like the real one.”
Talon half-smiled. “You don’t understand. Finally. For once.”
“When have I ever understood?”
He chuckled. “This necklace is equal to your, ah, ‘engagement ring’. It’s not something to be given of my choice in this case, and not to be given lightly.”
It occurred to me that that’s why I was sitting, and he was on his knees in front of me.
“Oh.” I said, slightly awed.
He took a deep breath. “For this to work, this has to be somewhat real, do you understand?” I shook my head slowly, and he sighed. “This flower will presumably die if it’s on someone who the giver never actually proposed to in a formal fashion.”
I swallowed.
“So in order to do this, we’re going to be engaged, but only for the purpose of show. You cannot actually use the ‘but we’re engaged’ excuse on me just because of this. In any case, it’s just a symbol. All the same, it’s better than a fickle ring, since no one in this dimension, or whatever it was that you called it, even knows what that is.”
Only then, on the verge of being proposed to by my fake fiancée, did it come to mind that I was dressed in a thin silk, speghetti-strap sleeve nightgown that went to just above my knees. In lamens terms, a big no-no for anything to do with big ceremonies.
“Can’t we do this later?” I asked cautiously. “I’m really not in the position right now to commit to the necklace in a ritual or anything…”
“Adele,” Talon said plainly. “Calm down. We’ve already gone over this, okay?”
“But…” I protested miserably, “Oh... I’m not… I’m not dressed right.”
He stopped and looked at me, trying to pull the dress down farther than it was meant to go.
And then, of course, he promptly burst into laughter.

Rofl. I know, I know.
Haha. You guys make me smile; you rock way more than you know.

Finally

So here’s the whole confusing thing that goes with this story :) . This is my 3rd Harry Potter Fan Fiction. I started the 1st one about two months ago but kind of got bored with it and put it down for just a little bit(to give myself a break so I didn't loose interest). So then I started the 2nd one but that one gave away FAR too many (like 2 or 3) spoilers so I post-poned that one till the 6th movie comes out. I figured that could be like a year or two Soooo.....here came this one! And for once something of mine is writen in the "I" voice.

Summary: This takes place during the beganing of the 5th Harry Potter Book. The story is told by Ron's twin sister, Meygan(my made-up, the picture above is of her(I found it online (: )). By the way- I love Neville Longbottom and I will be using him more often than I did here because him and Meygan have an extremely strong friendship. I think that's about it and just to let you know-it starts out as a dream-you really don't find that out till later in the chapter.....Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the original cannon or anything they're all J.K.Rowling's creations-bless her mind (: -this was made for pure fun and not for the use of publication.
Enjoy :)

Fan Fiction Book: A world of Difference

Chapter 1: Lurking Danger

By: Katie L.

The sound of arguing that was coming from downstairs silenced or well most of it. Happy talking between friends filled the air along with the occasional arguing of cooks and banging or pots and pans and such other normal noises.
I walked down the hallway; I could hear Harry talking with both my brother and Hermione (probably the two whom had been arguing). I picked up my pace and smiled at the trio’s conversation, the only friends I had found so far at Hogwarts were Dean Thomas, Seamus Finnegan, Neville Longbottom, Oliver Wood and Luna Lovegood with the exception of a few others that have just recently fallen into play, and my family. Hermione was one of the recent ones but seeing as she seemed to stick around Harry and Ron more than anything I hadn't gotten to know her well. “Harry!” I said brightly as I reached the middle of the staircase-managing to be unseen for the first part of the stair case.
All three turned to look at me and if I wasn’t the type to be always in control of my composure I probably would have been blushing bright red out of embarrassment. “Hello Dragon.” Harry said and smiled but he seemed more in awe than anything-I suppose it was understandable I did look quite a bit different than the end of of the last school year, over the summer I had grown-in more ways than one-not that Harry had ever really seen much of me, I was usually hanging around with Neville and such. Even though we saw little of each other and calling each other friends was probably over exaggerated he had learned quickly I did not like being called by my first name and only responded (usually) to Dragon, my nickname given to me by my brother Charlie. When I was brought into the family Charlie wanted me to have the name Dragon but mum and dad preferred Meygan. Goodness to my parents, as much as I dislike being called by my name I’d rather have it than be named “Dragon”.
I smiled brightly at Harry and tucked my hair behind my ears and walked down the rest of the stairs. Patches-my kitten-would be a long soon enough to help Crookshanks annoy Scabbers. “How was the trip over here-I’ve heard the night bus is a dreadful terrifying ride.” I felt as if I should kick myself in the head for saying that, no one but I knew how he had gotten there and he didn’t know I knew.
A questioning look came across his face but he soon replaced it with his normal crooked smile, “It was….interesting to say the least. A ride I do not wish to relive in my life time.”
I smiled and giggled (probably the most idiotic way to laugh there is but it came out) “Does mum know you’re here Harry?” As I spoke I stood next to Ron, in-between him and Hermione to prevent more heated arguments over their pets.
“Not yet, but I imagine she will soon enough.” Harry’s eyes twinkled due to the sunlight; it gave a look into a side of him I was not used to seeing. He always seemed so serious when I saw him, but that made him look joyous and comical.
I smiled broadly back at him and my eyes twinkled like the stars, he was treating me like a friend and not just a friends sister-it felt nice. “It’s great to see you again, Harry.”
“It’s great to see you too, Dragon.” He smiled back but something about him was on edge, there was a wall around him-a force field I had never felt before-it was stiff and unsure, not quite defensive but yet not at ease. It was then that I knew he knew; Sirius Black had escaped from Azkaban.

