Heaven

Here tis, my version of heaven. Or, at least, the very vague outline of one of them. It's probably not going to make any sense to anyone except me, but oh well. It's nice to imagine. :) And I'm gonna quiz you on it, so pay attention!

I’m on a beach.
This is the first thing I realize when I open my eyes.
The sun is setting, the water a stunning aqua blue, the sand so white it almost hurts my eyes. There is a church up ahead, plopped in the middle of the beach, like someone’s dropped it there. I can hear something like roaring coming from inside, and find myself walking to the little white church. A blue eyed, bearded young man greets me and hands me a golden ticket. His smile is so infectious, I can’t help grinning back. I step inside the church.
I’m awash in the sudden atmosphere of a rock concert. Hoards of people pulse around me, hands raised in the air, singing along, jumping like nothing else matters. The music is excellent, and I find myself nodding along automatically. The lights are blinking blue and white, but I can somehow see the band perfectly. There are quite a few of them, but who captures me is the lead singer. There’s nothing really remarkable about him; he’s wearing a white tee shirt and blue jeans, and his hair isn’t even in a crazy Mohawk or anything of the sort. But there’s something about his eyes that makes my heart just sizzle, and there seems to be almost a light shining off him, he looks so happy. A guy squeezes in next to me, and I smile at him, realizing who he is - my very own hubby. He smiles back, and takes my hand, squeezing it.
I start singing along with the music, but suddenly realize the lead singer is looking strait at me. I lean over to yell in my hubby's ear.
“Is that...?”
He grins. “You bet.”
“Wow.”
“Yeah. Wow.”
The singer hands his mic to another member of the band, and jumps off the stage, walking towards me. My hands start shaking with excitement, and I don’t know what to do when he gets to me, but I don’t have to decide. He simply stops, and smiles.
“I’m so glad you could come,” he says, and steps forward, giving me the most amazing hug of my life. It fills me with such a rush of love, I can’t breath for a moment. He turns and goes back to the stage, touching people here and there as he moves through the crowd, and I watch him, feeling the real meaning of awe.
My hubby wraps his arms around me, and I start singing along again, hardly even noticing the tears coursing down my face.
Well, I think. Being dead ain’t half bad.

SoSO guys, anyone know who the lead singer is?? :P

And yeah um... that's all. Kbye.

P.S. Btw, I expect the comment number to be going up. The lack we have had is totally not acceptable guys, especially when certain people (LAUREN) don't even comment at all! REALLY! SHAME!
:D

Oh um yeah... this is Anna. Eheh.

Frenzy laughs

So yes, I was going to wait to post this until I had done the challenge, but I just decided to do it now. First off is the first scene/part of my movie. This is the THIRD version of it, and its still too fast in places so bear with me.

Credits start

JUMP between the credits and the scene.

EXT.  A FUNERAL IN A GRAVEYARD - DAY

A large group of people clad in black are standing around a coffin. The preacher speaks but you cant hear him because of the song, Hello by Evanescence. MOM is crying into DADS shoulder. KATARINA is staring blankly. It starts to rain and Katarina walks away.

Katarina is 14, she has brown hair and green eyes. She looks sad all the time and hides within herself.

A BELL RINGS one month later.

INT.  A CLASSROOM - AFTERNOON

KATARINA jumps, then begins to gather her books. Everyone around her is talking but she ignores them. You see her MOM waiting outside the door. Katarina doesn't see and walks past her.

INT.  THE HALL - AFTERNOON

People stream past her. KATARINA walks to the door then remembers her MOM, turning around. Her mom is talking to a TEACHER softly.

        TEACHER
Katarina's grades really have been dropping. If you could talk to her…

        MOM
    I'll try.

MOM walks towards KATARINA.

MOM has short brown hair and a frantic look, she is at her wits end with everything that has been happening.

INT.  IN THE CAR - AFTERNOON

MOM is driving tensely, KATARINA stares out the window.

        MOM
    (sighs)
Katarina, I know its been a very hard time for you lately. But your school work is     really suffering your teacher said. If you could just try a bit--

        KATARINA
    (turns abruptly)
Are any of us really trying, mom?

They pull into the parking lot, a large white building is in front of them.

        MOM
We all are trying very hard, you know that Katarina.
    (Impatiently)
Do you think its any easier for me than for you?

        KATARINA
    Mom- just- don't.

KATARINA opens the car door and gets out, slams the car door. MOM watches her enter the white building with a frustrated expression.

INT.  DR. DIMOND'S OFFICE - AFTERNOON

KATARINA is slumped on a couch, Dr. Dimond is pacing in front of her. He is a short, balding man. The room is modern and white. Dr. Dimond has been talking for a while.

        DR. DIMOND
…this is only our second session, and its so soon after, but I feel like we aren't     making any progress. I've consulted other doctors in the business and they gave     me some advice. I think what we need to do is really talk about the subject, you     never talk when you're here.

KATARINA's P.O.V. she is watching Dr. Dimond's shoes throughout his whole speech, the shoes go back and forth, back and forth. Then you see her, her eyes are slowly closing. DR. DIMOND finally notices.

        DR. DIMOND
    Katarina? Katarina? Are you awake?

        KATARINA
    (Innocently, her eyes opening)
Oh I'm so sorry, Dr. Dimond. I think I missed all of that.

        DR. DIMOND
    (Sighing)
What I said was, I think we need to talk about what happened. Communication is     a big part of therapy-

        KATARINA
(Suddenly alive, leaning forward, her eyes narrowed.)
    I. Don't. Want. To. Talk. About. It.

        DR. DIMOND
Well what do you want? You're making no effort whatsoever to do anything.

        KATARINA
    (Quietly)
I just want things to go back to the way they were before.

KATARINA stares out the window.

INT.  KATARINA'S ROOM - AFTERNOON

Katarina is slumped on her desk, a history book open before her. Her head is on her hands as she listens to shouting O. S.

        MOM
And now on top of everything else, Katarina's going to fail ninth grade!

        DAD
    (quieter)
Its just a slump, she'll get through it.

        MOM
You're always saying that! You're always going easy on people!

        DAD
Would you rather I blamed everyone like you?

KATARINA sighs and puts her head on the table, knocking over a pile of papers. She bends to pick them up and notices a picture on the bottom of the stack.

The Phone Rings O. S and MOM answers it.

She picks it up and looks at it. It's a picture of the family a year ago, all of them smiling and happy. Katarina picks up scissors and is thinking about slicing through Shira's head but stops at the last moment. She looks at the picture sadly.

MOM knocks softly and enters. KATARINA straightens up, surprised, and hastily turns the picture so Mom cant see it.

        MOM
Katarina? The neighbors just called, they're having a cousin over for a few days     so they want to know if you'll be fine with baby-sitting one extra.

        KATARINA
    Its fine.

MOM leaves and KATARINA looks at the picture.

INT.  NEIGHBORS LIVINGROOM - NIGHT

KATARINA walks into the living room and sets down her backpack next to the couch. She sits down as BOY ONE goes screaming past the door, being chased by BOY TWO who goes charging after him. Katarina zips open the backpack as KEENAN pokes his head around the door. Keenan is seven, with sandy blonde hair. He's very intelligent looking.

        KEENAN
    Hi, you're Rina right?

        KATARINA
    (Faintly annoyed)
    It's Kat.

KATARINA reaches for the book in the backpack.

        KEENAN
But Rina is what your sister calls you, isn't it?

KATARINA freezes, her next words difficult.

        KATARINA
    Called. And yes.

KATARINA looks up at him, her eyes full of restrained pain.

        KATARINA (cont.)
    When did you know her?

KEENAN comes in the room and perches on the edge of a big chair, his legs swinging.

        KEENAN
    I met her yesterday.

KATARINA nearly drops her book which is in her hand.

        KATARINA
What? You couldn't have. She's dead.

        KEENAN
She did say you'd say that…

        KATARINA
    (Astonished, skeptically)
Let me go over this. You think you met my dead sister yesterday?

        KEENAN
Well it wasn't her of course, it was her ghost.

        KATARINA
Her ghost? This is too crazy. You're crazy.

KATARINA gets up and goes to the door. KEENAN calls after her.

        KEENAN
Don't you want to talk to her?

        KATARINA
    (Firmly)
No. Especially as she is a figment of your imagination.

KATARINA stalks out of the room.

INT.  NEIGHBORS KITCHEN - NIGHT

KATARINA sits at the table, trying to concentrate on her book. In the background are sounds of Boy One and Boy Two fighting, but she cant concentrate because of what Keenan has just told her.

KATARINA looks up from the page, her mind is in another place. Her face is skeptical, but then it goes thoughtful. No doubt she is wondering what she would say to her sister if she had the chance.

Finally realizing that she isn't reading, KATARINA snaps her gaze back to the page. After a moment of intent staring she sighs, frustrated, and snaps the book shut.

KEENAN appears in the kitchen doorway.

        KATARINA
    Still think you're seeing ghosts?

        KEENAN
Yup. Shira's in that chair, if you were wondering.

KEENAN points to the chair opposite from Katarina. KATARINA looks at it and shivers a little bit.

        KEENAN (cont.)
She's been watching you. She really wants you to believe me, you know.

        KATARINA
    I'm never going to.

        KEENAN
There might be a way I can prove it to you…

        KATARINA
    (Unnerved)
    Prove it to me?

KEENAN looks at her carefully and makes a decision. He walks forward.

        KEENAN
I'll have to do it. You wont believe me any other way.

KATARINA gets up from her chair, nervous at Keenan's words.

        KATARINA
    Wait, wait. Do what?

KEENAN simply reaches over the space between them and takes KATARINA'S hand. Abruptly the ghost of SHIRA appears. Katarina half-shrieks, putting a hand to her mouth.

        KATARINA
    (A little hysterically)
What did you do to me? Am I crazy too now?

        KEENAN
Of course not. I'm not crazy either. Taking your hand just shows you what I see.

KATARINA is not really listening, she is staring at the ghost of Shira.

        KATARINA
Are you actually there? Is this actually your ghost, Shira?

        SHIRA
Yes, Rina. This is actually the ghost of me.

KATARINA stares at the ghost of Shira for a long moment, Shira stares back sadly.

Shira is seventeen with long black hair and green eyes, she is wearing stylish and a little bit punky black clothes.

Finally Katarina can speak, the shock is wearing off and she remembers what she's wanted to say for this past month.

        KATARINA
    (Quietly)
Why'd you do it, Shira? Why'd you have to go and kill yourself and ruin all our     lives?

        SHIRA
    (Sadly)
    Look- about that-- I'm sorry.

        KATARINA
    (Getting a little angry)
You'd better be. Do you have any idea how messed up my life is now?

        SHIRA
    (Softly)
Yes. I do. I'm here the whole time, Rina, even though you cant see me.

KATARINA is a little taken aback by this information but she continues.

        KATARINA
Look, I don't know why you wanted to talk to me, but can you please explain     about your death? It's just about been driving me crazy.

        SHIRA
I really do want to explain, but we don't have that much time. I did want to talk to     you for a reason though. Can you please give someone a message for me?

