She actually writes! :O

I am FINALLY getting my butt to posting some of my script... Basically unedited still, and it's only been what, two months?
Sigh.
I need to get myself in order. But hey, here's a start. So this is just some bits close to the end focusing on Kusses story because I couldn't figure out what to do without posting the whole ending which would be super long. So the first part we have is after Sam's brother is killed in action he shuts himself in his room and the play can't be finished. Jake, the evil backstage hand, decides to tell Allie, the director, what he and Tom did. (Switch the cast lists.) The second part picks up after a bit of stuff with Sam, which I cut out, and Geena has forgiven Tom because he sold his guitar to get Sam the hearing aid he needs. Therefore she tries to talk to Kuss for him. And in case you wonderful people don't recall, Kusse's mother commited suicide. And... I'm not giving you the ending because I don't feel like it. So if you want the whole script just ask for it. Enjoy my loves. :P

Part One

ALLIE
(Angrily)
Tom! I need to talk to you.

TOM nervously walks over, and GEENA and KUSS exchange looks, before following him.

TOM
(Squeakily)
How can I be of service?

ALLIE
Jake’s just told me something very disturbing.

TOM
Oh?

ALLIE
Tell me strait. Did you switch the cast list with a list of random kids from the school?

GEENA and KUSS gasp.

TOM
I...

He gives KUSS a tortured look. She glares at him.

TOM
Yes. Yes I did.

GEENA
Tom!

KUSS draws in her breath and takes a step back from him.

TOM
But I swear I wasn’t the one who came up with it, Jake made the whole list, and I wasn’t going to go through with it except Tina-

KUSS shakes her head angrily and walks away.

TOM
(Taking a few steps after her)
Kuss! Wait, please-

She slams the door behind her. GEENA is staring at him with horror, as he turns back to ALLIE.

ALLIE
(Shaking her head)
You were the one backstage hand I actually thought I could depend on!

GEENA
(Whispering)
You put ME on that list?

TOM
(To GEENA)
No! Jake did it, I had no idea you were on there until it was too late! Believe me, Geena...

GEENA
I thought you’d changed.

She walks away, following KUSS, and TOM starts after her but stops, defeated.

JAKE
Well now that you know, we can get another copy of the original cast list and just fill in the kids.

TOM
(Appalled at the idea)
But all our work!

ALLIE
Jake, you’re failing drama. I know you’re the one who came up with the idea. But Tom, I expected more of you. You should’ve told from the start.

JAKE
What?!

TOM
I know, I just... it happened so fast.

JAKE
You’re blaming ME for this?

ALLIE
(Deadpan)
Yes. And by the way, Jake. I’m engaged.
(She holds up her hand, which is sporting a brand new diamond)

JAKE opens and closes his mouth several times in indignation, then runs out of the auditorium. TOM faces ALLIE.

TOM
You should fail me, too.

ALLIE
I should. But I’m not going to.
(She pats him on the shoulder with unexpected fairness)
Good luck getting Kuss back.

She turns and gathers her stuff, leaving. TOM stands there, then jerks himself awake and runs out the door himself.

EXT. IN FRONT OF KUSSES HOUSE - DAY

TOM comes running up the path, skidding to a halt at the front door. He knocks, but no one comes to the door, so he goes around to KUSSES window and throws rocks at it. She comes to the window, looks down at him, and very deliberately closes the curtains. His shoulders slump, but he runs around to the front again and this time just goes in.

INT. KUSSES HALLWAY - DAY

TOM tries KUSSES bedroom door, but it’s locked.

TOM
Kuss?

KUSS O.S.
Get the hell out.

TOM
Okay, I know you’re mad at me. I’m so sorry, I never meant...

KUSS
(Yanking the door open suddenly)
What did you never mean? Did you think the kids you used weren’t going to CARE they were just props in a practical joke? Did you even think that maybe those kids actually were people too?!

TOM
(Shaken)
I... No. You’re right. I suck.

KUSS
You more then suck, Tom.

TOM
I know it was a really stupid thing, but I’ve changed-

KUSS
(Close to tears she’s so angry)
For once in my life I actually thought someone might have seen something in me, something I didn’t even know about! And then I find out it was all lies, lies told to me by someone I thought was my friend! There’s only one thing I have to say to you.

She pauses, and TOM braces himself, not going to try to fight it.

KUSS
(Softly)
Goodbye.

She goes back in her room and closes the door, and TOM spins around and punches the wall.

TOM
Idiot!

He rests his head against the wall, nursing his hand.

EXT. IN FRONT OF GEENA’S HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON

TOM drives in the drive way and stops, resting his head against the steering wheel. He looks up at his tree house, then quickly gets out of the car and climbs up, pulling out his guitar, and starting to play. In the window, GEENA watches him.

INT. SHAMUSHA HIGH CAFETERIA - DAY

TOM comes into the busy cafeteria, lugging his guitar and a mike, looks around the room for KUSS, who is sitting with GEENA. He walks over to a lady at the counter, who’s giving him a look. After he talks to her for a moment, she nods, and he goes to the front of the cafeteria, quickly setting up his mike and getting out his guitar. People start watching him curiously, but KUSS refuses to look at him.