We boarded the train together, Ron, Hermione, Harry and I-I had lost Neville and my other friends within the crowds so I decided to sit with them when they offered. “Cold for September isn’t it?” Ron said as he sat next to the window.
I pulled my greasy, old, navy blue sweatshirt closer to me as I nodded, it indeed was cold. I left my hood down, I figured I didn’t want to risk over heating myself which seemed near to impossible. Beneath some of the grease it was noticeable that it was one of my brother Bill's old sweat shirts that had shrunk some in the wash but not much, he hadn’t worn it since he was about 13 or 14.
“There must be a heavy cold front coming in for it to be so cold.” Hermione remarked sitting down with Crookshanks on her lap.
“Really now,” Ron spat out sarcastically, “I would never have known that.” I lightly rolled my eyes at the child-like actions of my twin brother and sat down beside a man who seemed to have drank himself silly(or in this case to sleep).
“Who is he?” Harry remarked sitting down as he noticed I sat next to this unknown man. “You know him?”
I glanced at the man-yes I knew him, I knew him the minute I stepped within the train but that was not his question. To be quite truthful I did know this man and not because of my magical abilities. Mum, dad, and him had talked often-just my other siblings were never around-I was spying when I should have been sleeping or studying or doing other such activities that I was obviously not doing. His name was Remus John Lupin, he was a kind man who couldn’t keep a job due to the fact he was a werewolf. As easy as it would have been to say all of that-the odds of two them believing me were quite slim, or so I thought at the time, so I said the answer that seemed to keep me away from interrogation, “No, I just sat next to him-he doesn’t seem all that bad.”
“His names on his suitcase,” Hermione remarked pointing upward and she did have a point Professor R.J. Lupin was written clearly across the front of his suitcase, “and it looks like he’s drank himself to sleep.” She added pointing out the bottle of some alcoholic looking drink he had beside him on the windowsil.
I lightly shrugged, from what I had heard Remus was not the type to ‘drink himself silly’ I more so guess he had drank probably a tad too much and because of that had gotten disoriented and drowsy and fell asleep. Or he was just drinking some, got tired and fell asleep-really quite simple answers. I glanced at Remus, he had never met me-or at least not that I remembered but he probably saw me sneak around when I was 5 or 6 while listening in on their conversations.
I sat and listened lightly to my brother and his friends talking but somewhere in their conversation their words melted into nothing and I knew I was blocking them out. I leaned back into the cushion as Patches-my money cat kitten-jumped up into my lap. I stroked her and looked over at Remus again, it looked like he was looking at me and my friends from under his coat, but I guessed it to be my imagination. I closed my eyes and allowed myself to only hear the train against the tracks. I let myself block out that as well in time and let myself travel the sound waves of the train back and forth from front to back while only hearing select items.
A sense of terror and darkness suddenly swept over me and I tensed up but could not snap out of my dream like state, something I had been warned about by Professor Dumbledore that I needed to work on. It came closer and the train halted abruptly and it began to get very cold. If I could have moved I would have locked the door to our compartment to prevent what was coming.
I heard the dementor open the door and come inside and I became as stiff as a board, my senses heightened far beyond what I was used to and they were controlling me, I had no control. My breathing got hard and my heart pounded, but I knew it was not directing towards me-course not-I was in a way within its mind; it was heading for Harry I could tell. It was sucking his happiness and he was screaming, I could hear him screaming, suffering-a sound I hated to hear from anyone’s mouth. I heard Remus stand suddenly and yell out a spell.
I was not extremely familiar with personally but I had heard of it. A silver colored light flashed within my eye lids and I calmed, opened my eyes and saw that he was deflecting the dementor out of the compartment.
I was the first on my feet, the first to react-with the exception of Remus-I knelt beside Harry. Ron was watching both I and Harry looking quite shocked…or scared the difference was hard to know by just looking and I was not really paying attention to him. I knew he was not shocked at my behavior after all he was my brother; it was what had happened to Harry that left him this way. Hermione on the other hand seemed to be double sided, made uncomfortable by both my actions and what had happened to Harry. The last thing I needed to worry about was people staring at me and what they were thinking.
I turned my look back at Harry as I heard Remus walking over. Remus knelt next to Harry as well, though he towered over both of us. He started speaking to him (even though Harry wasn’t awake yet) and occasionally Hermione and Ron, but I came across invisible-or so I thought I did anyway.
I kept my gaze on Harry; I knew I could easily help him if only I had more training, training which I would be getting soon.
After a bit Harry stirred, opened his eyes and began to sit up. I placed a hand beneath his back to give support as Remus did the same, “Careful there-take a rest.” Remus said while rummaging through his pocket for something. I nonchalantly smelt the air to see what he was hunting for, chocolate, he was searching for the chocolate which happened to be in the opposite pocket of where he was looking but soon he figured that out. “Here eat this it’ll help.” He pulled out a piece of chocolate and continued talking before he stood to leave.
Ron, Hermione and I helped Harry sit up better while he hesitantly ate the piece of chocolate. Harry turned his head and looked at me and I knew he knew that I had been in some sort of Trans just by looking in his eyes. “Dragon” Was the only thing he said while he starred at me.
A puzzled look crossed my face; I was beginning to think that possibly he was going into shock so I turned to catch Remus’ attention. I went to open my mouth to stop him from exiting but he had turned before I could. His eyes were set upon me, I was still kneeling. “Are you quite alright?” He asked me and stepped foreword towards me while getting ready to kneel again.
“Perfectly fine.” I skillfully hid all confusion from both my face and voice as I spoke to him.
“Meygan…” Ron started but he seemed at a loss for words, “Your-your eyes they’re….” He trailed off apparently not able to continue his sentence.
“They’re what?” I turned my head to look at him and that’s when I saw it. Through the reflection of the large window I could visibly see what was going on within my eyes. My pupils were no more than slits-resembling that of a snake’s-and my eye color was a bright green that was dancing on the verge of red. Both were far from my true eyes. I gasped inwardly and closed my eyes and opened them again quickly but they were the same.
“Come with me.” I heard Remus say and I turned my head, everything suddenly sounded distant-like I was in a never ending tunnel. Remus held out his hand and helped me up and then braced me against him. Which was quite good considering I suddenly felt both dizzy and nauseous. “I’ll be right back with her-she’ll be as good as new.” He reassured my brother and his friends before helping me out of the room.
We must have walked through 20 or so compartments by the time we reached the back of the train, it was an eerie looking area and I could here mice scurrying around. It took me a minute to realize it was pitch black in there but I could still see like there was light in there.
“Sit down.” Remus said as he turned on a lamp in the corner closest to me. I obeyed, it was quite unlike my nature to obey strangers but I knew that whatever was going on with my eyes was not good. I tried to focus on the sound of the mice feet on the floor board in hopes it would relieve the nausea. It didn’t work.
Remus knelt in front of me and looked at me, I looked right back, “Has this happened before? Have your eyes ever changed before?”
His question circled around in my head and I tried my hardest to focus on it and to find another time when they head, but I couldn’t remember. “I don’t….I don’t know.” I shook my head slightly frustrated with my lack of control over myself.
He lightly rubbed my arm and began rummaging through his pocket again, “You’re friend seems to be in good care.”
“He’s not my friend,” I managed to say without getting sick-the rising nausea was not being helped by the bumping going on within the cargo like hold we were in. “He’s my brother’s friend.”
“I see now, you seemed quite concerned for him when you were kneeling by him.” He glanced up at me, “Who are you?”
“Meygan Ann Weasley.” Was my simple reply as I placed my forehead within my hands and moaned quiet enough so not even he could hear it.
“Pleasure, I’m Remus Lupin.” He said as he stopped rummaging. I decided not to say ‘I already knew who you were’ some how that moment didn’t seem to be the right one to say that in. “Here eat this; it’ll help with the nausea.” He handed me something that looked like a jaw breaker, I glanced at it but didn’t refuse. I took it and popped it within my mouth-it tasted like strawberries and watermelon. “As for your eyes….I’ve never seen anything quite like it.” That did not surprise me; I seemed to be that way with everything. “But I have heard of it.” He began to rummage again before handing me a piece of chocolate.
I looked down on it; I seriously was beginning to question this man’s sanity. Chocolate had helped Harry-how on earth could it help me?
Remus chuckled and smiled, “It’s not the same chocolate I gave your friend-it’s different.”
The last of the other medicinal candy he had given me dissolved within my mouth and I began to bite into the piece of chocolate before stopping and looking at him. “What’s in it that makes it different?”
“Some mandrake juice, dried fruit,” he stood and began brushing himself off, “and snakes venom.”
I paused, my heart stopped. Snakes venom normally would kill any other person-anyone other than me-but how did he know. I watched him glance at me and walk over and sit down on a wooden box, “Eat it.” He commanded gently, “It will make it go away.” He detached a fraying thread from his shirt, “I do not believe that it would be best going into the school with serpent eyes, Ms. Weasley.”
Chills went up my spine as the chocolate-which to some would be poison-hit my tongue. The mandrake juice squirted as I bit down and the snake’s venom tingled against my tongue-when normally it should have burned. When I bit into a piece of dried fruit the tingling temporarily ended and was replaced with a sweet sensation of pure bliss. My nausea had stopped and I was no longer dizzy although I could not tell if my eyes were better.
“There,” Remus said when I finished the piece, “You’re eyes are as good as new.”
“Thank you.” I said as I stood and walked over to turn out the light. I paused and turned to him, “What was wrong with me?”
“I will tell you at another time.” He said and shut out the light for me and walked me back to my brother and his friends.