        KATARINA
    Why should I?

        SHIRA
    (Exasperated)
Because I'm your sister. And now that you have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to     talk to her ghost, you wont do her a tiny little favor because you're too worked up     over her death.

        KATARINA
    Suicide.

SHIRA winces at the word, and they stare at each other with folded arms, their faces unrelenting. Finally KATARINA gives in.

        KATARINA
Fine. I'll take your message, and then you explain. But after that I never want to     see your face again. Whatever your reason is, I'm sure its not good enough.

        SHIRA
    (Sadly)
     Alright. Thanks, Rina.

KATARINA ignores her and picks up a pen and piece of paper. SHIRA disappears as Katarina lets go of KEENAN'S hand, she starts, then shrugs it off. She takes Keenan's hand again and Shira appears.

        KATARINA
    What's the message?

        SHIRA
The message is 'They know we exist but nothing else.'

KATARINA gives SHIRA a strange look but writes it down. Shira abruptly disappears and then appears again.

        KATARINA
Who do I give it to?

        SHIRA
Alec Xaner. He lives in New York City.

        KATARINA
    What's his phone number?

        SHIRA
    I don't think he has a phone.

        KATARINA
    (Annoyed)
I'll have to go there? No way.

        SHIRA
Please? It's only two hours away.

        KATARINA
    How would I get there?

        KEENAN
I know! I live in Trenton, between here and there. When I go back on Saturday     you can offer to go with me on the bus, pretending to visit someone in Trenton.     Then we'll go past it to New York, call my Dad and say we had to catch a later     bus, give Alec the message, then go back to Trenton.

        KATARINA
    (Impressed)
That actually might work. Are you always this smart?

KEENAN grins.

        SHIRA
He lives on Graham street, number 76.

KATARINA writes it down, SHIRA disappears and then appears again.

        SHIRA
    Thank you, really. It's important.

        KATARINA
    Whatever.

O. S. is the sound of the front door opening and closing. BOY ONE and BOY TWO come running past the door.

        NEIGHBOR DAD O. S.
    I'm home!

        KEENAN
You can ask my uncle tomorrow night, when you baby-sit me again.

        KATARINA
    Alright.

KATARINA lets go of KEENAN'S hand. SHIRA disappears.

INT.  DINING ROOM - NIGHT

MOM DAD and KATARINA sit at the table eating dinner silently. Katarina looks over her shoulder jumpily, then does it a few moments later.

INT.  KATARINA'S ROOM - NIGHT

KATARINA enters the room, peering into the hallway before she closes the door. She sits on her bed, once again staring at the picture. She looks around the room, opens her mouth to say something, then shrugs and lays down.

Now for the funny part. Today I was completely and utterly stuck for no reason, so Anna told me to write something random. I did.

A pumpkin floats by the window, followed by a zucchini and a cucumber. KATARINA GIADA ALEC and KEENAN turn to stare at the vegetables floating by for a moment, then turn back to their conversation without giving it a second thought.

The wind changes and the vegetables start flying into the window. Everyone in the airport turns at the sound of hammering on glass, and stare at the carrots and squash as they repeatedly fly into the building.

KATARINA
Is anyone going to do anything about that? They could hurt themselves.

An airplane touches down on the runway and, as one, the vegetables swoop around and start knocking on the airplane windows. You can see the startled faces looking out of the airplane as it slows to a halt next to the building, the vegetables are still wanting to get in. Everyone inside the building is now watching this spectacle.

People start getting off the plane, the crew and passengers hurry inside to escape the vegetables, afraid they’ll start attacking. But the vegetables peacefully form a line and start filing into the airplane. Soon everyone inside the building can see the cabbage and green beans taking their seats. There is the sound of a motor starting and the plane goes back into the runway. The first large pumpkin that everyone saw is flying the airplane.
Everyone inside watches with awe as the vegetables wave goodbye and lift into the sky.

Far in the distance a group of people from the nearby vegetable farm are seen running after the plane, waving their arms in pursuit.

It's soooooooo silly and I love it to death. Thats all for now, I expect I shall be posting sometime with the challenge.

By the way, good challenge Jessie. I shall have to think.... what do I want in my heaven?

Good luck with frenzy every one!

w00tw00t

So here is my challenge, i know we're all veryvery busy with SF so i'll keep it simple ;)

Write in "novel" form what your version of heaven would be.

  • Dont put in too much religous stuff,"kicking it with Jesus by the pool" and forms of is acceptable
Mine (although i havent written it out yet *sheepish grin*) would consist of a beautiful forest with the smell of fall air, all of my favorite foods, Sean standing there with roses and not being emo etc etc

  • It needs to be at least two paragraphs long and you can dwell on one thing if you would like

  • Also if this is a bit too personal for whatever reason or your just having a mind blank you can write about what one of your charectors version of heaven would be, or you can do yours and a charectors or whatever.

So i hope its not the lamest challenge ever and i hope SF is going well for all, but i am going to go pass out and sleep for a good 8 hours :D night all

Pg. 8 Screnzy Procrastination

So yes my title say it all. I am procrastinating from Screnzy and by doing so I stumbled upon this. It's my first 'fan fiction' Harry Potter style and it mainly was a character building exercise. It has a load of 'plot spoilers' for my fan fiction but, oh-well. And, because it was a character building exercise the writing is....weird sounding naration wise and Harry and Dragon have extremely different personalities than what you have experianced. So, uh. Enojy! (yeah, I'm too lazy to do the italics so imagine them where you think that they would be :D I love you all )
1: Memories

Dumbledore was dead, that was final. Almost everything Harry had hope in was gone, almost everything. Harry looked from the white casket over to a brightly red haired girl sitting by Neville. Neville’s face was tear stained but hers was like stone not a tear on it-not now anyway. Harry knew her too well to expect tears to fall down her freckled cheeks-all too well. He glanced at the red head sitting next to him; her hair was just as fiery as the other girls-he felt like he was sitting in a black room with sudden bursts of light here and there.
The girl by Neville turned her head from looking between the white casket and Neville over to Harry scanning his face the same as he had to her.
After awhile the funeral ended and the girl made her way over to Harry through the moving crowd and placed her hand on his while sitting next to him. “Hey.” Her voice sounded abnormally stable but her hand was slightly trembling.
Harry took her hand in his and looked at her, “Hi.” He replied looking into her eyes waiting for her to break down, ‘still too many people’ he thought to himself.
“You okay?” She gently took her hand and pushed his bangs off his forehead in an almost mother like way.
“No,” he looked into her gray blue kaleidoscope like eyes with green and gold flecks in them-by looking in thoughs you could almost look right into her soul-well he could anyway, “But neither are you.” He said gently.
“How’d you know?” a slight smirk appeared on her face, showing her trying to make things less upsetting.
“I know you.” Was his reply as he rubbed her hand with his thumb and looked around everyone was gone. In thoughs few seconds-maybe a minute-they had been sitting together everyone had drifted back into the castle-everyone but them.
The girl had noticed too seeing as she had put her head on him, “You know me too well, Harry.” She said her voice sounding less steady.
Harry kissed her head, “Well I am best friends with your brother, Dragon, I should know you.” He stared down at her small figure sitting beside him him, ‘how are you able to crack small jokes when Dumbledore is dead?’ he thought to himself.
Dragon wiped her eyes determined not to cry, “I thought you said you weren’t okay?”
“I guess I’m not quite acting like that now am I?” Harry said thoughtfully.
“No,” She said burying her head into his shirt.
Harry stared down at her fire red hair, he had only really known her for 2 or 3 years-his third year was still undecided. He had known since 1st year she was a Weasley from when he saw them on the platform but it wasn’t till 3rd year he really started talking to her. Of course that was with the exception of his second year when he had visited the Weasley’s house.
Harry watched Ginny run back up the stairs, clearly embarrassed and then turned back to the rest of the Weasley’s sitting who were sitting at the table. A kitten ran in pouncing on Harry’s leg as if being chased by a dog-but instead it was Scabbers.
“Patches!” A red haired girl ran into the kitchen, her hair full of waves causing it to slightly poof out. “Now I know what they mean by the saying-‘scaredy cat.’ It was just Scabbers, Patches.” The girl looked at Harry, “Oh, I’m sorry-she didn’t hurt you did she?”
Harry smiled picking Patches up and placing her on the floor, “No, she didn’t.”
“Harry, you must remember my twin sister Dragon.” Ron said acknowledging the girl.
Dragon smiled at Harry picking Patches up.
“Yet another set ‘o twins-I guess mum and Dad couldn’t just handle me and Fred but wanted another set to prove their ability to keep control.” George smirked biting into his food.
“George!” Mrs. Weasley scolded him as she continued cleaning, “Dear,” she indicated she was talking to Dragon, “help your sister she’s trying to find her jumper.”
Dragon nodded, “Yes mum,” She turned to Harry and smiled, “Nice seeing you again Harry.” With that she turned and ran up the stairs.
Several hours later, after she herself was dressed in suitable clothing and no longer in pajamas she returned downstairs only to find Harry entertaining himself by petting Hedwig, “My brothers abandon you or something, Harry?” Dragon asked cautiously walking towards him.
Harry turned to look at her, “They’re getting ready.” If he hadn’t known already she was a Weasley he’d of know just by the looks of her, her features were slightly off course not all twins are identical to their families but her hair and freckles gave it away with no mistake.
Dragon sat down in a chair by him, she was watching him carefully. Harry could oddly feel her eyes watching him as he turned back to Hedwig, “You want something?” He questioned.
Dragon shook her head, “No, just observing.” A tint of a blush appeared on her face but she skillfully hid it from his view, “Ron talks about you often.” She piped up again, “You are one of his best friends you know.”
Harry smiled lightly, “After last year it’s hard not to…you have a brave brother, Dragon.”
“He has brave friends as well.” She looked at him, Harry didn’t truly understand what she meant-nor would he till several years come to pass. Dragon smiled and got up and left the room leaving Harry slightly puzzled and alone.