TOM
(Into the mike)
Testing...

He clears his throat, then starts playing and singing, some popular gorgeous song that’s basically an apology, and/or love song. He looks at KUSS the whole time, obviously singing it to her, and the kids turn around one by one to see who he’s looking at. The song ends, and there’s a pause before the entire room bursts into applause. His eyes are on only one person though, and she gets up and walks toward him. The room hushes.

KUSS
(Frostily)
How original.

His face caves as she walks out of the cafeteria.

Part Two


INT. GEENA’S ROOM - DAY

GEENA is watching a movie when a knock comes on the door. She leaps up and opens it, revealing KUSS.

KUSS
Why am I here?

GEENA
(Ignoring this)
Come on in.

She stops the movie, and turns and looks at Kuss expectantly until she steps into the room.

KUSS
I have things to do you know...

GEENA
Yeah, well, right now you need to listen to me.

KUSS
If this is about Tom-

GEENA
It’s not.

KUSS raises an eyebrow.

Well, it is. But it’s about Sam too. It’s about all of us.

KUSS
How deep.

GEENA
Kuss, listen to me! Sam needs help.

KUSS
(Seriously)
I know.

GEENA
And we’re the only ones who can help him. But we’re going to have to do it together, which means-

KUSS
No.

GEENA
Then Sam is going to vanish into his room and never return. Is that what you want?

KUSS
No! But you can’t expect me to just forgive him, Tom I mean. I actually thought he was a good guy. He tricked us all!

GEENA
He IS a good guy.

KUSS
You’re just saying that because he’s your brother.

GEENA
A couple months ago I barely considered him my brother, now he’s my best friend. Come on, Kuss. He did something really stupid, but you can’t pretend you’ve never messed up before! He’s just HUMAN.

KUSS
(Opening and closing her mouth several times in indecision.)
There’s no way I can trust him again.

GEENA
(Frustrated)
Why? Why can’t you?

KUSS
BECAUSE.

GEENA
You HAVE to give him another chance!

KUSS
Why?! Why do I have to do anything?!

GEENA
BECAUSE HE’S IN LOVE WITH YOU.

KUSS sucks in her breath, going pale.

KUSS
(Whispers)
Really?

GEENA
And you’re in love with him!

KUSS
(Terrified)
No.

She abruptly turns to run away, but GEENA grabs her arm.

GEENA
What are you so afraid of?

KUSS
(Super angrily but starting to cry)
The last person I loved DIED because I wasn’t there for her!

GEENA gasps, and starts to cry herself.

GEENA
It wasn’t your fault.

KUSS
Who’s fault was it then?

She locks eyes with GEENA, then turns and crashes out the door.

EXT. GEENA’S HOUSE - DAY

KUSS comes crashing out of the Steringtons home. It’s raining. She runs down the walk, crying. We follow her as she runs down the road into town, the rain getting harder and harder. Music is playing. She finally arrives back at her house, and runs strait into her Dad, who is coming in from the car. He stops and stares at her in surprise.

MR. STOTLEMEYER
Karie?

KUSS
(Still crying)
Why did she kill herself dad?

INT. GEENA’S ROOM - DAY

GEENA is standing at her window, watching KUSS go, and looking upset. TOM comes crashing through her door.

TOM
Was that...?

GEENA
Yes.

TOM
What happened?

GEENA
Just go find her Tom. She needs you.

TOM looks at her for a moment, then nods and leaves quickly.

EXT. IN FRONT OF KUSSES HOUSE - CONTINOUS

KARIE
WHY’D SHE DO IT?!

MR. STOTLEMEYER
(Grabbing her shoulders)
I DON’T KNOW! She was never the same after we lost the baby, Karie. There was nothing we could do.

KUSS
(Pulling away)
Baby?

MR. STOTLEMEYER
(Looking stricken)
I thought I told you... your mother miscarried when you were five. We thought it better not to tell you, but she went into depression...

KUSS
(Quietly)
Then it wasn’t even about me...

MR. STOTLEMEYER
What? Of course not!

KUSS
(Smacking him on the chest, even more upset)
Why didn't you ever TELL me?!

MR. STOTLEMEYER
(Startled)
I... I always blamed myself. It didn’t occur to me you would do the same.

KUSS
(Crying even harder)
That’s a bunch of-

MR. STOTLEMEYER
Karie...

MR. STOTLEMEYER suddenly steps forward and hugs her tight. She tries to pull away but he holds on, and she eventually gives in, and cries into him.

EXT. THE BEACH - A LITTLE WHILE LATER

It’s stopped raining, but clouds still threaten. KUSS is standing in front of the ocean, looking out. TOM suddenly comes driving up in his car, parks quickly and gets out, standing above and looking down at Kuss. He jumps into the sand and slowly walks to her, her back is still to him. He hesitates, then walks up and just wraps his arms around her. She isn’t surprised, for she knew he was there, but turns around to look at him quietly. He reaches out and wipes traces of tears off her face. She puts her head on his shoulder and they simply hug.

After this things get happy again as they decide to save Sam... But guys. I STILL NEED A TITLE!