I did in fact find out later what it was that had happened, but it was not through Professor Lupin. During one of the nights I stayed after at Defense against the Dark Arts class to practice and study I got to talk to Professor Dumbledore who had come to talk to Professor Lupin but it just so happened Professor Lupin had stepped out for a second.
“Professor Dumbledore?” I asked looking up at him, my blue-gray eyes tinted with green and flecked with green and gold twinkled up at him.
Dumbledore turned to look at me, his own eyes twinkling beneath his half moon glasses, “Yes, Ms.Weasley, something you need?”
“May I ask you a question?” I asked as a set my quill down by my almost finished homework, it had to have been nearly 1 a.m. but I had special permission to stay out of the common room later to study with teachers who were willing to stay up with me.
“I suppose so-though I can not guarantee an answer.” His eyes sparkled mischievously and he smiled at me.
I stood and walked over to one of the skeleton resembling candles in Professor Lupin’s Office. “On the train when the dementors came aboard,” I paused and glanced at him, he signaled me to continue and I did, “I was in a Trans, you know-one of the usuals; I could only hear select things and then suddenly I felt this horrible feeling of darkness and terror running through me and I couldn’t move. I couldn’t even open my eyes it was so bad, it was like I was sucked into a time zone. It only stopped when Professor Lupin used the Patronus on it, it was only then that I could open my eyes and move.” I paused again and stuck my finger within the flame, watching as the flame cradled my finger and I did not burn, “That’s not my question though-I’m used to that-and you’re used to me coming to you for help on that.”
“Yes, I quite am.” Dumbledore replied so I wouldn’t be talking to myself.
“The thing is, is that after Harry was situated, he, my brother and Hermione started staring at me-like something was terribly wrong. Then Professor Lupin joined them and they asked me if I was alright several times, I began to get suspicious so I looked out the window and that’s when I saw it. My irises were a bright green that was dancing on the verge of red and my pupils were silts…silts like a snake.” I paused and clenched my jaw snakes always made me think of one thing-one person-Lord Voldemort.
Dumbledore gently stood from where he had been sitting and walked over towards me, “You’re wondering how it got that way?”
I nodded still watching the flame, “Yes I am-that’s never happened before.”
He lightly smiled at me and walked up behind me, “You need to prepare yourself my dear, you will have many things happen to you that will have never happened before and you will have to figure them out.” His bright eyes twinkled at me as he spoke, “As for the Trans my dear-I believe with a few more years of schooling that will take care of its self-though I am more than happy to counsel you as I am already, if you need.” He rubbed his chin lightly and stroked his long white bread and I knew he was thinking, thinking of the best way to put the words scrambling within his wise old mind.
“Please, just tell me.” I turned my head to look at him my wavy red hair bounced as I did so and some decided to rest delicately on my lips-not an unusual occurrence. “I’m not afraid of any truth-even if it has to do with Lord Voldemort.”
His eyes twinkled brighter this time; I could tell he enjoyed the gentle fire of determination within me that never stopped burning. “Indeed-I have noticed by watching you that fear is not a word within your vocabulary.” He paused and stroked his beard, “What happened to you is something that happens to very few. You heard the call of evil from the dementor-it was searching out other dark creatures-and you resisted, it called harder and you resisted. You tapped within its mind to see it’s actions and it did not like that-it put on a silent war within your mind to keep you within your state of Trans. In defense of the evil your body ‘transformed’ itself unintentionally back to its Parseltongue descendants.”
“Voldemort.” I murmured beneath my breath as mused the flame.
“Quite so, Voldemort’s eyes now resemble that of a snake-his symbol of evil.” He paused, “Are you affected by snakes’ venom?”
I caught my breath and shook my head, “no sir.”
“You wouldn’t be now would you? You have quite a resistance within your body to certain things, so when the Dementor entered and made you to fight a war within your mind that you could not control-one that pushed you to use power that you have not yet learned to control or harness, your body immediately turned itself into defense-into something the Dementor would listen to. A dementor would not dare attack Lord Voldemort so when your body turned your eyes it turned your energy and made you feel to it like Lord Voldemort would and it focused more on Harry.”
“I didn’t want it to attack Harry though,” I slipped my finger from the flame and turned to look at him, “I didn’t want it to attack anyone.”
“I know dear, and someday soon you will be able to control your magic enough keep your friends protected when you are around but at the moment the most important thing is to make sure you are no harm to yourself. You have an amount of power within you that no one would expect…..for a Weasley.” His eyes twinkled and his lips curled into a smile.
I smiled back, I knew I was powerful-or well, that I was supposed to be-but I knew I still had a lot to learn about how to control it and not turn it into evil-like some have. “Thank you, Professor Dumbledore.”
“Do you understand my dear?” He asked, his blue eyes scanning me.
“I understand enough, Professor.” I smiled and looked at the clock. “Would you mind telling Professor Lupin I left? It’s getting late and there’s Quidditch practice tomorrow.”
Dumbledore smiled, “Not at all.” He sat back down, “Ms. Weasley-may I tell you something?” I looked at him and lightly nodded, I would never refuse any words he had for me. “If anyone ever tells you that you are like him, that you cannot be for our side, that you are a spy or something-do not take that to heart. You are the farthest thing from him, the only likeness to him are your powers and occasional temper. But you will not turn sides.” He smiled at me once more, “You despise evil and unfairness far too much to join him.”
I smiled; those had to be some of the kindest words I had ever heard. “Thank you, Professor Dumbledore-that means a lot to me.” He lightly nodded still smiling and I gathered my things and walked out.