Harry had learned quite fast that Dragon was not any ordinary wizard; she was quite wise beyond her years, remarkably motherly like Mrs. Weasley, and a truly wonderful wizard. Without Dragon, Hermione and Ron, Harry was not sure how he would have made it through his 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th years. Dragon had surprised him many times with her talent as a wizard, bravery and her unusual way for caring for people even if somehow they didn’t show it in return. In the shrieking shack when Sirius and Lupin were reunited, Dragon never once suspected that Professor Lupin could be of any evil nature and immediately took Sirius in as an ali and not enemy. During the challenges in his 4th year Dragon almost never left his side but that was not the only reason he was unhappy about Dragon being the one Cedric “rescued” from the depths of the water. In Harry’s 5th year was when he truly was blown over by Dragon, it started in the DA classes then it bloomed into the Department of Mysterious. She also scared him too, after the battle in the Department they could not find her and for him it was bad enough knowing Sirius was gone but to have his friend missing just made it worse. When they finally found her she was unconscious and she did not wake up for several months. Harry never told any one the two reasons he had been so distrot about her-one of them was she had saved him, he had been paying attention to something else and she saved him, that’s when things got chaotic and the best Harry could surmises was that when she saved him she also got hit with the spell meant for him and that knocked her out.
Harry glanced around there was only two people lingering in the background, he knew who they were without even needing to look at their faces, one of them was his cousin Riley(usually referred by her nickname “Hawk”) and Dumbledore’s wife Professor McGonagal. It has nearly keeled Harry over when he found out Dumbledore and Professor McGonagal were an item-then it all made complete sense. He glanced down at Dragon, her head was now resting lightly upon his shoulder, and he knew she knew that Riley and McGonagal were standing in the back. Within several minutes he heard their presence leave, “They’re gone.”
A small smile pressed on Dragon’s face as she sat up straight, “I’m okay.” Harry shook his head knowingly as he felt her hand tremble again in his own. He took his other hand and traced it along her forehead pushing unwanted hair behind her ears. He then traced two of his fingers from the middle of her forehead to her temple, beneath his fingers he felt the healing cut that she had gotten the night Dumbledore died, several other’s that resembled it covered her body from head to toe.
“You’re too stubborn for your own good, Dragon.” His eyes glossed and he knew why she hadn’t been crying yet-she knew he was going to. “It feels odd doesn’t it?” He started, “You know Dumbledore being gone and all. One moment he was here-the next…he’s not.” The tears welling within his eyes threatened to escape, his vision was blurred so much he couldn’t even see Dragon’s face.
Dragon slipped her hand from Harry’s and gently using both hands pulled him down to her so his now crying figure was lightly resting on her. She entwined her fingers within his black hair as she soothingly rubbed his head. “I know.” She finally spoke after a long silence; she had pulled her voice back up to its normal tone with no sense of a waver within it. “He was the life of Hogwarts, the candle shining bright at the end of a long dark tunnel…” She trailed of and Harry knew she was trying to stable her voice once more. “He meant a lot to all of us.” She entwined her fingers within his hair again and stared down at Harry, this was about the closest she had ever felt to him-the feeling of true friendship where a shoulder was always there to lean or cry on. She had never had a friend she felt that she could do that to, even though she knew all of her friends had her back, Harry was the only one to ever see her cry when Sirius and Cedric died. As her fingers played within his hair she lightly smiled, being this close to Harry felt good, her worries were gone at the moment-almost like Voldemort never existed. “He especially meant a lot to you, Harry,” she continued, “He took care of you like…” she started.
“Like his own son?” Harry interjected when he heard her loss for words, he didn’t know how he knew what she was trying to say, but he did.
“Thank you,” She rubbed his head once more, “Like his own son. He would have fought with you in the end-he would have fought with all of us. In a way he molded each and every one of us in ways we need the most. I can’t began to say what he has molded you into, I guess the best word would be….Hero…it combines almost everything.”
Harry wiped his eyes and sat up; oddly enough he did not feel ashamed for crying in front of Dragon. “What did he mold you into?” He prodded.
Dragon paused and stared at the white casket, Harry could see the gears within her mind turning like clock work. She sighed lightly before nonchalantly turning her head while lightly rubbing her nose with her finger. Harry knew she was trying to hold back the tears that danced the corners of her eyes. “He saved me.”
Harry looked at her confused, “What?” His tears were gone now, he looked at the sun and it was starting to set-he had been crying for longer than he thought.
“I’ll explain later.” The way she spoke made her sound ashamed of something. She stared down at her hands that rested between her open legs. “It’s….complicated.” ‘It’s very complicated.’ She thought to herself.
Harry nodded understandably, if there was one thing he’d learn since he came to Hogwarts it was that not everything in life was simple. He reached over and took her hand once more he felt it tremble immensely. “My turn.” He said simply and looked at her. She turned to face him and with gentle coaxing she put her head on him while tears streamed down her face. Harry stroked her head, ‘finally,” he thought to himself.
His touch was protective and caring when he stroked her head, kind of like Charlie’s. Dragon used to lie down on the couch in the Burrow and put her head on Charlie’s lap and he’d stroke her head till she fell asleep, then Molly or Arthur would bring her up to her and Ron’s bedroom and tuck her in. Bill would do it occasionally too, though his hands were not as rough as Charlie so it was much more of a gentle feeling. Fred and George did it once when she 5 and sick it was then she saw a whole other side of Fred and George she’d never seen before-a gentle side. On the days where Ron and her got along Ron would do it-which was every now and then.
“What are you going to do now, Harry?” She started fighting her voice to steadiness, “The school is not longer protected from Voldemort. He can come after you now more than ever.” She paused again but this time for a different reason, “The Dursley’s house is no longer protected when you turn 17-he could find you there.” Those words sent a sharp pang to the core of her stomach-the thought of something happening to Harry was unbearable.
Harry had to admit he had not once thought of either of thoughs scenarios but he did not think now was the time to discuss them. He lightly stroked her head, “Not now.” He said gently to her and stroked her head awaiting the sounds of sobs that came soon after.
The light faded from the sky, draining the life and light from Hogwarts-Albus Dumbledore-one of the greatest wizards to ever live is dead.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Minerva turned from watching Dragon and Harry to the room of adults that stood in her husband’s old office, “We have matters to discuss.”
“Perhaps a later date would be better Minerva…” Mr. Weasley started but Minerva held up her hand.
“I am perfectly capable of discussing this at the moment.” She sat down in Albus’ chair as she spoke.
“Where ez Riley?” Fleur asked as she turned to look at Minerva.
Minerva looked up at Fleur, “She is with her friends-at this moment it is the safest thing for her, they’ll comfort her the best they can and keep her safe.” She looked at Remus, “Remus-do you believe your house will be safe enough for her to stay there this summer again?”
Remus looked thoughtfully at a picture Dumbledore had on his desk of Andrew and Emily, ‘You make me feel safe Remus-like nothing can harm me. Only a couple people make me feel that way-I want my daughter to have that same feeling if something happens to me and Andrew. It doesn’t matter who or what you are Remus-you are one of my best friends and you have done everything for me and Andrew, and I know you would do the same for Riley. That’s why we made you Riley’s godfather’ The words Emily told him the night she died rang in his ear and he nodded while keeping a solemn looks from his face, “I’ll make it safe.” He said determinedly.
“I’ll help.” Tonks piped up as she walked in “Sorry for being late, I tripped a few times up the stairs.” She sat next to Remus who took her hand. Her hair was finally a bright bubble-gum pink once more, indicating a patched relationship between Remus and her. “It won’t be hard, just a few charms-besides, Riley’s doing wonderful in the DADA. Remus has been teaching her just as you suggested-he’s been tutoring all of them.”
“Continue that.” She moved her gaze from Tonks to Remus, “Those lessons are just as important, if not more, than the lessons they are learning here…at this point I am not completely sure if Hogwarts will open next year.”
“What will zee studentz do if Hogwartz doez not open?” Fleur asked as she sat next to Bill, “I would hate to zee the studentz not be able to learn ezpecially the zeventh yearz. What would Harry and Hiz friendz do? Iz Voldemort not on zee rize?”
Minerva sighed to herself and she smoothed some of the papers on Albus’ desk out, “I do not know what the students will do-a war is beginning and more than ever we need talented and of age wizards. If Hogwarts does not open we will have to find some way of teaching these kids magic-no matter how fast we must.”
“Several of them are highly advanced.” Remus piped up from the deep thought he had been in. “If such of an occurrence happens-perhaps…bare with me this is just an idea.” He started, “Perhaps, the more advanced witches and wizards could teach the lesser or young ones and in exchange they’d be learning too. The teacher would just be observing.”
“Sort of an under ground unofficial tutoring/learning school unknown to the ministry or the Dark Arts.” Bill finally spoke; he fully understood what Remus was saying.
“Exactly that.” Remus replied.
“It’s risky,” Minerva started, “If anyone found out-the dangers of that consequence would be immense.” She stared down at the desk thinking, “Although, the consequences of not educating these children would be death-which within itself we all know is more immense than any sort of trouble or danger we would be in for doing an underground school.”
“What will be done with Harry?” Bill inquired.
“He will return to the Dursley’s he’ll be safest there till he turns 17, then we will decided what to do from there…one step at a time.” Minerva looked up at Bill, her face looked weathered with sadness and stress.
“Would that not be Zafest for Riley too?” Fleur questioned. “If there ez a boundary protecting zee house why not have her ztay zhere where notzing can hurt her?”
“It would be quite safe for her to stay at the Dursley’s.” Minerva stated as she turned her eyes towards Remus whose face had fallen slightly. “Though…I think that there is no better protection for her at the moment than the man whom her parents entrusted their life.”
Remus lightly smiled but thoughs words tormented him, course when Emily and Andrew had asked him to be their secret keeper when Curtis said he could not, that he was afraid he would slip(even though his friends knew that would never happen) and would not want anything to happen to them because of him, Remus immediately said yes. He did not know how Voldemort and Snare had found out the location of Emily and Andrew’s house in that quaint muggle town but it had always bothered him inside. Remus being the secret keeper was supposed to protect them-not kill them but yet it had-what had he done to let Voldemort and Snare know of their whereabouts or were the two of them just conniving enough to stalk Emily and Andrew without either of them noticing.
“Should any of us be more careful?” Arthur asked as he noted the look upon Molly’s face.
“No more than usual, these are dangerous times and…” she paused and slightly laughed, “Indeed you are not talking about yourselves now are you?” She looked at their faces as they shook their head, “Course not-you two know quite well all the necessary ways of protecting yourself and children if necessary-this is about Ms. Weasley is it not?”
Mrs. Weasley nodded, “We have tried to keep this all quiet, Minerva, but the whole family is worried now, with the rise of Voldemort and him now being face to face with her many times he surely knows our dear Meygan-Dragon to some of you-is one of his own kin.”
“Kin?” Remus inquired, “I was not aware Voldemort had kin.”
Mrs. Weasley nodded and sat down beside Bill in between him and Remus, “He was a foolish young boy and while young married a girl and they had a child-when the young boy was 11 Voldemort killed his sons mother and the boy ran away, he stayed at Hogwarts all year except for the summer where he lived with the Blacks.” Her eyes moved to Tonks and back again, “You see the Black and Malfoy’s have a tied back ground with Voldemort. Black’s his cousins mainly, but the Malfoy’s are much closer. Voldemort had not one but two sons, Lucious and Alexander, why Lucious changed his name is unknown. Alexander kept his last name riddle, and once out of school he married a nice young girl he knew within the order that he met at work-“
“Voldemorts son was in the order?” Bill raised an eyebrow.
“No one but a couple of us knew him to be his son-he was quite loyal to our side considering is father had a death toll on his head. As I was saying,” She continued, “Alexander married a girl within the order named, Saria. They eventually had to go into hiding and could not got to the orders meetings, somewhere around two years after the Potters terrible death Saria and Alexander had a baby girl and not long after that they were ‘mysteriously’ murdered. For protection their daughter was given to some distant relatives of hers praying that her grandfather or his follows would not come after her. She was given to a rather large family and they claimed her to be the smaller of a pair of twins.”
“Meygan ez a Riddle?” Fleur’s eyes went wide.
“Much so.” Arthur said as he leaned on the wall, “though her traits are more like her parents than anything, except her temper and power. Both her parents were muggles but talented trackers nevertheless-in the muggle way course. We were quite shocked and relieved when Meygan got her acceptance letter, we were concerned that if she did not we would have to make up some sort of excuse for such a matter. Luckily or unluckily how ever you see it-she seems to have matured fast enough to match or exceed to look and act Ronald’s age.”
“Does she know?” Remus inquired. Dragon seemed far too surreal about everything to know that she was related to a man who was attempting to kill every one around her and possibly even herself.
Molly nodded, “She’s known since she was very little, she’s just been sworn to secrecy.”
Minerva was staring out the window now, the gears within her wise mind working at their full potential at the moment, “I believe.” She turned back, “the best thing we can do right now is to make it seem like nothing is wrong, if we panic and tried to hide her Voldemort will get suspicious and maybe even attack. Just keep an eye on things…if necessary,” She continued thoughtfully, “She could spend part of the summer with Harry at the Dursley’s…..until Harry’s birthday that is and then once again we’d cross that bridge when we come to it.”
“Like ‘ave zem live togethzer” Fleur looked quite puzzled by Minerva’s suggestion.
“They are more alike than they realize and they understand each other-I believe Mr. Potter needs that….and if Molly and Arthur do not have any objections….”
“None at all Minerva.” Molly said immediately, “In fact we’d take Harry in after his 17th birthday or perhaps we would work something out with, Remus.” She looked at Remus and smiled caringly at him.
“Anything that keeps any of us safe is enough for me, Molly.” Remus said and smiled slightly back before looking at Minerva. “I’d even see if Curtis would like to help out-I’m sure he’d be more that glad to lend a hand.”
“I’ll keep those suggestions in mind, right now I think we all need some sleep.” Minerva said signaling the end of the discussion.
“Yez, good idea, Minerva. We all need our rezt after all zeez experianczez.” Fleur said standing up as they filed out.
Remus kisses Tonks’ cheek, “I’ll meet you in the quarters…I want to talk to Minerva.”
Tonks nodded and walked out leaving Minerva and Remus alone. “Why did you choose to stay, Remus, is something wrong?” Minerva questioned as she filed through papers.
“How are you really?” Remus sat back down in his chair looking at her.
“Really?” She sighed, “Not well.”
“You don’t look well.” Remus said looking at her, “You need rest.”
“I have more things that need tending too.” Minerva looks at the picture of Emily and Andrew that Remus now found himself staring at. “In a way it’s a blessing that Albus left us….now hopefully him and Andrew can patch things up. I hated that Andrew died without truly knowing that his father never stopped loving him.” She picked the picture up and looked at it, “They were so happy, weren’t the Remus?”
Remus stared at the back of the picture frame tears burned the inside of his throat, “Yes, they were.”
Minerva sighed and put down the picture frame, “What did you want, Remus.”
“Are you really thinking of closing the school next year?” Remus inquired.
“Not on your life. This school means everything to me and some way or another I’m keeping it open.” Minerva’s tone was determined, hearing that tone brightened Remus’ spirits lightly. Remus smiled, “Pleased to hear that, Minerva.” He stood and started to walk out of the room.
“Remus,” Minerva’s voice stopped him, “Many people need you right now but I can think of 6 or 7 that need you the most, more than I or Tonks or Molly or Arthur. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Dygon, Meygan and Riley need you the most.” She sighed as he turned around, “What Riley needs now more than ever is you Remus, someone to teach her to hold onto what she loves while she has it because tomorrow it may be gone. Emily told me what got her through the day was thinking of her friends and family, how much they loved her and that at the end of the day she was going home to them. Make it the same way for Riley-for all of them, they may very well never see any of their friends again, Remus, they are not prepared for that….no one ever is….”
Remus swallowed hard, “I know.”
“Treasure what you have, Remus, you could wake up and it be gone. It happened to Emily, it happened to you once before and it has happened to me….it is going to happen many more times. Treasure Riley and Tonks and all the kids and people around you, tell them you care. Don’t ever leave a room without telling Tonks you love her; make sure the people around you know you care.”
“Did you tell Albus those words?” Remus inquired; by the way this conversation was turning he could only guess the answer was no.
Minerva glanced at the portraits hanging on the wall, “No. I suppose that’s why I feel that way.”
Remus smiled lightly and then his smile fell once more, “Do you believe Voldemort will go after Meygan? She is not only his granddaughter but she is close to both Harry and Riley-both of them have ‘close’ connections with him.”
“She is in great danger that much I will say.” She turned to look upon Remus, peeking up from beneath her eye glasses, “Though, she like Harry and Riley and many of the people around her is strong and powerful. She does not fear Voldemort; I have a feeling if given the chance she’d join the Order at any given moment.” Minerva fingered her wand and looked up again, “Those three, Riley, Harry and Meygan have very similar back grounds, give or take a few things. I have a strong feeling those three will be important within this war-so do I believe that Nickolas Kuldrun-Snare’s boy,” That name made hate boil deep within Remus, “Neville Long bottom, Luna Lovegood, Dean Thomas, Seamus Finnigan, the Weasley’s and Hermione Granger will have the same effect on the war or perhaps just be there to help the others-either way. They are all important.”
“Is putting her in with the Dursley’s….erm….safe by all means?” Remus wasn’t quite sure whom to fear for more, Dragon or the Dursley’s.
Minerva laughed at Remus’ tone, she had not laughed in quite awhile so the sound was comforting to Remus, “She will give them far more trouble than they will give her…perhaps even maybe she’ll whip them into shape, like they should be. Petunia and Vernon will be no trouble to her, they may try but she will give them a run for their money.”
Remus smiled lightly and frowned again swallowing hard as he looked at Andrew and Emily’s picture, “Riley would be safer at the Dursley’s wouldn’t she?” The thought of letting Riley go back to that forsaken house was horrible to Remus. He could just think of how Emily would react at that if she was still alive.
“Yes, the magical barrier protecting the Dursley’s house would be far more efficient for keeping her from the prying eyes of Voldemort and Snare,” Remus clenched his jaw at that name; he hated that name as much as Peter Pettigrew’s name. “It would keep them from touching her no matter what their distance away. Obviously the highest form of protection for her.” Minerva continued and Remus’ heart fell further, “Although,” She started again and looked up at him, “I do believe there is no better means of protection for her than the man that saved her parents lives many times.”
“Curtis did the same, so did Sirius and James when they all were alive.” Remus looked at her.
“True, Mr. Termdent did help, them and you immensely when you all needed it most but I do not believe he would be right for her to be with.” Minerva looked through her eyeglasses at Remus. Remus gave her a questioned look quite confused. “I believe at this time, Riley needs more than ever to be with the man that helped her mother fall asleep at night.” She held a hand up at Remus, “Let me continue. Yes, you, Andrew, Curtis, James, and Sirius made Emily feel safe as we all well know, but did she not tell you specifically that you and Andrew could do something for her that only a few people could do? Did she not tell you that you and Andrew made her feel like nothing in this world could harm her-not even Voldemort?”
“I just couldn’t keep his followers from killing them….” Remus slumped up against the wall.
“Remus, if it were not for you especially, Emily and Andrew would have died long before they did. Now personally I can’t think of a better person for my granddaughter to live with over the summer or learn to protect herself from.” Minerva smiled at Remus for the first time in a very long time and Remus returned her smile with his own, Nymph had always told him that she thought there was no better godfather for Riley but there was something about having it said from Minerva that felt completely different, almost like having Emily or Andrew saying it to him. That feeling was both wonderful and terrifying for him, he had spent the past several years attempting to forget the night Emily and Andrew died and every time he thought of them that night just flooded back. ‘Why did I have to be there that night?’ he thought, ‘if you hadn’t been Riley would have died-that would have killed both Emily and Andrew whether or not they already were dead’ “Thank you, Minerva.”
“You are most welcome, Remus, I mean those words with all my heart. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to turn in, good night, Remus.” She stood up swiftly.
“Good night, Minerva.” He replied and walked out to find Tonks standing down in the hall waiting for him. “I thought I said I’d meet you in the quarters, Dora?”
“I know, but I was too curious to wait in the rooms. What did you talk to her about?” Tonks’ kaleidoscope eyes twinkled at him.
“Meygan,” He started.
“Dragon,” Tonks corrected, “She prefers Dragon, Remember?”
“You two are meant to be related.” Remus muttered lightly to himself, “If you expect me to call my former student by her nickname, you must be out of your mind, Nym.”
Tonks smiled at him, “So what exactly about Dragon did you talk about?”
“Voldemort and the Dursley’s.” Remus lightly detached a fraying thread from his sleeve.
“What else? I know Voldemort and the Dursley’s would not take you that long.” Tonks’ eyes sparkled at him once more.
Remus sighed lightly and swallowed hard, “We talked about Riley, you know what would be best for her protection….we also talked but Emily and Andrew.”
“Good.” Tonks said, “It’s good for you to talk about them, Remus, you hardly ever do-kind of like Lily and James.”
Remus slipped his hands within his pockets, “I know.”
“Does Curtis know what’s gone on yet?” Tonks looked at Remus carefully deciding to drop the subject of his deceased friends.
“He should, I imagine Mad-eye would have alerted him. I’ll send him an owl first thing in the morning anyway, but not tonight-right now I think we all need our rest.”
At that Tonks nodded her head; there was no way she could argue that one. Within the past week or so everyone had gotten little sleep-even the students. It was time everyone sat back for a moment and or two and relaxed while they could.
Remus took Tonks hand and led her to the Staff Room where everyone was staying the night. Fleur was fussing over Bill, as usual, Mrs. Weasley seemed about ready to have a mental break down but was holding up nicely, and Mr. Weasley was setting up everyone’s beds along with Professor Flitwick who had come in to help.
Fleur looked up at them “Zare you are! We were Wonderink where you were.”
“I stayed behind to discuss some thing’s with Minerva.” Remus said as he sat down within a chair by Mrs. Weasley.
“What things?” Mrs. Weasley looked at him, “Is everything alright, Remus?”
“Relax, Molly, everything’s fine. I was just talking to her about the arrangement at the Dursley’s for Meygan, Riley and a few things about Emily and Andrew which just….came up.”
Mrs. Weasley looked at him with her motherly gaze and lightly patted his hand, “Everything will be fine.”
Remus nodded on the outside, but inside he had the worst feeling she was wrong. He picked up a piece of parchment and a quill, ‘Might as well write Curtis now.’ He thought as he etched Curtis’ name into the parchment and started a long letter that somewhere drifted off into a talk about their deceased friends which was quite unlike Remus, usually, but after these past weeks he thought it was time to change some things. This was one of them-no more hiding from memories.