Suddenly the dream twisted-I expected to see the rest of my 3rd year adventures but I didn’t, it switched to my 4th year.
})i({ })i({ })i({

“Neville!” I shouted gleefully and ran down the hall and over to him, my robes flailing and my hair barely moving from it’s place in a bun that turns into a ponytail on the back of my head.
Neville turned and smiled at me, “Dragon.” His voice was cheery as usual and his eyes just as bright.
I smiled back and wrapped him into a hug; he had to be just about one of my closest friends at Hogwarts. “What are you up to?”
“For once I’m not trying to find Trevor.” He held up his toad so it was visible and I smiled.
“That’s good we wouldn’t want him lost.” I gently stroked Trevor’s head, most people would get grossed out from Trevor (I had seen a few) but I on the other hand adored Trevor and thought Neville and his relationship was quite cute for a toad and human to have.
Neville smiled and looked at me, “What do you want, Dragon?”
I put on my best fake looking innocent look, “Why Neville, you make me sound so mischievous.”
“You are.” He pointed out with a smile.
“True,” I smiled brightly back. I had to agree with him he was telling the complete and utter truth. “Actually I was wondering where Harry was-I wanted to wish him good luck before his task,” I smirked playfully, “Gilly-weed boy.” I kept my tone playfully and he smiled broadly laughing lightly, a pure sound of joy which I loved to hear.
“He’s out in the Quidditch field, Meg.” Neville said, unable to find a name to call me.
I smiled and lightly ruffled his hair in a sisterly way; he was about the only one who wasn't my family who could get away with calling me ‘Meg’. “Thanks, Neville.” I stroked Trevor and kissed Neville’s cheek; beneath my lips I felt him blush, though it was not unusual when any girl kissed his cheek he did that.
“Not a problem.” He smiled and watched as I ran down the hall, through the doors and onto the Quidditch field.
Harry was just sitting there starring at his hands, I wasn’t sure whether he was cold, scared, confused or nervous-I usually tried to keep out of his mind as much as possibly so it was harder to read him. “Hey Harry,” I said walking over to him and sat next to him. “What’s up?”
Harry looked at me his messy, naturally untidy hair ruffled lightly in the gentle wind. “Not much….just waiting.”
“Waiting around all day is not the answer, Harry.” I placed my hand upon his shoulder-a gesture I rarely did to him-somehow it felt right to do at this moment. “You’re just making yourself nervous and anxious about nothing-everything is alright and will be alright. You are one of the best wizards here-if anyone can do this you can.” I gently squeezed his shoulder reassuringly-I wasn’t quite sure if he had just listened to a word I had just said.
I watched as he eyed the empty silver locket Cedric had given me at the first task. Cedric and I were not an item, Cho, Cedric and I had made that quite clear to everyone-not that Cho really cared, Cedric and her were not an item at that time. The locket was a sign of friendship; I had been extremely worried about both Cedric and Harry, so to calm me down Cedric had brought me to the Three Broomsticks, there we laughed and talked and he gave me the locket.
I knew that Cedric had liked me in someway because he tried asked me out in my 3rd year but I told him that I was not interested in a boyfriend at the time, he understood and we became good friends. He also asked me to the Yule Ball-before he had asked Cho-but I had to refuse, Collin Creevy-a boy whom had in someway become infatuated with me-had already asked me and I couldn’t find it in my heart to refuse him. After that Cho and him became very close but apparently not close enough-at the 2nd task Dumbledore approached me and had me be the one Cedric had to go after in the water(for some reason Harry seemed on edge about that). Not long after that him and Cho started going out, Cho was threatened by me at first but she soon got over that.
“Do you ever take that thing off?” Harry questioned and looked back towards the field; the tone of his voice was virtually rude.
I raised an eyebrow, Harry had been slightly more bitter to me since the beginning of the year for no particular reason. “Yes, but I just happen to like it.” I saw Harry role his eyes and I glared lightly at him, I hated it when he acted this way. Last year I had saved his hide several times and this year I did nothing but worry about him and Cedric-the least he could do was try to at least act like I was his friend.
The wind blew harder and the abnormally cold air for that time of year whipped my hair causing it to loosen from the bun/ponytail it was in. I slipped the cloak off me and placed it on my lap as a pulled my sweater closer around me; it was an old sweater maybe one or two years old and slightly too small. I turned my head and looked at Harry, “What is wrong with you?” I said my tone slightly harsh but not as harsh as it should have been.Okay there probably could have been better ways at the time to put that, but that’s what came out.
“What?” Harry turned and looked at me-this time there was no jerk, only the true Harry-the one that had become my friend (or something close to that) last year.
“You’ve been acting like a jerk to me almost all year. If you continued this track I’d say you were turning into another Draco Malfoy.” I looked at him with my piercing eyes, I knew he hated it-he said it made him feel like I was burrowing deep inside him trying to find his secrets. Normally that would be true but I had learned to control my magic extremely from the last time I’d seen him.
He sighed and looked away from me-attempting to avoid my intense gaze. “I’m sorry for acting like that, Dragon.” That was the apology I had been waiting for; I had been waiting for the true Harry to come back. “I didn’t realize I was acting that way towards you.” I knew he was lying right through his teeth and that made me mad inside-he should have known he didn’t have to lie to me. “I’ll stop.”
I placed my hand upon his shoulder, “Why did you start?” That really was the question I wanted answered.
He lightly shrugged, “I don’t know.” I set my jaw at first but slowly relaxed and just kept biting my tongue-it was his decision whether or not he trusted me enough to tell me the truth.
“Oh,” I said after an outstretched silence, “Well….I just wanted to wish you good luck before the tournament, so….good luck, Harry.” I stood and began to walk down the stands.
Harry turned and looked at me, “Dragon,” He said and I turned to look at him, “thanks.”
I smiled at him, “You’re welcome, Harry.” I turned and headed back to the castle and smiled to myself as I felt him smiling at me as I walked off.