2

As Harry and Dragon walks into the common room Riley popped her head up from behind a book to look at them, ‘always together’ she thought and shook her head smiling slightly before returning to look at her potions book. Potions was not her failing subject (completely) but not her scoring subject, her scoring subject this year-unlike a year ago-was Defense Against the Dark Arts. Charms, History, Transfiguration, Herbology and all the other classes were soon behind it-except for Potions. Course Riley knew it wasn’t her fault, her, Harry, and Dragon were all failing potions-Snape just had it out for them and it all made sense now, now that they knew he was with Voldemort. Dragon was Voldemort’s granddaughter, his good, muggleborn granddaughter who was just as powerful as him in many ways, but helping the side he was trying to destroy-talk about irony. Harry was Voldemort’s arch enemy-need I say more? Then there was Riley. Riley was the daughter of Andrew Dumbledore-Albus Dumbledore’s son-and Emily Evans-Lily Evan’s youngest sister. Her parents had been hunted, stalked and killed by Snare Kuldrun a close ‘friend’ and follower of Lord Voldemort. Riley’s past was about as confusing as Dragon’s and Harry’s. Andrew (her father) never liked Snare, who went to school with him, Remus, James, Sirius, Curtis and Peter-in fact they hated each other’s guts. It was mainly because Andrew liked Emily (her mother and at the time Snare’s girlfriend). It took Emily a long time to see how, shall we say, ‘not nice’ Snare was and once she did-he wouldn’t let her out and she was too afraid to risk it. James, Remus, Sirius, Curtis, Peter and Andrew came to her side and helped her out and she was very grateful to all of them (which was quite odd considering Emily seemed to strongly dislike Andrew). Once Andrew and Emily started going out things had started to go haywire, Snare was showing up at odd places to scare Emily and she didn’t like it-neither did Andrew or their friends.
Andrew went to his dad and told him he was moving out and changing his last name, course as the naïve young man he was at that time he didn’t want his dad’s help so he told him it was because of the teasing he got being a Dumbledore. Albus at first was understanding but then got mad at his son’s ‘selfishness’ and told him to get out. When Minerva had come in to break up the argument between father and son, Albus told her that he had no son and this boy was an imposter and he did not want to have anything to do with him. Andrew tried several times to patch things up with his father but it was not till the night he died that for the first time his actually dad took the time to read one of Andrew’s letter. It was then that Dumbledore found out why Andrew had really changed his name, to protect Emily as much as possible. Talk about a messed up family history.
If it hadn’t been for the fact the Riley had her father’s and grandfather’s ability to do magic without a wand she probably never would have come to Hogwarts. The Dursley’s distressed at their failure to keep Harry muggle decided they were going to make things right with Riley. Fat chance! They discovered fast Riley was just not meant to be a muggle-not that they were going to admit it. From the time she was very little she had fascinations with non-muggle things but they pushed her away from it. Then they enrolled her in a muggle school and through her 11th birthday they discarded every enrollment letter from Hogwarts. It was about halfway through her 11th year that things began to look down for the Dursley’s plan of muggletizing her (new word huh?). The Principal of Riley’s school had called the Dursley’s down to discuss some ‘abnormal’ behavior (muggles sure love that word ‘abnormal’). It seemed without Riley knowing, that when she needed something it would just seem to appear upon her desk, or when she got aggravated or upset something would happen (glass breaking, wind blowing harder, etc….). The Dursley’s mad at these ‘abnormal’ occurrences ripped her out of school and locked her within her closet sized room. When the ministry got a wiff of what had happened they immediately took action (quite surprising for Fudge huh?). They sent two ‘representatives’ to gather Riley and whatever things she had at the Dursley’s and take her away. The two representatives were Mr. Weasley and Kingsley Shacklebolt, the minute they entered the house Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon were like scared little cornered mice. They took Riley to Hogwarts where she spent half the year before going to Remus’ where she spent the summer with him going in between his house and the Weasley’s before going to Hogwarts the next year for her first full year. Riley was a full four years younger than her cousin but that had never stopped them from being close, in fact it made them closer if anything. Riley was more like a little sister than an annoying cousin to him and had always been that way. Though living at the Dursley’s might have had something to do with it.
Riley watched as Harry and Dragon parted ways and headed to the dorms. The common room had emptied but the misery still hung within the air so thick you could cut it with a knife. Fawkes’ sad but beautiful song still rang within Riley’s ears pleading with her up held inner emotions. Riley had learned-like many of her friends, such as Dragon-quite young how to with hold emotions for as long as mentally and physically possible. Riley slid her finger down the soft Phoenix feather she used as a book mark, its long, thin, and soft ‘bristle’ like extensions flowed like a wave beneath her fingers. She had known Dumbledore for only a year but it now felt like a life-time, she was not sure how she’d be able to face Hogwarts again knowing he was gone.
“Riley.” A teenage male voice said stepping through the doorway. “I was in the Library talking with Caroline…why are you still down here?”
Riley turned to look at him; his voice had snapped her out of her thoughts and back to reality. “I’m reading.”
The teenage boy walked over and sat in front of her, he-like her-looked quite older than he was, he was about 16 but looked more like 21. His black hair was deathly untidy but yet looked as if it was meant that way, his eyes-his dark, captivating, pool like green eyes looked almost identical to his father’s-it always seemed to make Riley shiver. “I’m really sorry about you’re grandfather, I…”
Riley cut him off, “Nick.” Riley called him by his real nickname, she had come to realize he, his cousin Dragon and Tonks all had one thing in common-they hated using their first names and only certain people could. She smirked gently at the protest going on within his eyes at his name, “I know you didn’t know, if you had you would have stopped it, or at least tried to. I doubt your father had anything to do with it, Dygon. Snape killed my grandfather and no one else. Snape and Snape alone killed him; your father did not kill him.”
“You can’t act like he didn’t have something to do with it, Riley. You know how he is; he was behind it-teamed up with Voldemort-we can’t deny that. If Voldemort has friends, dad’s his best friend. I just feel….” He paused he knew if he said the word Riley would just about slap him.
“Guilty?” Her tone was kind but scolding. She couldn’t be fully mad at Nicholas; his house hold growing up had never been a pleasant one. Snare, his father, was a follower of Voldemort and a murderer, his mother was killed after he was born and his eldest brother when he was 10-both by his father. His sister Caroline was a complete sweet heart, though she was shy around most people she was an extraordinary wizard who was always there for anyone who needed help, when she is living at home Snare would take advantage of his daughter’s timid ness and curse her often. His second eldest brother, Tomas had fled to Australia after Anderson’s (the eldest brother’s) murder, he just could not take all of the memories left at home. Then came Nathaniel, Nathaniel was close friends with Lee Jordan, Fred and George-that about explains it all. Finally it was Nicholas; he had always stuck more around his eldest brothers and his sister. He was the closest you could be to his father but still be good which seemed to worry a lot of people-they were afraid he would turn to his dad, though Riley knew otherwise. “Don’t you feel guilty,” She wagged her feather at him. “This did not in any way, shape or form have to do with your family. Your dad may have done some horrible things but he didn’t do this so relax-okay.”
A slight smiled appeared on his face, “I’m still sorry about it.” He scanned her face with his eyes. “I thought you’d be more upset than this.” His eyes and face looked worried, he knew her way too well.
Riley smiled to show him nothing abnormal was going on, “I’m okay, this happened for a reason.” She let her smiled fade naturally. ‘Such a lie’ she thought to herself, ‘you’re lying to him and he knows it, he just won’t tell you he does. You are the furthest from okay you have ever been, yet still you won’t let him help-what kind of friend are you?’
Nicholas nodded lightly, “Course.” He wasn’t going to fight with her, she didn’t want to talk about it now-he wouldn’t make her. “I’m going to be going upstairs-are you going to be going upstairs tonight?”
Riley looked past Nicholas and at the fire then back at him, “I don’t know to be truthful.” She sighed and looked down at her potions book, course she knew.
“I’m worried about you Ri,” Nick had never quite gotten used to calling her ‘Hawk’, her real nickname, so he stuck with ‘Ri’. “I know you as well as you know yourself, you aren’t as fine as you say you are.”
Riley looked up at smiled at him, “You’re tired.” She could tell by the look in his eyes that he was, “Why don’t you get some rest, we can talk tomorrow-we’ll have plenty of time then.” Truth was she, herself wasn’t quite in the mood to talk-she was tired and upset and just wanted to be alone but didn’t want to be rude to him.
Nicholas scanned her face again, took a hand and tucked some of her blonde hair behind her ears, “Alright.” He kissed her forehead and slipped the quilt off the back of the couch and onto her. “The fire’s not very warm.” He said as an explanation for his actions-which was quite unneeded Riley knew him enough to tell what every movement meant. His mouth turned up in a crooked smile, “Don’t stay up all night.” He stood up placing his hand on her knee in an almost fatherly way and smiled again, “Night.” With that he turned and walked upstairs.
Riley smiled and looked back down at her book placing the feather in it and shutting it. She laid the book on the floor and stretched, suddenly feeling drained she sunk into the couch. She placed her head on the back of it, watching the burning embers of the fire as her eyes slowly shut sending her into a deep restful sleep-surprisingly she
felt as if nothing could harm her.

Nicholas opened the door of the boy’s dorms and entered slipping his jacket off and laying it on his bed.
Harry looked up from his trunk and over to Nicholas, “Hey Dygon.”
Nicholas looked over and smiled, “Hey Harry.” On the outside he looked perfectly happy like nothing had ever gone wrong-on the inside it was a different story. He was sadden by the loss of Dumbledore-one of the only people who knew how good Nicholas truly was. Though that was not the only thing on his mind, he was thinking of his dad, with Voldemort now on the rise his dad would be involved with more things than imaginable and he would try to rip Nicholas, Nathaniel and Caroline away from their comfortable environment and back with him where their lives were always on the line.
There was also the subject of Riley and Dragon-Voldemort, Snape and Snare all knew of their whereabouts and what they looked like-would the Order, their friends and they themselves be enough to stop Voldemort and his followers from killing them-or trying to. Sure Riley and Dragon were wonderful wizards capable of about the same ability of magic as Voldemort and Dumbledore but neither of them were trained to that extent, Dragon was only in her 6th year she still had a whole other year and Riley was only in her 2nd year. Remus was training all of the students with permission of Minerva and out of the watchful eye of the Ministry but Riley was still not prepared for a full-blown battle against Voldemort, Snape and the man that killed her parents.
Nicholas sighed and sunk down onto his bed laying back closing eyes, his bed felt good considering he was tired, he and his family had spent the whole day trying to avoid the Ministry who had come to investigate the school.
Harry looked over, “Night.”
Nicholas smiled and crawled under his blankets not even bothering changing, “Night.” He and Harry were the only two left awake in the dorms so he had no difficulty finding peace and quiet to fall asleep to.
Harry lightly smiled and sat on his bed leaning into the pillows while opening a photograph album. Sirius had given him the album and had put a few pictures of Harry’s parents and their friends in it so it had been somewhat started. He looked at the pictures Sirius had put in and then flipped to where he had placed his own pictures.
Okay, I'll have to finnish that chapter sometime and actually post the end of it cause that's where I ended and never finnished and I dearly meant to go on about his burning 'passion for Dragon...just in none of that context and much more teenagerish and harryish.

Lauren's Shot at the Challenge

Okay.
So basically, you know how I said it was going to be a teaser?

I lied.

It is now a song about Zach moments. With a tiny teaser in the end.

Check, Yes Juliet
by We The Kings

Check, yes Juliet, are you with me
Rain is falling down on the sidewalk
I won't go until you come outside

Carlisle told me that Zachary Creullen, one of the Quilletes, had seen Alec going nutso on me and ended fending off attacks from him for my sake. A vampire.
Yesterday, anyways, I got to meet him. HUMAN him.
And though he smells like werewolf, he keeps looking at me all strange and asking me if I'm okay.

Check, yes Juliet, kill the limbo
I'll keep tossing rocks at your window
There's no turning back for us tonight

So, okay, I probably should have started out this whole thing by telling you that I have a new best friend. He follows me everywhere, he laughs and hangs out all the time, and truthfully...
Well, he's my best friend.

Lace up your shoes
Ay Ohh Ay Ohh
Here's how we do

Oh, he's very into sports, and plays back-up quarterback in football and is one of the most amazing players ever to play baseball for Forks High.
I, on the other hand, refuse to play sports and sure as anything don't play in the sun. Biiiig no-no.

Run baby run
Don't ever look back
They'll tear us apart
If you give them the chance

Zach was going to take me home, since I was wanting a little me time while Edward took Annora back to the humble abode, but as I sat in the bleachers, watching the cheerleaders, he showed up and told me that if I was going to mope, he wasn't going to let me do it in front of a bunch of jocks.
So we went to the First LaPush beach, and hung out for a while. It was actually pretty nice.

Don't sell your heart
Don't say we're not meant to be
Run baby run
Forever will be
You and me

Inside, everyone had gone to doing their own thing, Zach carrying me up to my room. He sat me down on my bed, and just let me cry for a while, putting his jacket over me.

Check, yes Juliet, I'll be waiting
Wishing, wanting, Yours for the taking

But I don't know what to tell him, because I haven't really thought of it in that way. It's so weird, having a best friend who comes all out and tells you he's in love with you.
Of course, it doesn't help if when the devoter expresses this, the devotee laughs until she can't breathe.

Just sneak out
And don't tell a soul goodbye

“I mean, well, I’ve kind of already imprinted.”
I blinked, and said what I was thinking slowly. “...On me.”
“Right. But since I’m not totally Quiluette, it’s not a big deal. I just can’t leave you without getting worried sick."

Check, yes Juliet, here's the countdown
3...2...1... now fall in my arms

Zach looked sick from across the table, where a box sat, wrapped in mangled paper. “What the hell, Clara?” He asked slowly. “Why?”
He shook his head and left without hesitating, his hurt worse than my own.

Now they can change the locks
Don't let them change your mind

"BECAUSE I'M NOT YOUR FRIEND." I yelled angrily.
There was a minute of silence, the rain pounding on the mud and grass between us.
"You're not my friend." Zach repeated morosely.
"I can't be," I reasoned. "I love you too much."

Lace up your shoes
Ay Ohh Ay Ohh
Here's how we do

"Okay; we were both stupid. But... Can I please ask you something, and if it's too soon, okay, and if I'm being forward or back to the stupid thing, that's fine, but..." He paused, "...Would it be okay if I kissed you?"
I stood up on my toes, every part of me wet and caked in mud, and wrapped my arms around him as he kissed me.

Run baby run
Don't ever look back
They'll tear us apart
If you give them the chance

Zach looked overwhelmed for a minute, and just as I thought he would run away, reached out and wrapped me in a hug, pressing my face against his shoulder harshly.
"Clara, I couldn't not love you..." he whispered.

Don't sell your heart
Don't say we're not meant to be

It was like I was normal and in love with someone who loved me for who I was, no matter what was going to happen.
"I love you." Zach said, as if he'd heard my thoughts.
I smiled and he kissed me.

Run baby run
Forever will be
You and me

I flipped my hair. "Tempting is in my nature."
"Thank God." He kissed me. "Anyway, I'll still be able to pick you up from school tomorrow, and we'll do whatever you want... Minus the whole 'bind Zach up and torture him for leaving'."
"Very funny. Do you realize you just ruined the whole aspect of what I had planned?"

Flying through the night
We're flying through the night
Way up high,

"It doesn't matter."
He kissed me again, wrapping his arms around me. "Two more days and I'll kidnap you. Just the two of us. No worries, okay?"
I sighed, leaning into him. "Okay. I love you."
He smiled, stalling at the doorway. "I love you more."

The view from here is getting better with
You by my side...

“Happy Valentines Day
I love you Clara Elizabeth
More than you could ever know.”

Run baby run
Don't ever look back

And then, as we were both falling asleep, he sighed, and I almost couldn’t make out whether it was a dream, or if he was sleep-talking, and said, ‘if I asked you to marry me tonight, would you?’ and I said yes; that I loved him forever, and always had.

They'll tear us apart
If you give them the chance

“So I did this.” I said in revulsion, the epiphany dawning on me with a morbid taste, bile creeping into my mouth. “I almost killed him by fighting him off.”

Don't sell your heart
Don't say we're not meant to be

“He’s in a coma, Clara. They don’t know if he’s going to make it.”

Run baby run
Forever will be…

“Zach! No! Zach, stay with me! Stay with me, okay?! Fight for it!”
I’m sorry, Clara… I’m so sorry…” he sobbed.

You and me.
You and me.
You and me.

MORBID.
I was all depressed when I was copy/pasting/writing this.

And since I put enough freaking HTML code in here, and can now spell 'center' at a very increased rate (html...), I'm putting up the song, Check Yes, Juliet on the player for a couple days. It's still on shuffle, but the song is the first on the list (not that it has a better chance of playing, but whatever. Moving on.).

No lie, guys, I'm in love with that song right now. This will probably change in a few days, but until then, wow. And as depressing as the above may seem, it's a lot happier when the song's being played - and no, the song is NOT depressing.

Feel free to eat it/kill it/love it/delete it.

LOVE,
Lauren.

Woopdedoo

So here's my challenge... it's not amazing but not NEARLY as bad as my first try, which was for WR and frankly sucked. Mostly because the song and clippets didn't match, but this works a ton better. It was kinda fun! :D

Annie - by Vanessa Carlton (I changed all the Annie's to Angel's, just to make it fit.)
Reaching For the Stars - copyright 2007 Anna Ingraham

Watch her as she flew deep within the blue

A day out from the county I.C.U.
There's nothing you can do
Someone gently says to you
The doctor says that now it won't be long

Angel smiled up at me, and my drumming heart stilled. She looked so much smaller than her eight years in that bed, the skin of her face drawn so tight and her eyes huge pits of knowledge. She was hooked up to several machines, and the beep of her heart was the only sound in the room. But she was still beautiful, despite everything, and she was still smiling. I felt tears well up in my eyes.

I try and live up 'til the moment and I hope that I don't blow it
And what is it in me that she hears?

“I’m here,” I whispered, reaching for her hand.
“Yes,”Angel breathed.
“How are you?” I knew that the question was trivial and pointless, as clearly she wasn’t good, but I didn’t know what else to say.
“I’m not dead yet,”Angel said, smiling. I laughed, and then bit my lip to keep myself from crying.

It's just a song she likes
Little arms around my neck
And a dying girl whispers in my ear

“I heard you sing,” said the little girl next to me. “And I saw him kiss your cheek. Is he your boyfriend?” Her intelligent eyes stared at me with interest.
“No,” I said, blushing. “We’re just friends.” But even as I said it, I wondered if it was even true anymore. “Did you like our song?” I couldn’t help asking the little girl.
She nodded. “It’s from High School Musical, right?” It was my turn to nod, and I was surprised that this small girl had recognized it so easily. “I think your friend,” here she gave me a teasing look, “Is a better singer then Troy in the movie.”

Tell me now can you feel it?
I've been keeping company with a ghost
She comes to me like a piece of summer
She comes to me on the days when I need it most

“Do you try to cheer up everyone you see who’s sad?” I couldn’t help asking, as Angel slipped back into the seat next to me, having ceased the woman's tears and even gotten her to smile. Angel turned her big brown eyes on me and said with all seriousness.
“Yes.”
“Why do you do it?” I asked, feeling awed by such utter goodness.
“Because I care,” Angel replied simply. She picked up her small bag and stood again. “This is my stop.” She smiled at me, her eyes crinkling, and then she was gone. I watched her through my window, as she swung her bag over her shoulder and began to walk down the sidewalk. Who would guess that inside this tiny eight year old with brown hair and freckles, wearing overalls and high tops, was the soul of a saint?

Well summer dies and nothing lasts forever
And you're so fine, the way you stand up to your fears
The summer dies and its just moments we have together
I'd give my bones for you to get a few more years
For you and I, oh Angel
More to life than trying to survive, oh Angel

“Why didn’t you want me to know about this?” I asked, gesturing to all the equipment Angel was hooked up to.
“I don’t like people-” she was having trouble talking, and I wished I hadn’t asked “to think of me- like that.”
“Oh Angel,” I said, unable to keep the tears in any longer.
“Don’t be sad. I’ve gotten to- do a lot.” She said the words bravely, but I could see tears glittering in her eyes. “I want you to- go- to the cafe.” I nodded, bending my head closer so I could hear her quiet words. “Tell them- I’m sick- that's why I couldn’t come.”
“But you’ll get better!” I protested. “And then you can go back and tell them yourself.” She shook her head weakly, and I could tell her energy was nearly spent. “”I won’t- be able. You go-for me.”

My boyfriend took pictures of me as I held you
I travel alone and the loneliness brings me to tears
The summer dies and it's just moments we have together

“What’s your name?” I asked.
“Angel,” said the girl, staring at me fixedly with her big brown eyes. “And I’m eight. Mom says I’m not supposed to talk to strangers, but I don’t really think you’re a stranger. You remind me of my sister. She sings just like you. What's your name?”
“Jenna,” I said. Normally I might not have wanted to talk to an eight year old girl, but I was still full up with happiness. The bus was warm, and this little girl, who’s name somehow matched her big brown eyes and freckles so perfectly, seemed just the right person to talk to.

I'd give my bones for you to get a few more years
For you and I, oh Angel
More to life than trying to survive, oh Angel

I stared at Angels receding figure with regret. Suddenly she tripped and fell, and lay there on the lightly snow covered ground, not moving. With a cry I ran forward and skidded down next to her. I shook her desperately, and she opened her eyes slowly, pain written across her face.
“What's wrong?” was the first thing I said to her.
She smiled a little, and then shook her head. “Just dizzy, I’m fine now.” I helped her sit, and then stand, but I had trouble believing that just a little dizziness could cause her to go so pale her freckles stuck out like bright dots of marker.