})i({ })i({ })i({

The third task seemed to go on forever, like it would never end. Finally only Harry and Cedric were left within the maze and no one knew where they were-no one but me. Everyone assumed they were still in the maze, possibly roaming and lost, but I knew better than that. I knew the last two people in that maze like I did my own brothers. Harry and Cedric were not lost, they weren’t lost because they were no longer within the maze-they were no longer at Hogwarts.
I closed my eyes and placed my fingers over my locket. My heart was pounding hard, probably harder than it should be. An eerie chill ran down my spine, searing pain ran through my right arm and everyone’s voices slowly disappeared. This had not happened since the beginning of this year and I didn’t want it happening now. I no longer felt the stands beneath me, I felt light-like I was flying. There was rain pouring all around me I could hear it but I could not feel it. Some one began saying my name, they were shaking me shoulder-I couldn’t feel it but I could tell. They shook harder this time and I just felt their finger tips on my shoulder, it was Ginny-I could tell-and she was saying my name over and over again.
Some how I brought myself out of the depths of my mind but not before something happened. As I did his face flashed before my closed eyes-Voldemort’s face-his snake like red eyes staring at me, my forehead seared-like Harry’s usually does. I snapped my eyes open I now knew I had gone into Harry’s head, I had seen what he was seeing and feeling what he was feeling. I was trembling-that itself was probably the reason for Ginny’s concerned-and I was drenched, I wasn't sure whether it was from rain or sweat.
“Dragon,” She said concerned as she stopped shaking my shoulder, “are you alright-what happened?” The concern that was inside her was easy to read-she was just as worried as I was, just about different things.
“Nothing,” I placed my forehead in my trembling hands, “it’s nothing, Ginny….I’m alright.” That part was not a total lie-I at the time was pretty much alright. Nausea swept me over but I fought it back and closed my eyes while breathing in through my nose.
I knew my eyes were normal and my nausea was not caused by their change in appearance-it was caused by seeing Voldemort’s face and feeling the pain I had felt.
There was a sudden scream-it sounded like something you’d see on one of though Muggle murder mystery TV shows. I snapped my head up at the blood curdling sound. Everyone was standing-everyone but me-I stood quickly and looked at what they were looking at; Harry had returned holding both the Triwizard cup and Cedric’s limp hand. I looked around no one was moving-not even the teachers, they were all staring at Harry-as if thinking he was a murderer. I immediately left Ginny’s side and ran down the stands-that was probably the last thing the teachers wanted any of us to do.
I ran over and knelt beside Harry, “Harry,” He looked in shock-un able to release Cedric’s hand or look away. I looked at Cedric he was dead that I couldn’t deny, I felt like a dead weight had settled in my stomach, tears burned the back of my throat but I held them there. I leaned over and gently released Harry’s grip off the cup, “Harry,” I repeated, “what happened?” I looked at him; I hoped he trusted me enough to tell me-to know that I didn’t think of him as a murderer.
“He’s dead.” Harry said and I saw tears roll down his cheeks. I could hear Dumbledore coming over and up behind us from his position on the stands.
I made sure Dumbledore and them were far enough away from us before I spoke, “I know you didn’t kill him, Harry.” I knew he thought people would think that so I had to tell him how I felt, “I know Voldemort did, Harry, and I know you aren’t capable of doing such a thing to anyone as good as Cedric.” He turned his head and looked at me, “It’s not your fault and I don’t hate you.” With those words I gently took his hand and released his grasp on Cedric. I then instinctively wrapped him in a hug, one like a mother would give to a son-I did not care if I wasn’t supposed to be down there or if I got detention-he was my friend, my innocent friend and I wasn’t going to let him feel like crap for something he could not have prevented.
Harry turned his head to look at me, “Dragon,” I looked at him, showing him he had my full and utter attention, “Thanks.” A light smile pressed on my face-of course it wasn’t a full one, the situation was far too sad for such a thing.