Stronger than the hands that hold you
You sing along to the song on the radio
If I drank too much when I am reckless
Just this once would you forgive this

“Do you-” I started hesitantly, not sure how to ask “I mean, is this what you do whenever you explore the city? Like you told me about?”
“Yes,” she said. “I get to know a lot of people this way.”
“How come you’re so eager to meet people?” I asked, feeling like I was talking to someone my age or older, not an eight year old. “I mean, you have your whole life ahead of you. You’ve got plenty of time.”
She stopped walking and looked at me, and I was alarmed to see something close to tears in her eyes. “Do I?” she asked in a quiet, sad voice.

And hold on, the days gone by
Tell me now can you feel it?
I can't keep this all to myself
She's elegant and she means it, no

“Are your eyes bothering you again?” she asked. The old lady turned to Angel with a smile.
“A little.”
“Shall I read some?” Angel asked, holding out her hand for the book.
“If you like, dear one,” said the elderly lady, handing her the book and then settling back against the couch with a sigh. Angel cleared her throat softly and then began to read, in an unfaltering and clear voice. I was pretty close to their couch so I could hear what she was saying, and it was nothing an eight year old ought to have been able to read. But it seemed to me that although Angel may look even younger then eight in body, she really was much, much older. In fact, it seemed almost as if she was the wisest person I’d ever met.

Years for you and I, oh Angel
More to life than trying to survive, oh Angel
Watch her as she flew deep within the blue
Watch her as she slips away from you

“She read to me,” said an old lady.
“She gave me beautiful pictures,” this from a lonely looking woman.
A young man spoke up. “She taught me french. An eight year old, can you believe it?”
“She was always like that, so much older than her years.” Heads nodded in agreement, and the table was quiet for a moment as everyone sipped their coffee.
Then I sucked up my shyness and spoke. “She taught me to care.”
Everyone turned to look at me, and I met their stares. “Dear,” said the old lady, placing her hand over mine, “She taught us all to care.”

I'll keep fingers crossed always for you

Challeeeeenge

Okay I finally did the challenge. It was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be! I didnt like it much at first but then Anna read it and liked it so I guess I have to post it. *sigh* It's about Taran and Ember.

Ordinary Day by Vanessa Carlton

Just a day,
Just an ordinary day.
Just trying to get by.

The school bus dropped me off in front of the library, and I hurried inside. The smell of old books and quiet readers filled me, and I sighed and relaxed. I needed a place I could escape to, a place where I wouldn't be lonely.

Just a boy,
Just an ordinary boy.
But he was looking to the sky.

There was a movement besides me and Taran was there, he looked up at the stars with me.

And as he asked if I would come along
I started to realize
That everyday he finds
Just what he's looking for,
Like a shooting star he shines.

"Wait! Ember!" Taran said as he stopped besides me.
"What did you want?" I asked.
"Well the thing is," he paused a bit nervously than continued "I want to come with you too."
"You do?" now I was really surprised. "I wouldn't think you would ever want to go back there."
"No I don't really, but I want to help other people like me," he explained. "My power, you see, its healing."
Healing. What a neat power that would be to have, I thought as he told me.
"Well all right, Taran," I said at last. "You can come." He grinned and ducked his head, and I smiled and continued walking.

He said take my hand,
Live while you can
Don't you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand

"It'll be all right," then someone spoke, and I turned around to see who it was. Taran was smiling at me and everyone, and he spoke again. "It'll all turn out for the best."

And as he spoke, he spoke ordinary words

"Ember, I've wanted to say something for the past weeks," Taran said after a moment of silence. "But I never could make myself do it. Now, I may not have another chance."

Although they did not feel
For I felt what I had not felt before
And you'd swear those words could heal.
And as I looked up into those eyes

I looked up at his face, the moon was shining on it. "What?" I asked.

His vision borrows mine.
And I know he's no stranger,
For I feel I've held him for all of time.

Taran opened his mouth-- sighed and looked away. He lifted his hands as if to explain something, but then he took a deep breath and bent down and I felt myself being kissed for the very first time.

And he said take my hand,
Live while you can
Don't you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand
In the palm of your hand.

Taran sat next to me, I wanted to talk but I felt shy all of a sudden. I just smiled a bit at him and he whispered "It'll be all right."

Please come with me,
See what I see.
Touch the stars for time will not flee.
Time will not flee.
Can you see?

Just a dream, just an ordinary dream.
As I wake in bed

The moon and the hooting of the owl outside stilled my tears, the night seemed melancholy for my sake.

And the boy, that ordinary boy
Or was it all in my head?
Did he asked if I would come along
It all seemed so real.
But as I looked to the door,
I saw that boy standing there with a deal.

"Ember?" It was Taran. "Are you all right?"
"Yes," I said after a moment, not quite able to keep the quiver out of my voice. I looked down and my hair fell about my face, hiding the tears. Taran slowly came forward and sat sideways on the bed, looking at the moon and me silently.

And he said take my hand,
Live while you can,
Don't you see all your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand
In the palm of your hand,
In the palm of your hand.

Just a day, just an ordinary day
Just trying to get by.

I shrugged, the feeling of soaring on clouds was leaving me and I was wondering that too. How had I known?

Just a boy,
Just an ordinary boy.

"Its because you're you," Taran spoke from the crowd and smiled at me. "You're you." I smiled back at him, a secret little smile and my heart was full of gladness.

But he was looking to the sky.

And there you have it! I did have all the lyrics slanty but it took it out when I copied it. Now I cant wait to see all yours! *chuckles evilly*

It's That Wonderful Time of the Month Again....

Challenge time--and it's my turn.

:D

This isn't my most inventive challenge but it is one and it's a somewhat easy one seeing as I'm being attacked by the storm I like to call homework. Anyway, onto the challenge. This months challenge is inspired by fan fiction--don't die just yet.

There's this thing in fan fiction where you write a 'story' OR a 'trailer' to a song. Let me give mine as an examples it's for my seventh Harry Potter fan Fiction (both):

Haunted By Evanescence:

*opening music/instrumental*

*black and white*

Carmen leans forward to look at the table "Voldemort's building up an army-greater than he ever has before."

Scene changes to Remus at Grimmuald place looking at Harry, Ron, Hermione and Dragon, "They're accusing muggleborns of killing wizards and stealing their magic.....Carmen's had to run."

"It's this or Azkaban....personally with whose running the ministry....I'd rather risk my life running."

*Color*

Long lost words whisper slowly to me

"Things are getting worse, Harry," Dragon whispers looking at him, "I fear there's no stopping what's to come."

Still can't find what keeps me here

"If you go after Voldemort, so do I, he's not just your problem Harry."

(Oohh, ohh oh ohh oh)

Caroline crosses infront of McGonagal,"They can't do this can they? Take everything over the way they have?"

"I'm afraid rules no longer apply."

When all this time I've been so hollow.. inside

"It's like the minute you find something everything is destined to fall apart, I don't know about you, Dygon--but I'm not letting your father and his friends destroy anymore of my family. There's a war going on and whether or not Remus approves I'm fighting in it."

(Beep beep beep)

"Riley!"

I know your still there,

"My dear old friend find traitors and mudbloods that had opposed us for so long," Voldemort hissed leaning towards the man before him, "Bring me back my blood and potter--do as you with their families the mudblood and Dumbledore."

Watching me, wanting me,

"Ever since I was born my grandfather had a price on head. I'm not spending the rest of my life living in fear of the man who murdered so many, it's not worth it--if he wants me let him come. I dare him."

I can feel you pull me down

"There are things in this world, Riley, you can not change. He's dangerous for you to be around," Tonks whispered, eye level with her, "if his father finds you, Remus' world will fall apart."

Fearing you,

"I'm leaving, Ron, there's nothing you can do to stop me--if I stay he'll just destroy you all. It's Harry and I he wants."

"But your my sister, where you go. I go. It's fact."

loving you

"She loves you, Ron, if you can't see it no one can."

"I'm not the only one who can't see who loves us, Harry."

I won't let you pull me down

"Carmen," Caroline breath and Carmen barely smirked, "You didn't think those death eaters could run me off the face of the earth did you?"

"Come out, mudblood, you cannot hide." Lucious taunted but she didn't move. Only death awaited from outside that pillar. A fate she wasn't sure she was prepared for.

Haunting you, I can smell you

"You were supposed to destroy her when you destroy her parents!" Voldemort boomed. "Well my lord, it was about as difficult as it was for you to destroy the boy--"

"ENOUGH! I'll find them myself, it seems to be the only way anything is done right."

Alive

"Mrs. Weasley did you ever think that possibly you're children are more capable of handling themselves than you thought?" Curtis questioned sipping his coffee nearly immediately as a glare was his response.

Your heart pounding in my head

"Harry," (beep beep) "I don't think we should follow her...I have a bad feeling about this, Harry. I don't trust her."

"Trust me, Dragon, everything's alright."

Watching me, wanting me

I can feel you pull me down

"You know what I have to."

"I know I do...but I don't want you to."

"I have to."

"Then I'm coming with you--this isn't just your war Harry, you aren't the only one that has things to avenge for or heal. Whether you like it or not but the minute you sealed my lips you sealed a contract. Where you go I go. It's simple."

Saving me, rapppping me, watching me *cough* (It's the lyric's people........and yeah I added extra P's looks a bit more like rapping now :P *is more comfortable and will probably change the word later*)

"So...what'd you think?"

"I think you were a very fitting, Aunt Bell, Hermione. You know...except for the fact that your politeness made me ponder if Aunt Bell had I dunno.....gotten amnesia and turned into my Aunt Andromeda but really, besides that...you are awesome."

(Watching me)

Greyback stepped on her arm, pressing down with all his weight before shoving her wand in the other direction.

I (wanting me)

Weak and disoriented she lifted herself

I (I can) feel you pull me down

looking at her wand as she did so calling it to her silently as a figure ran up. (Fearing you)

"Dragon-" I (Loving you)

And just like that Voldemort turned lifting his wand. "Avada Kedavra!"

I,

"No!"

I won't let you pull me down Her wand fell absently to the darkend wood's ground.

(beep)

My second one (these are kind of ideas I've had for awhile and more story-ish then the one above. The one above is kind of....trailer-ish)

These are also kind of heavily Carmen/Charlie

My Last Breath By Evanescence:

"Charlie" Carmen whispered walking into the room, he looked over at her, "You're light was on...I saw it from the livingroom." She walked over and sat next to him, "What's wrong?"

"I can't sleep."

"You have to."

"I know I do, it's good health." His tone was oddly sarcastic but Carmen frowned before putting her head on him, "I don't want to go either...but there's nothing I can do." She glanced up at him he was just staring at the wall, "At least this way if you need me...or the order does....I can help." He finally looked at her and kisses her forehead. "I love you."