})i({ })i({ })i({

I rolled around in my bed, tossing and turning-I hadn’t dreamt of those things in such a long time. They were situations I had pushed to the back of my mind and far into my memory bank. I began to toss more, something that I shouldn’t be doing in my sleep-especially considering I slept in the top bunk right above Ron.
Voldemort’s face flashed before my eyes, his evil snake-like eyes staring at me, the evilest smirk upon his face I had ever seen, he reached out towards me, and he was speaking Parseltongue. He pulled his wand out and pointed it towards me, snakes entwined behind and they opened their mouths to show me their fangs. He said something I couldn’t hear and pain struck my entire body, my right arm seared and I couldn’t find any comfort all I could feel was pain, pain and my body shaking-shaking so hard it felt like I was in an earth quake.
“Meg, Meg, Meg-wake up!” I opened my eyes, Ron was shaking me, he looked concerned and an odd fear was within his eyes. I looked down at myself; I was twisted into a position that some one who was hit with the Cruciatus curse would be in. “Are you alright Meg-you were screaming like someone was killing you? I’m dead surprised mum and dad aren’t up here.”
I stretched lightly, my whole body hurt-I felt like I had been killed and brought back with the left over pain, “I’m fine.”
He must have seen through my lie because he sat on the edge of the bed. “What happened, Meg, you never scream in a dream unless evil’s in it but you’ve never screamed like that-now what is it.”
I sat up and looked down at my sheets; the quilt that rested on top of it had ‘Meygan’ embroidered across it. “It was just a series of events from the past couple years.” I said and slipped past him and went down the ladder till my feet rested on the floor. He followed me and stood beside me.
“That made you scream like you were being hit with the Cruciatus Curse?” Ron said and raised an eyebrow at me. I knew he didn’t believe one word I was saying but some how telling him strait out that I saw Voldemort’s face in my dream didn’t seem so appealing.
“….Yes…” At times lying wasn’t my strong point….especially after going through that dream. I turned and began getting together the clothing I was going to wear, the sun wasn’t up but I was not about to go back to sleep. I could hear running feet up the stairs-I guessed it was probably my parents; they had probably woken up to my screams and went to make sure Fred, George and Ginny were okay-I was about that last one they’d expect to hear screaming come from.
I laid my cloths out on the burrow next to Ron’s clothing just as dad opened the door. Mum pushed past him and hurried in; she looked more concerned than I had ever seen her-alright I had seen her that concerned a couple times, but not often. “Is everyone alright?”
I saw Ron about to open his mouth so I quickly respond, “Everything’s fine,” I paused trying to think up an excuse, “I was dreaming that,” I paused lightly once more, “I was getting tickled by Fred, George, Bill, Charlie, Ron and Percy all at once.” I knew it probably was not the most convincing excuse but it was one that made quite some sense-all of my brothers were big ticklers and after awhile I hated being tickled.
Ron turned his head and looked at me, I looked at him-locked eyes with him-and then looked back at my parents they all were staring at me. My father’s eyebrow was cocked-I could tell by the look on his face he did not believe me, Ron was staring at me sternly-like mum or dad (mostly mum) usually does if one of us does something wrong, Mum was just staring at me in such a way I didn’t dare try to analyze her thoughts. The silence was putting me on edge and the fact they were just staring at me did not help.
“Meygan.” My father said looking at me sternly and I lightly rolled my eyes. They were always over concerned about me-like I couldn’t handle myself. I picked up my clothing within my hands attempting to avoid an interrogation from my parents. “Meygan,” Dad repeated just as stern, “What was it really?”
I sighed trying to delay having to tell them, the thought of mum when she heard what I had seen and felt just tore me apart-I swear she’d never let me leave the house(or even step near Hogwarts-my dreams of being an Aurror would be down the the drain too)-I had never told them of the other on going’s at the school that had happened to me, my constant Trans’, the eyes-nothing-and I had sworn Ron to secrecy. The last thing I needed was mum panicking about me and my safety. “It was just a dream.” I said trying my best to convince them it was truly nothing.
“About what-what are they about, Meygan dear?” Mum asked her voice full of concern and a hint-a large hint-of panicking.
I looked at all of them, I dreaded telling them, I dreaded the reaction the whole family would have to it and my other experiences. I sat down on Ron’s bed, placed my clothes on my lap, placed my elbows on my legs, enfolded my hands and looked up at them, “Voldemort.” I saw the looks upon both my parents and Ron’s faces and I placed my forehead on my enfolded hands. My mother’s face had turned almost a stone grey and my father had to put his arms around her to steady her incase she felt ill-headed, my father’s face was grave but not grey and Ron’s was that of true and utter concern-something I saw from him rarely.
Mum released herself of dad’s grip and quickly hurried to me and put her arms around me, hugging me tight-almost too tight-as always. “Oh Merlin,” Mum murmured under her breath as she gently rocked me as if I was far more shook up than I was. “What happened,” She paused unsure if she truly wanted to know such a thing, “what did he do to make you scream like that.”
I let myself slip into my memory back and pull out the image, “He just appeared at the end of my dream-I had been dreaming of Cedric’s death and then suddenly his face appeared. He was smirking and his eyes were bright red,” I paused feeling my mother tremor which was quite unlike her normally strong self, “He reached out towards me while speaking Parseltongue, then he pulled out his wand, snakes appeared entwined behind him with their fangs showing, he then said something I couldn’t hear and I was just in a lot of pain-all over.” I left out my arm-that was probably not the best thing to include after that.
“Oh Merlin, Merlin, Merlin.” Mum said a loud while rocking me once more. “Dear Merlin why?” she muttered this time.
“Mum, it’s fine really-it’s not that unusual.” I said and pulled myself away gently so I could breathe better. I saw the look of terror in my mother’s eyes at my word’s-perhaps now had not been the right time to say that.
Dad walked over as mum muttered ‘oh bless us heavens’ and then something having to do with Merlin once more. Dad knelt in front of me and placed his hands on my knees while looking me right in the eye, he always seemed to treat me older than mum did and at this moment I was quite thankful for that. “Meygan,” Dad began and I felt Ron sit down next to me; his presence came across strongly as the protective older brother at this time. Ron looked from dad to me several times before dad continued. “Meygan, what did you mean by it not being unusual?”
His eyes looked strait into mine and I let my defenses down-these were my parents and I could not with-hold information from them any longer it was not right. I sighed and looked down at my hands trying to figure out how I would tell them, “Listen,” I began and looked up at my parents, “there’s been some things that have happened at Hogwarts that I haven’t told you-quite a few things-things I should have informed you about a long time ago…” I took a deep breath and told them everything.
By the time I finished mum looked like she was about to have a heart attack. "I knew sending her to Hogwarts was a bad idea." Mum turned and looked at dad-as if this whole occurence was his fault.
"Mum," I interjected, "I'm fine-besides-he hasn't seen me."
"But he knows you're alive!" Mum through her hands up in a helpless gesture. "What we've been trying to avoid."
"It was bound to happen, mum, Harry is around here a lot-it's not his fault though. The fact is I'm getting older and sooner or later Voldemort would realize I was not dead." I knew telling her was a mistake.
"I'd have preferred later," She turned to look at my dad, "What are we to do Arthur!"
Dad looked at me and I got a dreaded feeling some part of him sided with mum. Oh god did I think that I had seen the last sight of daylight. "Meygan," dad said firmly, "you should have told us about this. You know how dangerous this is." okay yes-I did know and yes I should of...but hey I'm not perfect and never have been. "At this point school is," 'oh dear god no,no,no,no,no,no-please don't let him say out of the question' I thought, "absolutely on the menu." Okay so it was not what I was expecting and I could tell-by the look on her face-mum felt the same way as I did.
"Arthur!" Mum shrilled, "A student was killed last year-killed! It's no longer a safe place for her, for any of them-how could you say such a thing!"
"Molly," Dad began, "It's best if she learns how to protect herself properly-it's best if they all do-that way if some thing happens they can be safe." Dad glanced at me and Ron and I swear I saw him smirk-he was on our side.
"Arthur," Mum said sternly-I could tell this was getting far too heated. "Voldemort knows, he knows-nothing can protect them from him-from the killing curse!"
"Molly," Dad said he was trying his best to comfort her and keep me and my siblings in school.
Ron and I glanced at each other, both thinking the same thing-'time to go' with that we quietly stood, snatched our clothing and snuck out of them room and down stairs just as arguing began again. Both of us sighed thankfully and looked at each other-him and I did have our moments, our moments where we wanted nothing more than to rip each other's throats out but underneath it all we loved each other (well you know in that brother/sister way) and that bond would never change.
We entered the kitchen only to find that Fred, George and Ginny were all sitting at the kitchen table still dressed in pajamas and drinking tea. They looked up at us, "Oy," George said, "Mum and dad having a bloody fight again?"
Ron and I looked at each other, "Yeah, kind of." I said and sat next to Ginny.
"Not surprising," Fred said and opened a piece of chewing gum he had been storing in his pajama's pocket, "this house has been far too quiet." He finished popping it into his mouth.
"What's it about this time?" George inquired while looking at Ron and I as if something about us was suspicious.
This time I looked at Ron and he just glanced at me, "School, our safety...me," I said as Ron picked up a magazine, he must have been thinking the same thing as I was-our room was permanently shut off till daylight, this argument was far from over. "Nothing unusual." I motioned for Fred and George to cough up one of the many candies and sweets they had been hiding in there pajamas and George tossed me one. I bite into it and the taste of lavender and vanilla filled my mouth, I smiled satisfactorily at the taste.
Ginny surveyed me with her eyes, I just glanced at her-it made me uncomfortable when they did that, it was like they were trying to read through me or something. "What was the screaming about?"
"Yeah," George popped a sweet into his mouth, "What was that about?"
Ron poked his face out of his Quidditch magazine, "why am I the only one without a sweet?!" I smirked and glanced over at Ginny-he was right-she was chewing on her own sweet.
Fred rolled his eyes and tossed him one, "There you go oaf," He looked at both of us, "now spill."
"Nothing really," Ron said popping the sweet into his mouth. I looked at him a twinkle in my eye-it was my own form of a smile at the moment, he was covering for me and I was thankful. He glanced at me and under the magazine I saw him smirk back though I knew he tried to hide it from me.
Ginny looked from us to the ceiling and back, "That's what they're arguing about isn't it?"
I sucked on the candy again and nodded, "Yeah."
"If it's nothing than why would they fight about it?" George said keenly.
"Okay..." I said and looked at the three of them, "Listen," I saw Ron look at me, he was shocked I'd even bring this up-I never liked putting my problems on others shoulders, "I'll tell you but you have to promise me-promise-promise the most you ever have that you will not breathe a word to anyone unless I, Ron or mum and dad say it's alright."
"This must be good." Fred said anxiously and they all leaned in. I took a deep breath and began my long and at times not so pleasant explanation of tonight and the past couple years.

Clip from the up coming Chapter 2:

I sat down stairs curled up on the couch staring at the fire, watching the embers intently. I heard footsteps but did not jump or spook like some, I just sat and kept on staring.
"Hey," Harry said as he sat down next to me.
I turned and looked at him while pulling the throw that was keeping me somewhat warm closer, "I thought you'd be with Ron, Hermione and Ginny."
"I decided to come downstairs," he looked at me and then glanced down at his hands, within them were two mugs of hot chocolate. "I was thirsty and thought you might like some." I smiled at him, "What are you doing down here anyway? Kind of lonely isn't it?"
I lightly shrugged and looked back at the fire, "I suppose, but I just felt like...like thinking." I looked back at Harry and our eyes met. For once I felt like more than just 'Ron's sister' around him, to me he felt like my friend. I released my eyes from his and looked back at the embers, "Thanks." I said as he handed me my hot chocolate.
"Meygan," He began. I narrowed my eyes lightly at the embers but bit my tongue and took a sip of the hot chocolate(which happened to taste very good)-I'd let it slid...this time. "Meygan, listen," It sounded like he was searching for words-something I had rarely ever seen him do. ".......I know what's been going on with you...Ron told me. He told me everything."

There you go! Sorry about the length-and sorry if there are spoilers*curls up in corner and hides* I tried not to I swear!

RANDOM MOMENT!

A SPUR OF THE MOMENT POEM ABOUT WRITING RANTS.
bylaurenreynolds.

A long time ago there was a girl named Anna
On who we've bestowed the word 'pants'.
She clicked here and clicked there and all over everywhere
Until she founded the blog "Writing Rants".

This blog was not normal, no, not at all,
Which is probably why this poem's there,
So Katie and Lauren and Keila as well,
Each decided their writings to share.

There were stories of magic, and love, and hate,
and some of them were a hoot!
With Corin, and Legolas, and Jeremy, too,
Reality's nothing -- these guys are CUTE!

It's been almost ten months now since the site was made,
(This is the SIXTIETH post!!),
But no matter how bad our writing gets,
It's you guys that I love the most.

:D
IT MAKES NO SENSE! BWAHAHA!
Okay, so it does make some, but it's chunky.
Omgash. I love it. xD

♥ Lauren.

My Poem

Okay, I know this is totally random, but this afternoon I wrote this poem. I initially wanted to post it because there was a part I didnt like, but while I was typing it up I just fixed it!!! Thats so cool. So here it is.