Lightly she pulled back and smiled at him, unsure why tears weren't yet rolling don her cheeks, "I love you too." He put his forehead on hers, "What if they find out and come after you? You'll be all alone." She rolled her eyes, "I don't fear them, the only way they can make me fear them is if they take away any more of what I love--and I won't let them do that. I'm not afraid, Charlie, at least not for me."

hold on to me love
you know i can't stay long
all i wanted to say was
i love you and
i'm not afraid

Moments seemed to pass like hours, "I have to go, Charlie. The Order believed this would be the best time to do so."
"I know," He whispered fingering her broom before handing it to her. She glanced up at the sky and back, "I'll be fine, relax."

"Carmen," He put his arms around her waist, "I may never see you again...how can I relax? I want nothing more to say that I can't let you do this... they could hunt you down and kill you and I'd never even know."

"Voldemort will not tear us apart, Charlie. Never. I love you and you love me-nothing can keep love appart. He may try but I can tell you I will not be killed and if anything happens to the ones I love or the ones they love I can assure you I will be back in a heart beat. I'm not afraid. I can't afford to be, and niether can you." She put her lips on his, "You have to promise me you'll be careful though."

"I promise."

Can you hear me?
Can you feel me in your arms?
holding my last breath
safe inside myself
are all my thoughts of you
sweet raptured light it ends here tonight

"Charlie!" Carmen screamed as snowballs pumbled her to the snow filled ground. "Oh! YOU!" She turned back and shoved a good ten right back at them. "Well, what else am I supposed to do?! Throw marshmellows?" He shouted, "It's a snow ball fight!"

"The least you could do is throw one at a time!"

I'll miss the winter
a world of fragile things

"Carmen, we're not supposed to-"
"We're not supposed to go into the restricted section of the library but we do, I'm not allowed after elven and niether are you but at 12:01 you seek to my room." Carmen looked at him. "Face it Charlie. We weren't born to follow the rules. Now," She back into the forest. "You can wait here while I find the book myself and have a little adventure or come with me. It's your choice." She smirked and ran into the woods.

look for me in the white forest
hiding in a hollow tree

Carmen stared at the picture in her hands....how long would it take for the war to end? How long would she be seperated from those she loved? "Merlin I don't want to be here..." She murmured with tears rolling down her cheeks.

(come find me)

"Where's Carmen?" Mrs. Weasley asked and Charlie dropped his bag onto his parents kitchen floor. Heaving a heavy breath Charlie looked at them, "She's taking a vacation."

"Oh...everything alright between you--I would have thought you'd have gone together."

"Yeah, well," He paused, "she needed to be alone."

i know you hear me
i can taste it in your tears

Carmen held in a breath and rested her head on the tree behind her. It was nearly like she had infact been cut off from society all together. Which, mainly, she had. Closing her eyes she put the picture away. There was no reason in fixating in the past from a picture--she had more memories in her mind than any object could return. And that just frightened her more.

holding my last breath
safe inside myself
are all my thoughts of you
sweet raptured light it ends here tonight

Charlie laid down and stared at the cieling before temporarily closing his eyes he'd gotten through the first month okay and then the others. It was more like a dream now....everyday he felt like he should wake up and actually see her there. But yet, it made it easier--better to be in a pleasant dream sometimes than a reality filled with darkness.

closing your eyes to disappear
you pray your dreams will leave you here
but still you wake and know the truth
no one's there

Carmen stared at the stars thoughtfully. Things were so quiet. She had expected to hear from Kingsley now about some sort of attack and as much as she was saddened by the lack of family and friend contact she was pleased that apparently, nothing too horrible could have struck.

Or so, she hoped everyone she loved hadn't been destroyed in an atomic bomb like spell.

say goodnight
don't be afraid

"Carmen." Kingsley's patronus was easy to spot, "get to Charlie's parents--explain if there is time but don't waist time. The school's being attacked Tonks and several others are already on their way."

calling me calling me
as you fade to black

"Charlie." Carmen said coming into his house. "Carmen what are you--"

"Kingsley told me about the attack," She eyed him, noting he was about ready to leave, "I'm coming."

"But-"

"There's no time for buts," Carmen rushed quickly kissing him, "We've got to get there before it's too late." But, in many ways, it already was.

Now for number three, this could in many ways be a continuation:

Breaking the Habbit By Linkin Park:

It was so odd to Carmen, everything just seemed so much simpler when she first became and aurror instead of now. It was watch your back, watch your parents back, no wands in pockets, wand at the ready, point, aim, fire. But now, simple things seemed so much more complicated.
But then, everything seems so when you're staring into the past as your preparing to be thrown into the middle of a battle where there was everything to win or everything to loose just the same.

Memories consume
Like opening the wound
I'm picking me apart again

"Carmen!" Caroline exclaimed wrapping her arms around her friend nearly immediately and leaving Percy's side. "What are you doing here?! The ministry-the death eaters-Voldemort---"

"They're the reason I'm here, besides, you didn't think those death eaters could run me off the face of the earth did you?" She smirked lightly, "Not a chance."

You all assume
I'm safe here in my room
Unless I try to start again

"Oh Carmen dear," Molly said hugging her nearly ending all air from entering her body for a good 10 or so seconds. "It's so wonderful to see you and Charlie talking again." Carmen blinked and looked at Charlie who mouthed 'I'll explain later' to her while his mother's back was turned.

Carmen looked around the room and become suddenly worried. I don't want to be the one the battles always choose. "Where is everyone?" She asked "Harry, Dragon, Fred, George and Percy went that way, Hermione and Ron that way and Remus what that way and Tonks soon followed." Caroline and Percy explained and Carmen, whom had still been being hugged by Molly as if she was Harry looked at them. 'Cause inside I realize that I'm the one confused.

"Tonks?" She looked at Charlie they had spoke to Tonks before they left, "I told her not to, doesn't she understand?" She didn't wait for a response before quickly releasing Charlie's hand which she had taken after beind released by Molly and exiting the room.

I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean

"Carmen!" Charlie called but it was too late she was already bounding up the staircase with her wand in hand. "Relax, Charlie, Carmen's a great wizard she can handle herself." Molly said. "That's what I'm worried about," Charlie said, "Her having to handle herself."

I don't know how I got this way
I know it's not alright
So I'm breaking the habit
I'm breaking the habit
Tonight

"I told her not to," Carmen thought, she would have loved nothing more than to bop her dearest friend upside the head--both of them. She'd run up what seemed to be many staircases and still not seen any sight of them "Merlin let nothing have happend.." She breathed, but that one time, she seemed to be led into the wrong by her hopes.

She heard a cackle, a familiar cackle in the distance before it disapeared altogether. Bellatrix. "Tonks, Remus!" She called, swearing beneath her breath before running into the room the cackle had come from. Nearly immediately she stopped in the doorway and put a hand over her mouth. "Merlin no....no...please...no." She clamped her eyes shut. It couldn't be real, but yet when she opened her eyes, there they were lying there. Lifeless.

Clutching my cure
I tightly lock the door
I try to catch my breath again
I hurt much more
Than anytime before
I had no options left again

"Merlin, Tonks," She whispered wiping tears from her eyes as she knelt down, "I begged you not to. Why couldn't you just listen? Why couldn't the both of you?"

I dont want to be the one
The battles always choose
'Cause inside I realize
That I'm the one confused

"Morran." She turned her head hearing someone come towards the entrance of the room. Quickly she stood, wondering if they'd pass the room but they didn't. A shadowy figure entered. "Expelliarmus!" Carmen dodged it and sent it the disarming spell back at it's 'owner', "Protego!"

I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean
I don't know how I got this way
I'll never be alright
So, I'm breaking the habit
I'm breaking the habit
Tonight

The battle had been only going on for seconds before another figure, much more menicing entered and that battle lasted much longer. But they were determind and in a pair--she was on her own and dead set against using an unforgivable curse, probably the only easy way out.

Finally, somewhat tired and weary she made a commotion and disapeared, hiding behind a pillar to catch her breath. She kept quiet and closed her eyes for a few moments before opening them and keeping her hearing keene....they were quiet. Perhaps they thought she left...

"Why taking to hiding so suddenly?" Now the voices sounded familiar, "Come out, mudblood, you cannot hide." Lucious taunted but she didn't move. Only death awaited from outside that pillar. A fate she wasn't sure she was prepared for.

"Are you afraid of taking me up on that duel? Or do you suddenly believe us pureblood's could infact--wipe the floor with you?" Snare's voice slithered.

Carmen put her elbows on her knees and put the back of her hands on her forehead moving them around as she thought with closed eyes. Taking a deep shaky breath, glancing at Remus and Tonks before looking up and leveling herself she stood, walking out from behind the pillar. "Lucious Malfoy and Kuldrun, somehow, it doesn't surprise me." her eyes were locked on them, she'd made her decision. Never looking away from them she grasped her wand in her hand until her knuckles turned white. Too many people had suffered heartache, too many had been lost to the war...what would be one more. "This is where is where it ends." There was no point in hiding, hiding was childish--if this war was going to take those who she and others loved, she might as well give the others the better chance. Harry and the other's would find a way. She'd just stall these two as long as she could it had to be of some help.

"It's your funeral, Morran." Snare said before the duel continued.

I'll paint it on the walls
'Cause I'm the one at fault
I'll never fight again
And this is how it ends

"Avada Kedavra!"

I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream

Following his enterance with Collin Creevy Filch entered, visible before his entrence was a lock of brown hair. He placed her by Tonks and Remus, wand still clutched in her right hand and turned to Caroline and Charlie, "Found her upstairs not far from them."

But now I have some clarity
to show you what I mean

Charlie leaned forward and placed his elbows on his knees, "Merlin." He breathed placing his hands on his forehead.

I don't know how I got this way
I'll never be alright

"Charlie," Caroline said got up from Percy's side and went over to him, wrapping her arms around him, "I'm so sorry."

So, I'm breaking the habit

"Dragon, if you're coming with me we have to go now." Harry said and looked at her. She was staring over at her brother and family swallowing back every tear that was threatening to exit.

I'm breaking the habit

"Dragon?" He whispered coming up behind her, his breath seeming so hott against her suddenly cold skin. Piercing her lips and closing her eyes she slowly turned.

I’m breaking the habit

"I'm ready," She said and looked at him, locking eyes with him, "let's go, let's just end this thing before anyone else gets hurt."

Your assignment (should you choose to except it :P) is to write a 'songfic' either a trailer (like the first) for a fanfiction (if you have one) or for a physical book you're writing OR a story section between charactors set to a song. (like the last two)

Some sites with more examples (easiest to find LOTR or HP examples):

Just had to point out "Oh, Estel, I was positively smitten," *snort*

Just. Picture. It.

Ah. Yes. Lenia's heaven----her uncle saying "smitten". long with a bunch of other things.

Lenia*slaps Legolas* Legolas*blinks* WHAT?! Lenia: I'm never gonna have a sad story like that! Legolas*blinks* ...............I'm sorry? Lenia: Better.

It has been proven via this and many other 'fan fictions' that I, have apparently, become too attached to my charactors and their attachment to others because I BAWLED my eyes out reading through that example.

Curse you alter-ego Lenia.

So. Yeah. Welcome to your challenge. Have fun....if you have questions ASK please :) I'll try to help :D