The heat makes me restless,
My pounding head only eased
By little gusts of wind.

The sky's a blinding gray,
Glaring like a washed out sun,
Some rain would give us hope.

Night reveals no coolness,
Black makes shadows of all things,
Stars smother under clouds.

Its a night for reading,
Dont notice when it changes,
A cool breeze is coming.

I lift my head and see,
The yard is full of moonlight,
Dancing among the trees.

The wind wraps around me,
Pushing away my worries,
I join the moon and dance.

The only thing is, are stars really under clouds? Their technically above it, so should I change it? :D But that doesnt really matter. This is like the first poem I've actually revised. And its alot better revised then it was when I first wrote it!

ANYWAYS.
KEEP WRITING! I'll be home in three days and hopefully, before I collapse, I'll get to email/post again!!!
Anywaysss....
I've got to kind of keep this short - There's a LINE FOR THE INTERNET. Ugh.
Alright - I'll admit it. I haven't written ANYTHING while I've been in Europe, which is really depressing and should be possibly considered as a deep dark sin.

Random Free Writings!

'Ello people! LOL! So as I have stated in comments I am taking a writing course(which so far is awesome!) Well in it we have to Free Write(for all of you who know what that is) and the ones I have done truly fit my book charactors and I may possibly be shifting the point of view and such and slipping them into my book, or some would be journal entries(the last one is especiall a journal entry lol) They are completely unedited and I can already pick up on some mistakes but at this point I'm over riding it....so yeah, unedited, all go with my story.....might be a bit confusing....but here it goes! :)

Here they are:

His face was stern, his eyes hard, he looked like a block of ice frozen in time to preserve it's denseness. The presence around him was hard and extremely powerful-so powerful it almost knocked you off your feet.

He walked toward me but I did not quiver, I stood tall and strong as he glared at me with all intensity of hatrid. I narrowed my gazr as well though I was not full of hate even though I had full right to be. He had taken so much from me and everyone else, he deserced any punishment he'd ever get. Even though he would deserve punishment-if he ever got it-I could not help but feel slightly sorry for him and his younger brother-not to mention the planet they rule-anyone who could kill innocent lives and not regret it must be sick beyond doctor's care.

The scar over his left eye and cheek blazed as his glare intesified. I knew he hated me and I knew how much he wished to kill me; let him try I wouldn't be afraid to fight back. I had learned not to fear him or anyone one else from living on this planet. All around this planet there was hate, even the creatures show hate, most of them anyway-my dragon Emerald in an exception as to my fiance's dogs.

The man got into my face trying hard to intimidate me, if I had the chance and I knew there were no consiquences for neither me or my family I'd have laughed.

"You scared?" His voice snarled close to my face and this time I almost couldn't help it. The corner of my lips twitched with the want to laugh or smile but somehow, with some control I with held. I didn't fear him, I could be as strong as he if I desired and I could make him fear me but I've never tried because I knew what that would do to my fiance and child. They would be hunted down like animals and slautered without another thought by my uncle and I could no bare the thought of that ever happening. "I said are you scared?!" He demanded again in a snarling voice while raising his voice. I remained silent, I was walking the edge of life and death and i knew it and I knew I should answer him but I suppose something within the genes in my blood running through my vaines had other ideas. "Do you know the trouble you're in my boy!" He spat. Yes, yes I did, more than ever and I knew the consequences of my actions more than ever too. "How Dare you try and stop us from doing a course of action, from doing our job." Somehow killing people didn't seem like much of a job to me, "I'd have your head for such treachory boy." I knew how true it was but all I did was smirk, it looked as mischevious and evil as he was.

I could see the fire burning within him as I did so and some part of my liked seeing that fire-liked that danger. "But you can't-not now." I paused slyly, watching that fire blaze, "Seidon refused the crown to continue working in the army and with uncle," I paused once more while watching his face as I spoke my brothers name. My brother who was just as evil as he, "The means," I continued, "I'm the only one who can take it when you die," I paused one last time smirking even more mischeviously as I watched the horror rised within my fathers face at that thought, "Father." I spat out keeping all tone of happiness from my voice. I was not happy he was my father but I was happy I had annoyed him, I had bothered him just like usual but yet I was almost past the line of no return-any other remarks and I would not have my head by morning. My father hated that I was his blood and he liked to think I wasn't his son but there was no denying it anymore, now that I was the one and only sole heir to the crown.

'When I look up at the sky watching the stars quessing what's in what constalation I look back on when everything was so simple and I was so curious. How much have I changed? How much have I grown from that girl I used to be? I'm still the same girl just with more things around me I love and love me back.

As I lay here looking up at the constilations I think of how calming it is to know that my friends and family are always there for me no matter what.

As I lay here under the stars gazing up at their beauty, a shooting star whizzes past and I give a silent prayer and wish, one for my family, friends, and thoughs in need of safety. For the galliant warriors fighting on any planet or galaxy to return to their homes safe and sound.

My wish is one I know won't happen now at least not for a few years, but my wish is for intergalactical peace and love. Peace and love everywhere, everyone getting a long, no violance. Nothing but peace and surenity. Some day, some where, some how, by the will of the gods perhaps, you will see it, it will happen. Even if it starts when you're laying under the stars gazing upward in awe at their beauty'

'I've realized I have an extremely strong voice in the Senate which is kind of odd because I'm what....15? Anywho, it's still really odd because they all listen to me unlick in the Army school where half the time I'm ignored by these jerks or shoved down the hall by impatiant or tall people. Kinda odd how sometimes you can be so invisible but yet so there and noticed at the same time. It's also really annoying too. I'm also a tad clumsy so that doesn't help me at all. I seem to have picked up a trait of being the last out of class but yet still ending up in a mob of impatiant people trying not to be late for class. Anyone ever notice that around here monday seems to be the more crowded of the days like more people seem to be in the halls or something? It's so darn congested. Garretts being a jerk again-not that that's a surprise or anything-it's just in his nature. Perhaps it comes from his father-he's pretty jerkish himself-my luck he's my Lord.....Oh well, the upside is I have all my friends here and not everyone here hates me-I'm sure more upsides will come. Well bell rang which means lights out "or else" though I've never heard of anyone ever getting the "or else" probably just a way for the Lords to get the kids and teens to go to sleep quicker. Another fun filled day tomorrow.....hopefully :)
